They are both Bengals, so they are very high energy, are easily bored (which means getting into trouble!), and they do not adjust well to change. So for the two years that we’ve had them, we’ve only left them once (for a whopping 2 days!). Needless to say, our family has been in desperate need of a vacation. To say that Bethany was a blessing to us would be an understatement! It was so nice to find a pet sitter that loves cats (& animals in general) as much as we do - and clearly our kitties knew it! Our female cat can be very moody, and both cats take some time to gain trust - but they both actually let Bethany pet them and warmed up to her very quickly! I’ve been around dogs my whole life. My Lhasa Apso, Hugo, has lived with me since 2012 so I practically grew up with him. I take care of all of my pets at home. I will make sure your pets are fed and have water available, take them outside for potty breaks (or clean the litter box), and I love to play and spend time with them. We have two special needs cats, so it’s routine. Plus, I am a clean freak, so deep cleaning litter boxes is routine in this house. Because we’re such animal lovers, we are used to cat backpacks, harnesses and leashes. Plus, we have two catios, which we have found greatly increases their contentment. We know cats have spatial needs, so we have multiple window cat beds, 5 cat trees, 6 litter boxes, and even cat couches and hammocks. About: We are a loving family of 4 who love to care for dogs. We are seeking dogs who are kid-friendly because we do have two kids (10 & 11 yrs old) who help lend a hand in caring for your doggie. I work from home most days and am able to give your pup lots of attention. If we leave the house it’s not usually for more than 2 hours. If we are watching a puppy, we adjust our routine to the puppy’s needs. We have a fenced in yard and love caring for dogs in our home. We often go for hikes and love to go to the dog park too, so please let us know if you foresee any issues with this so we can make adjustments to our routine as needed. All breeds welcome, but no aggressive dogs allowed. Dogs must be house trained (with the exception of puppies).
