About: I am a certified vet assistant and I’m currently in school to get my vet tech certification. I interned at a vet clinic for 6 months and currently work at a dog daycare/boarding facility for almost a year now. I work part time. My shifts are either 6:30-11:30, 1:30-7 and on days I “double” I have a 2 hour break in between. I can always request time off if needed they are very flexible. Other than work I am doing online school so I can do it anywhere I need to. I have been around all kinds of breeds. I know the warning signs of when a pet is scared or not comfortable and I always take my time with new fur friends.

4. Cathie D.
“Cathie is wonderful with our dog! She lets her out during the time requested several days in a row, and has always followed through with our instructions! Bella loves her and Cathie locks up the house and takes care of meal time etc.. with love and care. We would highly recommend Cathie to take care of your pet as well!”

“Great dog walker! Reliable and easy to work with!”

6. Roxy M.

“This was our first time using Rover, hiring a dog walker or our senior 70 poind German Sherpard and Boxer mix dog, and Roxy was fantastic. She took our dog for walks morning and evening and kept the pace to match our dog. She also did a meet and greet with us. I would hire Roxy again. Thank you Roxy, we appreciate you!”

7. Natalie B.
“I have known Natalie for many years. I’ve also known her as a pet owner. She is a caring, patient, diligent, and connecting/empathetic pet caregiver! Her dog is provided for in every way, and is treated as part of her family. When interacting with people Natalie treats others as she would want to be treated, putting herself in others’ shoes —ensuring communication is timely and accurate. I can’t think of a better pet caregiver than Natalie. She has my highest recommendation!”

8. Raymond S.
“Raymond cared for our dog just like it was his own. He was responsible and showed up on time. He also walked our dog several times a day as well as playing and feeding. Highly recommend!”

“Laura is absolutely wonderful! She is kind and even tho I have a big dog she has no issue handling him. He reads her energy and can tell she is a loving gentle soul so he is being on his best behavior for her. She is always on time and goes above and beyond 🩷. My first experience having someone else care for my pup is with Laura and I truly could not be happier!!!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover and have been caring for animals ever since I was a teenager. Today I am the proud mama of a 2 1/2 year-old standard poodle named Biscuit and a 7 year old Labradoodle named Bart, both male. A couple of years ago, my teenage daughters started babysitting and pet sitting in our neighborhood and naturally I got involved every now and then which has led me to Rover. Something interesting about our family is that our older dog, Bart, is a rescue and has quite the story! We drove to Ohio in August 2019 to pick him up and when we got back to Charlotte, he jumped our fence at the time and was missing for 4 months. We worked independently and with an animal tracker over the course of those months - setting up cameras where sightings were reported, setting up food traps, and plastering flyers all over Charlotte and Matthews. Then one day in December, all of our hard work paid off and a lovely woman was able to lure Bart into her yard with her own dogs. It has been a long road since then, but we are blessed to say that he has come a long way and is a very different dog than the one we picked up in Ohio all those years ago! That experience taught us so much and was a true testament to the power of determination and dedication. We truly believe that Bart was meant to be in our family. I am currently a stay at home mom of older kids so I have lots of time and flexibility to work with pet parents needs. I have a large fenced yard that has been reinforced because of 1 of our own dogs being an escape artist. We do not crate our own dogs just because we have not needed to and will allow any dogs staying with us to roam freely with our own, as long as the parents are comfortable with that. I strive to make animals feel at home in our home because I know the feeling that comes with having to leave your animals in someone else’s care.

13. Elyse P.
“Elyse is a fantastic person to have for your dog, of any age. She's extremely engaging with the dogs, helping the dogs meet both their physical and mental needs! She would be great to have doggy-sit your dog, of any age, as I've seen first hand her ability to match the energy of a younger dog while also providing the gentle care an older dog requires.”

14. Madi B.
“Madi is so great with pets! She has watched my dog Ruby on multiple occasions and I always know I am leaving Ruby in great care with Madi! She is very attentive and loves my pet as if she is her own! I can leave with total peace of mind when I know that Ruby is in Madi’s care.”

15. Isabel F.
About: I grew up caring for a variety of pets at home and have done pet sitting around my neighborhood since I was around 11 years old. I’ve been around animals my whole life and love every breed and size! I’ve done extensive senior animal care as well as I had my most recent cat until he was 20 years old. I’m currently working part time, and my partner whom I live with works opposite hours as me, so when I’m not home someone will be! My apartment has a dog park and I’m happy to play outside with them and go on plenty of walks! I don’t have any personal pets at the moment so if your pet isn’t great around other pets that is no concern. I’m also comfortable with animals on the furniture and/or sleeping in the bed with me if that makes them more comfortable.

16. tara s.

“Tara was great! She took our dog on a walk during the day when we weren’t home & also picked up after him when he had an accident in the house. He loved her!”

17. viviana v.

“Viviana was great with our dogs. We needed somebody on short notice in a pinch and she followed the instructions that I sent via Rover and was able to walk them and give them treats, which our dogs loved. She did a good job and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Viviana again.”

19. Vladymyra K.
About: I've taken care about my pet dog since I was 6 years old. After that I kept taking care of my friend's, neighbors' pets. They relied on me to walk their dogs, to look after their cats. I also can take care of horses. Since I've been doing horse riding for four years at the age of 16. I'm currently working part-time. Moreover, my hours are flexible, hence I can walk your pups almost at anytime! Usually it's better to let me know in advance. But in case of any emergencies I also will be able to help you! I live in a private house. I have no pets so far. So I can spend time with your pets fully. I love active walks.
