“Clarissa was my first rover and I was nervous about how Clover would do. Clarissa was so responsive, she sent me videos and checked in frequently with status updates. Will definitely be using her services weekly!”

About: I have eight years of professional pet-sitting experience and a lifetime of loving animals! My passion started early—my first word was actually "Bam," the name of my first dog. I launched my sitting business eight years ago by caring for a senior Basset Hound named Baxter. Senior care taught me the tough lessons right away (like cleaning up lots of pee!), so you can rest assured that very little phases me when it comes to keeping your pets clean and comfortable. I’m currently home from University, and waiting to hear back from a few retail jobs I applied for. I’ve got a lot of free time on my hands, so, as of right now, I can petsit or walk your dog at almost any time of day! While I can’t keep pets in my parents home, I’m entirely willing to take your furbaby out for lots of play time, and leave every place like it should be… Even if the mess wasn’t mine.
“As long as Katherine is available (which she is very often) then we will be booking her as she takes great care of our cats, sends detailed updates, and shares wonderful photos.”

“Penny is the diggety dog dot com. She is excellent with cats and dogs. She is great with my Frenchton which is a complicated breed at times. She also puts up with my sassy 6 pound cat! You would be lucky to have Penny watch your pets!”

About: Growing up, my family home was fondly known as a "zoo." Because of this, I am incredibly comfortable with all animals, from small, creepy-crawly critters to giant dogs. I have been responsible for animal care my entire life. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have farm-sitting experience looking after donkeys, goats, horses, and chickens (but I’m not limited to these animals). I started by pet-sitting for family, expanded to family friends, and am now looking to grow my business further. I am currently a college student with an open schedule for the summer. I am ready to look after your beloved pets while you enjoy your summer vacations! I am fully comfortable with overnight care. When staying at your home, I promise to leave the space spotless, water your plants and collect your mail. I am comfortable providing in-depth pet care, including administering medications. Your animal's health and safety are always my top priorities. I never put my phone on silent while on duty. I will happily send frequent photos and updates to give you complete peace of mind while you are away! My part-time schedule at Chick-fil-A gives me a lot of flexibility to care for your pets. I have every Sunday completely off, alongside 3-4 other full days open during the week. Because I am a natural morning person, I love waking up early and am highly dependable for early-morning feedings, walks, and potty breaks. I am excited to structure my weekly routine around your pet's specific needs! My top priorities are safety, consistency, and maintaining their comfort zone. I strictly follow your specific feeding, medication, and exercise schedules to keep your pet's routine like you never left! I also focus heavily on home security by double-checking locked doors and keeping the space perfectly clean. To give you peace of mind, I am more than willing to send regular photo and text updates after every visit so you always know your pet is safe and happy!

About: I am simply the biggest dog lover there is, there is something about them that makes me a better person. I have to say hi, pet and kiss every single dog I see anywhere. I've had dogs for more than 30 years and always cared for them as my babies. Taking care of someone else's dog gives me the chance to have another furry baby to spoil even if is just for a few days. I can appreciate that all of them have different personalities and needs and I do my best to treat them in such a way that they don't miss their family so much. I know they might be sad so I just do my best to make them feel at home. I work from home, I am very flexible to go visit your puppy early in the morning, lunch time and dinner time. If they are staying with me, they can have multiple outdoor activities. I big have a fenced yard and two super friendly Goldendoodles (boy 6 and girl 9) who are waiting to play and cuddle with your puppy.

I am 18-years-old, and will be attending the University of Tennessee in the fall! I have a part-time job as a hostess, but am looking to make some more money in my spare time to cover upcoming housing costs! I have ALWAYS LOVED animals, and thought Rover would be the perfect way to do that! I am ALWAYS available on Sundays, but will update my daily calendar each week in accordance to my work schedule being released! I’ve grown up with dogs, and have cat-sitting experience! I am flexible, and am pretty much open to any task that may be asked of me during walks or home visits! I look forward to working with you and your awesome animals!

About: Hi! I'm Nicole and I was born and raised in the Charlotte area and went to Weddington for middle and high school. I left for school at NC State and NC Central to study nutrition and dietetics, and then moved to Nashville before returning to Charlotte (my favorite place to live actually!). I have been caring for pets of all sizes for years -- my parents have a 10 pounds Boston Terrier, and my fiance and I have a 100lb yellow lab and a 60 pound Aussie/Pomeranian. I also watch our neighbors chickens! I work remotely, so I am the main caretaker of all pets and I love it :) Let me know how I can help you! I work remotely according to my own schedule, which I get to create myself. I do love a good routine, but I am easily able to adjust as we go with the flow because of my job. Consistent schedules are fun and easy for me to fit into my weekly work routine, but since I work on the go, I'm able to adjust as you need! I am able to travel as needed to assist you with your pet needs. I work with high security information, so I am very aware of security measures and safety within the home. Let me know how I can assist you to ensure your comfortability, cleanliness, and consistency in pet care :)
“This is my second time booking with Grace. She's professional and very caring to my cats. I always feel at ease having her taking care of the cats when I'm away!”

“Olha it’s been amazing with my 18.5 yr. old and 11 year old cats. One has chronic kidney disease and the other has IBD and both require medication and special food. I’ve had cat sitters for years as I am a flight attendant and travel often and she is really the first one who is able to administer medication easily. On the very first day, both cats allowed her to pet them, which is not usual for my senior cat so having her take care of my boys has been a stress relief. She truly takes her time to allow my cats to warm up to her and to feel comfortable around her. I highly recommend Olha for your fur babies!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Regina took such amazing care of our dogs while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. She sent regular pictures and updates, which made it so easy to see that they were happy, comfortable, and well loved. We are so grateful for the care and attention she gave them and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter.”

“Brittany was great with cha cha! It was our first time using her and she was so patient as cha cha got used to her. We really appreciated the constant communication and the videos and pictures along the way. Can’t wait to use Brittany again!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for approximately 8 years, beginning in middle school when I started helping my mom care for pets in our community. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for dogs, cats, and other household pets with a variety of personalities, ages, and needs. I provide dependable, loving care and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s drop-in visits, walks, feeding, administering basic medications, playtime, or overnight stays, I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and happy while their owners are away. I also believe communication is important, so I provide regular updates and photos to give pet parents peace of mind while they’re away from home. 🐾❤️ I have a flexible schedule and am able to accommodate pet care visits throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day. I am available for drop-in visits, dog walking, and pet sitting, and I do my best to adjust my schedule with advance notice when needed. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Weddington
Katherine took care of our cat for the first time, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was reliable, communicative, and gave our cat so much love and attention while we were away. It was clear she genuinely cared, and we came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty. We’re so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be booking with Katherine again. Highly recommend!

Linda did a great job with our pets. She checked on all three of them and gave them love while we were gone and also made sure that Dolly got exercise every day. She let me know when she heard an alarm going off in one of our rooms, which I really appreciate! Dolly seems to really like her and we appreciate having someone so caring come to take care of our pets when we need it.

Mia was the absolute best! I am always so nervous leaving my cat and hoping that the sitter will be warm and loving and she was this and so much more! He was in such a good mood when I returned home. She took lots of pictures and gave great updates. Would absolutely recommend and would 100 percent ask her to watch him again. Thank you Mia!

Jamie was wonderful with my little guy—attentive, caring, and clearly invested in his happiness. While I was out of town, she took excellent care of him and kept me smiling with daily photos of him being his sweet self. It was comforting to know he was in such capable hands. Highly recommend!

Clarissa was so sweet and knowledgeable, and we were so at ease having our being our sitter! We have some kitties who can have some conflicts, so it was a big deal how comfy we were having her watch our kitties. She provided pictures every visit and was easy to get a hold of if needed!

Penny did an excellent job taking care of our 2 cats. They were happy and well cared for when we returned. She also communicated with me after each visit and sent pictures that were fun and reassuring that the kitties were in good hands! She was always prompt and followed directions well.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Weddington. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
