“Excellent! Communication was great, and I always felt confident that my dogs were getting the attention and care they needed. He went above and beyond by even fixing my door handle while I was away. I came home to happy dogs. I highly recommend him and will definitely book with him again!”

“I cannot recommend Bethany S. enough! She was absolutely wonderful with Ace and Oryan during her drop-in visit. From the moment we connected, it was clear she genuinely cares about animals. She kept me updated with detailed messages, adorable photos, and even videos of my pet, which gave me such peace of mind. When I returned, I could tell that the dogs were happy, calm, and well cared for. She followed all instructions perfectly, from feeding and playtime to keeping the area tidy. Her attention to detail and loving approach made all the difference. If you're looking for someone you can completely trust with your pet, Bethany S. is the one. I will absolutely book her again for future services”

About: I have extensive dog sitting experience and a genuine love for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’m comfortable caring for energetic puppies, laid-back seniors, anxious dogs who need extra patience, and everything in between. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away, and I always strive to create a calm, caring environment for them. I’m experienced with walks, feeding routines, playtime, crate routines, administering basic medications if needed, and giving dogs the attention and affection they deserve. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique needs and personality, whether that means lots of exercise and play or quiet companionship and reassurance. My goal is always to make both pets and owners feel completely at ease. I work full-time, but I carefully plan pet care around my schedule to ensure every pet receives attentive, dependable care and plenty of love. I’m very organized with my routine and make time for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, check-ins, and quality attention before and after work, as well as throughout evenings and weekends. Because I genuinely enjoy caring for animals, pet sitting is something I intentionally make space for in my life — not something rushed or treated as an afterthought. I’m committed to making pets feel comfortable, cared for, and secure while keeping owners updated and reassured along the way. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine and create a calm, comfortable environment while their owners are away. I understand that pets feel safest in familiar surroundings, so I focus on keeping their schedule consistent with feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of affection and attention. I’m respectful, responsible, and attentive while staying in someone’s home, and I treat both pets and the home with great care. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so owners can feel reassured knowing their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for.
About: I have been pet sitting for friends and family all throughout my 4 years of high school and now in my sophomore year of college as a pre-vet student. I also worked at a dog daycare for 18 months handling food, medications, evaluations, reactive dogs, and bathing. I currently work at a vet clinic in my hometown as a kennel technician. I am a full-time college student on the pre-veterinary track who has very flexible weekends. I am available all day Friday-Sunday to provide the best quality care for your pets while you enjoy a weekend away! I can easily crate dogs in my clients home and provide frequent potty breaks and walks or backyard exercise as well as locate feeding methods, treats, and administer medication
“Kaylee checked on my kitties and they seemed to take to her well - they’ll often hide when people they don’t know are at the house, but they came out and said hi the first visit! Kaylee completed all requested tasks and spent time playing with them. Will book again 🙂”

“This was the first time that I have ever left my pups in someone else's care and I was nervous. I freely admit that I can be a bit of a control freak when it comes to them, but am so grateful to have found Angelena. She walked me through everything, asked good questions and made a great impression with my crew. For anyone out there who has a rescue pup with major anxiety, especially without being near their human, please know that my experience with Angelena was wonderful. I appreciated the fact that she was open about my girl dog being timid on day one, but by the next day they were cuddle buddies. I'm a dull homebody, but if I ever go anywhere again, I would want Angelena caring for my crew.”

I am available in the evenings during the week and available over most weekends! I work from home and have a good bit of flexibility. I treat my animals at home with great care. I currently have an elderly dog that requires a lot of specific care. I personally know how important it is to care for animals correctly and with care. About: Hi, I’m Katie. I love all animals! I have years of experience when it comes to taking care of pets and giving them the love they deserve. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 parakeet. I’ve been around dogs my whole life. My Lhasa Apso, Hugo, has lived with me since 2012 so I practically grew up with him. I take care of all of my pets at home. I make sure they are properly fed and that there is always fresh water available. Medicine is given in the evening. I will make sure your pets are fed and have water available, take them outside for potty breaks (or clean the litter box), and I love to play and spend time with them. If you are looking for a dog walker, I will take them for a walk in the neighborhood.
“Heidi was very reliable and cared for my babies well. One day she recognized the cats were nervous due to storms during the day and she decided to stay a little extra to comfort them. Heidi responded to messages promptly and reported daily on the status of my babies. Would book again and would recommend.”

“Excellent care given to our pups! Punctual and follows all instructions. Great communication— happy With her service and overall I highly recommend Angela! Will definitely use Angela again in the future. Thank you!”

About: Reliable, loving pet sitting and drop-in visits for animals big and small (no snakes or spiders, please!). As a lifelong animal lover, I have extensive experience caring for both small and large dogs—including owning Great Danes for many years—as well as cats and horses. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wintercrest
Grace W. came through again while we were out of town. Grace leaves detailed notes and pet observations. We have an elderly 19 year old cat that needs medication and Grace is happy to give her the meds. G. does a good job with our grumpy dog (he really does not like it when we are gone). Our 2 year old loves the pets! We are so glad to have Grace take care of our pets.

Aspen and Nathan did such a great job taking care of my dog and cat while we were out of town! They provided great updates and lots of pictures that let me know both animals were very happy and comfortable with them and put my mind at ease. We also had to change some of our plans due to the winter storm and they were so flexible and accommodating. We would definitely book with them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wintercrest. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
