About: I grew up in a family that always had pets and working dogs mostly mixed breeds and some purebreds. I have had two dogs (one at a time) in the last thirty years. My first dog was a registered black Labrador. My wife gave her to me on our second Christmas together. Her name was Genoa - after the Italian city I studied in as a grad student. She passed away at nineteen years old. I now have a Maltese - Shih Tzu. He loves to play fetch even though he is eleven years old. I do DoorDash part-time, so I have a flexible schedule. I can work around your dog's routine to make sure they're fed and exercised regularly. In my experience, animals feel more comfortable and secure in their usual environment, so the only new element is my presence and how I interact with them. I have cared for dogs that need regular medications and exercise, and I maintain their schedule and activities as closely as possible. About: I’ve had dogs in my family home since I was about 10 years old! I’ve watched about 3 different dogs all at the same time and each had different needs. I love animals and playing with them and cuddling with them. Since I was 10 I’ve watched my families dogs and then I branched out to friends as well! About: My children want to pet sit your dogs! I will oversee their care and make sure all their needs are met but my boys will love your dog while you are away! They both love dogs and will treat them like they are their own. They will be well cared for, walked and have plenty of space to run outside. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
