About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, and horses. I previously worked as an equine veterinary technician and am comfortable with pets of all sizes and personalities. Growing up I did a lot of farm sitting and so I am used to juggling quite a few animals at a time. I currently have two cats, a dog, and a horse, so I understand how important it is to provide safe, loving, and dependable care. Because I work from home, I have the flexibility to accommodate different schedules and give pets the time and attention they deserve. Whether it’s a long walk, sticking to a feeding routine, or simply providing companionship, I’m able to be dependable and responsive. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and caring for them is a natural part of my everyday life. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, safe, and stress-free in their own environment. I am an extremely reliable person who has experience farm sitting and being extremely attentive to animals needs.
“Jordan has an amazing way with my high-energy, anxious rescued Aussie. Lilly was content, relaxed and happy when I came home. Gone was the usual anxiety I am typically greeted with! Lilly looks forward to seeing Jordan and we can both tell she loves working with dogs. I greatly appreciate her help!”

“Cassandra was excellent taking care of our cats while we were out of town! Very friendly and communicative! Overall a great experience that alleviated our worry leaving our cats at home for nearly a week.”

“Minh was amazing with our dogs. We have two senior, large breed dogs - one is blind and one is deaf. She handled them like a pro and the girls were relaxed the whole time. She gave great summaries and lots of pictures. We highly recommend Minh!”

“Dagnie did a great job with my dogs and cat! She sent photos at each visit and you could see how excited my pets were to see her. I returned home to find my pets well cared for. Thanks Dagnie!”

“Laura was a huge help with my cat when I went out of town for a few days. She sent lots of pictures and updates and made being away much less stressful!! Highly recommend!”

“Mylene has been a blessing! I work odd hours so leaving my fur baby can be difficult. She’s been so helpful and attentive, willing to come take care of her even with my sporadic schedule. She communicates effectively and has a really positive vibe, I trust her going into my home. My 1yo fur baby loves her too, she told me herself. :)”

“Sarah was the perfect drop in cat sitter! She communicates very well and easily understood all provided instructions and did an amazing job! Will definitely be using her services in the future!”

“Miesha was the best! She gave me plenty of thorough updates and took lots of pictures, and went above and beyond to not only take care of the animals but my personal property as well. She even brought her own printed reports to log details like how much the babies ate and drank. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone and will definitely be asking for her help again in the future!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch our dog, Valen, while we were away! Judd went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we met him, it was clear that he genuinely loves and understands animals. Valen took to him instantly, which gave us so much peace of mind. Judd kept us updated daily with photos, videos, and little notes about their adventures together, so we always felt connected. It was heartwarming to see Valen so happy and well cared for, whether they were out on walks, playing, or just relaxing at home. He even gave her a bath!! Judd was not only incredibly responsible and attentive to Valen’s needs, but he also left the most thoughtful gifts for our kids, which was such a thoughtful touch. We came back to a relaxed and joyful pup, and we’re so grateful for the love and care Judd provided. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like their own, look no further than Judd. We can’t recommend him highly enough!”

“Monica arrived on time and was very diligent with the instructions I left. Sent me several pics of my dogs while with them. I’ll definitely be using her again when needing a Dogsitter”

Natalie communicated well, was friendly and our first meeting was great and we will be using her services again!”

“Jane was amazing! She really went above and beyond with the puppies. She was so reliable, very responsible and made me feel so safe to be able to vacation knowing are dogs were well taken care of care of! We will be using her again soon and would recommend her to anyone! Trustworthy too….Thank you again Jane. You are a blessing!”

About: Hi, I’m Jillian. I currently own 2 dogs. A hound shepherd and mini dachshund beagle. Growing up we had a chocolate lab. Later on the family adopted a shepherd mix and then a husky. I also used to have an adorable little hedgehog and 2 birds. I currently work full time during the week and the occasional Saturday. Depending on distance I will be available for your pets for a mid day check in. I have experience at the Humane Society of Eastern North Carolina; walking/playing with dogs and feeding cats. I’ve also worked at an exotic animal farm (It’s a Zoo Life) taking care of the animals and assisting tours. I’m comfortable giving medications. Both of our family dogs take daily meditations as well as my hound shepherd. The husky is disabled, has had many surgeries and sometimes needs help getting around. I’m willing to pick up and drop off, bathe, walk and entertain your animals. I will also house sit, water plants or check mail if needed. I love puppies and kittens and I’m willing to stay overnight if needed. Exotic pets welcome! I currently work one full time job. Durning the week I have a break mid day. No breaks on the weekends but shorter hours. Depending on the distance of the address I can stop in on my break as well as before and after work. I like to stick to house rules of the owner. Please let me know specific things you would like me to oblige by or things to look out for. Otherwise the standard no crewing on people things only their own stuff, no getting on tables or counters, no biting, no pee/poop on furniture, etc.
About: I was born into a family of animal lovers and have never known life without pets. Over the years, my family has cared for 15+ animals, including dogs, cats and other small pets giving me lifelong experience with animals of different ages, sizes, personalities, and care needs. Today, I help care for our two dogs and am the primary caregiver for our three cats, so I understand the responsibility, patience, and consistency that pets need to feel safe and happy. I’m experienced with feeding schedules, administering oral medications, providing daily exercise, and making sure dogs receive plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection. Whether your dog loves to play, explore, or simply enjoys having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m currently taking a gap year before starting school and am part time self-employed, so pet care is one of my main priorities. Jordan was wonderful with all our animals! She took care of our 3 cats and a bearded dragon. Everything was cleaned with care and attention. It relieving to get back from a trip and all is well at home. All instructions were followed and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. Thank you Jordan!

Jennifer is a great sitter! She takes the time to learn the personalities of my 3 kitties and reports on their behavior during visits. So far all 3 have definitely warmed up to her and enjoy the attention she gives on visits. Jennifer doesn't mind doing a few extra things like giving special food & medicine along with picking up your mail. We just love her!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
