Highly Experienced Canine Caretaker

Hey, I am Clarissa. Thank you so much for visiting my profile! I am a canine expert and certified dog trainer. I have always had a passion for animals, which lead me to my career in professional pet care. I've been working in the pet care field for several years, and before that I cared for dogs in a casual setting, and participated in local rescue and rehabilitation. Kenzie is my reliable and trusted assistant. She is also a certified dog trainer with several years of experience caring for dogs professionally at a boarding facility. Kenzie assists me in completing bookings if my schedule is already full. Kenzie will only be responsible for your booking if you give explicit consent for her to participate in your pets care, and you will have the opportunity to meet her in person well before your booking. Message me for a personalized quote for drop ins and overnight care for households with 3 or more dogs! Additional services that I provide include -canine transportation -canine physical therapy I am a life long animal lover, especially of those who need a little extra tender love and care. Growing up I spent most of my free time rescuing animals with my family, focusing on dogs especially but not limited to. I care for senior pets, aggressive pets, pets with medical conditions, and anxiety disorders. I can work with and care for several pets at a time and have years of experience doing so as a rescuer. I have niche experience in providing rehabilitation and physical therapy for canines, tailoring my care to the needs of the individual pet and their family. I am able to administer first aid if ever needed, as well as administer medication to even the most stubborn canines. I have key experiences with cats, dogs, and amphibians, and I don't shy away from cleaning up messes or cuddling. your pets health, safety, and happiness are my number one priorities, and I pride myself on my communication with my clients. -Clarissa

Your pets safety is my number one priority. I’m well aware of pets emotional and physical needs, and I have no problem enforcing their standard structured schedule while they are in my care. Clarissa and MacKenzie were wonderful with our dog. they followed through with two visits. Communication was superb, and reassuring since it was their first visit. Our puppy loved them. We cannot wait for the next visit.

House Sitting • Aug 10, 2026

I hate writing this review, I hate leaving less than glowing reviews, but considering this involves the care of animals I want to be honest. Clarissa is very nice, however while we were away she left our back door open twice and my dogs were able to get outside (I know this because a neighbor texted me that the dogs were outside and barking for hours, and then later Clarissa told be she accidentally left the back door open when she left the house). So the house was open and not locked up correctly. There was also an extreme lack of communication. It wasn’t until I requested that I get daily pictures and updates that, that started happening, and even then the information was sparse. So while yes when we got home the dogs were fine, I will not be rebooking. I know she has a ton of glowing reviews so I’m not sure if this was an off week or what, but it is not an experience I care to repeat.

Schedule

Rover is my main source of income, and the majority of my time is dedicated to taking care of peoples pets. I am in college, but I only attend in person classes twice a week. because of this I am able to devote tons of time to your furry friend and make sure that they are well cared for.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Clarissa & MacKenzie can host up to 14 drop-ins per day
To make a proper assessment of each client and their furry friend(s) I will need to know your pets age, medical history, a list of medications, the address and name of their vet, their energy level, daily routine, feeding schedule, and bathroom schedule. I would also love to know of any tricks they know!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
