“Lauren provided excellent care for our cats - she was attentive to all their needs; played with them and made sure they were safe while we were gone. I will definitely rebook her and recommend her to care for anyone’s pets.”

“I can't recommend Heather enough! From the moment I met her, I could tell she is passionate about dogs and truly cares about their well-being. Heather has an incredible rapport with my dog Coco and always kept me updated with photos and messages after each walk. Coco was always so happy and tired when they came back from walks and I could see that Coco was in great hands. Heather is reliable, professional, and always went the extra mile to make sure Coco was comfortable and safe. I feel so lucky to have found such a dedicated and kind dog walker, it was a huge relief knowing my dog received the attention she needed. Highly recommend! Beyond 5 stars!!”

“Kayla was 🤩 AMAZING! She took such good care of our kitty Steele and sent updates and lots of photos. We were able to enjoy our vacation with no worries at all. She really went above and beyond. We appreciated her so much and will use again without a doubt .”

“Jeff was amazing! When we met him for the meet and greet he said he always goes above and beyond- and he did just that. He did so many little extras for us while we were out of town and we cannot thank him enough! Banks received exceptional care and attention, we’ll always give Jeff a call when we are in need of pet services in the future!”

“Alexis took such great care of our dogs while we were away! When we got home, it was obvious they had been well cared for, which gave us so much peace of mind. We especially appreciated the adorable daily photos and updates - they made it easier not to worry while we were away. We would highly recommend Alexis to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!”

“Carolyn did so well with our sweet boy! She was very communicative, paid attention to the details, and gave him lots of love 💙 We highly recommend her and will definitely be using her for future trips!”

“She has been incredible with my special needs and senior cats! I have had sitters over the years as I travel for due to being applied attendant, and I can’t stress enough how much my cats love her. She takes her time to allow my cats to warm up to her. She is also able to administer medication to both of my cats. One has kidney disease and one has IBD… so both are on different medications as well as different foods. She has done amazing with both and provides a lot of updates with lots of videos and photos! Highly recommend’”

“Kelly was BEYOND amazing with our Thor! It was our first time leaving our lab for the weekend & although we were anxious, Kelly made the experience as great as possible. She took the extra steps to make our dog as comfortable & happy as possible, even with his anxiety! Kelly’s communication was wonderful through the Rover app & text messages when needed - she also took some amazing photos of our fur baby during her time with him! We would recommend her to everyone!😊”

“Briana was very gracious to accept a sitting schedule last min when a work event popped up suddenly. She took great care of my cat Lacey and let me know if any behavioral changes. It gave me peace of mind to know she was well attended to!”
“Alexandra is wonderful! She goes above and beyond looking after Tabitha and Louis. She brings extra treats and spoiles them with attention. I really appreciate that she'll go back later in the day if one of my kitties isn't there to greet her. I recommend Alexandra highly!”
“Sydney was so sweet to our dog! I booked her for a drop in visit so that he could be loved on and spend time with a person, walked, and mentally stimulated. Sydney did exactly that. So happy to have found her and can’t wait to call her again!”

“Kaylee was great! She is very communicative and respectful! My one fur baby was obsessed with her! My other one warms up slowly so she hid most of the time, but Kaylee was patient and let her have her space which I appreciated!!”

“Evgeniia did a great job taking care of my cat Butters! He's always nervous when meeting a new sitter but she was patient with him. She also helped out by bringing a package inside for me.”

About: I have been dog-sitting ever since I was 12, but in the past 4 years I have dog (and cat)-sat for friends while they are at work, going on long trips, or just to help them while they're busy ! I really love meeting new furry friends! My schedule is very open! I’m leaving my current full-time job soon and focusing on my small business, and I have been looking for a way to hang out with more dogs! I have one dog! She is a German Shepard so she gets lots of exercise, play time, and attention. She is brushed often and is given all the patience she needs and deserves!
“Excellent! Communication was great, and I always felt confident that my dogs were getting the attention and care they needed. He went above and beyond by even fixing my door handle while I was away. I came home to happy dogs. I highly recommend him and will definitely book with him again!”

“Shakoya was amazing with our fur babies!!! We have two big dogs and she was great with them and was always communicating what they were up to! Will 100% book again.”

“Katherine was great. Our Benny is blind and Karherine took amazing care of him, was extremely patient and made him feel very comfortable. We were very happy with her services and plan to use her again in the future.”

“Lydia took wonderful care of our dog while we were away. He is older and she was gentle and spent time with him each visit even though he can no longer take long walks. We will definitely use Lydia again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Mill. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
