âKayla did 4 drop-in visits per day for our greyhound and kitty while we were away for a week. She stuck to the schedule, and sent updates and pictures. The cat didnât act up when we got home, which lets me know they were well taken care of. Iâm thrilled to have another trusted sitter my animals like, and have already rebooked for another trip.â

âHeather watched our four cats for a week and did a great job! She was proactive about communicating and super responsive when we had questions. We were worried that our anxious cats would be nervous the entire week we were gone, but by the third day they were coming out to see Heather when she dropped in. We got plentiful pictures at each visit, and Heather even brought by an ant trap when some ants got in. We will absolutely be booking her again for our next vacation!â

âWe are so appreciative of the care our dog received from Olha! We were able to meet her at our house before booking to show her around and introduce our dog to her. She was reliable in checking in with our dog for each visit, provided multiple videos, and updated us on eating patterns. She recorded the door being locked and even walked the dog around the neighborhood as apart of the drop in visit. We would recommend and hope she is available for future needs!â

âSydney was so kind to Lily and to me. She was great with communication and sent detailed report cards to let me know my baby was safe and loved on. She also stayed the full 30 minutes, which I have struggled with with other sitters in the past. I would highly recommend her!â

âHereâs the final version with your addition: "Kellie was absolutely amazing with our boy! She not only played and talked to him (because he loooves being talked to LOL), but she also added humor to her daily check-ins and photos, making missing him so much easier. Her communication was exceptional, always keeping us updated, and her notes were the highlight of our day. Knowing he was in such great hands gave us complete peace of mind. Kellie was incredibly reliable, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and fun sitter. She truly goes above and beyond!â

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life . I have a 6 year old golden retriever who is the sweetest boy. Iâm down for long walks or cuddle sessions with your pups. I work full time but Iâm looking to help with sitting or walking on the weekends that my son is with his dad.Scheduling will have availability typically every other weekend. Meet and Greets are not available for last minute bookings as I work full time during the week. If you require a meet and greet please schedule Atleast a week in advance. Doggy day care is restricted to 8 hours , if you need more then 8 hours please use the boarding option even if you donât need overnight. To ensure cleanliness of my home and my own dog, all dogs must be fully house/potty trained and be on preventive flea medicine and/or show no active signs of fleas. Dog will be combed for fleas upon arrival, if active fleas are found booking will be canceled. Iâm comfortable with dogs being loose. I can crate at night or Iâm ok with them sleeping with me. I do not have a yard as I live in a townhouse so dog would have to be comfortable on a leash for trips outside and walking. Dog would also need to be comfortable with stairs.
âAlexandra is Wonderful! She took good care of my 2 kitties and I enjoyed getting her reports and pictures everyday. Knowing they were looked after in such a loving way put my mind at ease while on vacation. Not only did she feed them, she inspected around the house for any accidents they may have had. I hope she will be available to call upon in the future.â

âKaylee checked on my kitties and they seemed to take to her well - theyâll often hide when people they donât know are at the house, but they came out and said hi the first visit! Kaylee completed all requested tasks and spent time playing with them. Will book again đâ

About: I have been dog-sitting ever since I was 12, but in the past 4 years I have dog (and cat)-sat for friends while they are at work, going on long trips, or just to help them while they're busy ! I really love meeting new furry friends! My schedule is very open! Iâm leaving my current full-time job soon and focusing on my small business, and I have been looking for a way to hang out with more dogs! I have one dog! She is a German Shepard so she gets lots of exercise, play time, and attention. She is brushed often and is given all the patience she needs and deserves!
âRiley and Sully have been visited by Megan for 3 drop in visits within the last 2 weeks. Megan has been very communicative and flexible with my atypical work schedule. She sends pictures and the dogs are living their best life, per usual, and enjoying play time with Megan.â

âCarolyn is the best!! She takes great care of my cat, Catarina. Catarina loves her! I can tell from the photos that she sends me. I donât need to worry about anything with Carolyn. She always does a great job!!â

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
