About: I have taken care of and pet sat mat dogs of different sizes from a big German shepherd to a tinny little Chihuahua so there is no dog to big or to small for me to take care of I just graduated high school and am applying to college but I won’t be able to go until next year so until then I’ll be free the whole year unless my family needs me When it comes to taking care of any pets even my own I make sure to keep them on the same schedule they are used to as to make sure they don’t get stressed I also make sure to set alarms for set feeding times of any animal I watch over as well as playing with them and taking them out to use the bath room as needed I also will make sure that if I pet sit over night at someone’s house that the house will be perfectly clean when they come back and that there animal will be happy no matter what.
About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. Growing up we always had dogs/cats/fish. I am very active and love going on walks/runs. I'd be happy to have your pup tag along. I am familiar with puppies all the way to hospice senior dogs. More recently, we had to let our 14.5 years old bulldog go due to kidney failure. I am experienced in routines, meds, special harnesses, & subcutaneous fluid IVs. I like to live an active lifestyle outside of my 8-5 job. While with your pups, we can go on numerous “snifaris” - play fetch or keep away in a fenced yard - or even just snuggle on thr couch & watch tv! I currently don't have any pets. I live in a 3-story townhome with a minimal yard with no fence - but plenty of common areas and leashed walking space.
“Kristen did a fantastic job. She communicated well and took great care of my pup. Easy to work with and definitely will again in the future. I was cautious and hesitant to find someone to come into my home and take care of my dog. Now I have no regrets hiring Kristen and no hesitation using her again in the future.”

“Brandy is THE best!! She takes such good care of our animals when we are gone. She has cared for our dog, kittens and even a foster momma and 11 nursing puppies! Yes- she’s that amazing!! And she’s a mom herself so she thinks outside the box about things that need to be addressed while you are gone. Can’t recommend her enough! So thankful for her!”

About: I’ve had a Dog Cat and housesitting business since I was 15. I have several clients that can provide reviews and constantly recommend me to their friends. Currently, I’m available all day for a drop-in, I have a few clients I stopped by to feed their pets as they work late nights. My clients often get photos and comments about their pets. As a pet owner myself, I treat My clients pets as if they were my own Because that’s how I want my pets to be treated.
About: I've taken care of others pets for many years and will love them and care for them as if they were my own! I have a four year old spoiled rotten mini dachshund named Winnie, a black cat named Sweetie and a leapard gecko! My neighborhood also has a private pond and walking trail so if your baby loves to go for walks then this is the place for them. I am currently a stay at home mom with three older children that are in school the majority of the day. I will be home to love and care for your pet and give them all the attention they deserve without distractions I have a fenced in backyard with a loving dog of my own to keep your pet company! I only take on 2 to 3 dogs at a time so I can accommodate any specific requests needed for your fur baby such as crating, specific dietary requests, ect. I also have lots of ramps and stairs for smaller dogs and a gate that blocks my staircase leading upstairs.
“Katherine helped us out on short notice and was really thoughtful in taking care of our pup. We will be calling her again in the future. Good communication and prompt. Recommend.”

About: I’m a 19 year old student at UNC Charlotte and have grown up with dogs my entire life, so caring for animals comes very naturally to me. I’ve also dog and cat sat many times for friends, family, and others, including feeding, walking, playing, and overnight care. I’m comfortable with pets of different sizes and personalities, and I always make sure to follow routines closely so pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m available for check-ins, feedings, walks, and overnight stays with pets. I’m also flexible with my schedule and can adjust to meet a pet’s specific routine, whether that means multiple visits a day or staying longer to make sure they’re comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I always follow their specific instructions closely to keep their pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I make sure pets are fed on time, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, and any other care they need like walks, playtime, or litter box cleaning. I’m respectful of my clients’ homes and keep everything clean and organized. I also like to provide updates and photos so owners feel comfortable knowing their pet is happy and well cared for while they’re away.

About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn't just something I do—it's part of who I am. As a mom of four and the owner of three dogs, along with fish and frogs, I'm used to providing consistent, attentive care every day. Over the years I've also cared for rabbits, turtles, cats, birds, gerbils, ferrets, giving me experience with a variety of pets and their unique needs. I have a special place in my heart for rescue animals and understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra patience, I'll treat them with the same love, respect, and attention I give my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while keeping you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my schedule because I'm a stay-at-home mom with flexibility during the day. My children are in school, which gives me plenty of time to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, feedings, and check-ins without feeling rushed. Because I have a flexible schedule, I'm often available for daytime visits, and last-minute requests when my calendar allows. I understand that pets thrive on routine, and I'm committed to giving them the time, attention, and affection they deserve while you're away. During the week not available much after 2; however, I can be flexible on the weekends. I have a very busy household with 4 children (15,15,13,8) and 3 dogs (2 chiweenies 10lb, 16lb & 1 rescue pup about 30 lbs. So, staying at my place wouldn't work for most animals- but not opposed with it for special circumstances. My yard is fenced in.

I’ll do my best to make sure your pets are comfortable and taken care of! Hi! I’m Grace. I’ve always loved animals and enjoy being around them. “Sarah came to our home prior to our trip to meet our 4 cats and immediately bonded with them and thoroughly understood what would be needed. During our trip, Sarah came to the home and took amazing care of our 3 cats as 1 needed to be boarded due to medical issues. She completed all things needed to take care of our cats including: feeding, medication management, litter box cleaning and most importantly snuggle time. Sarah also took the time to get our mail and vacuumed the floors to clean up the litter scatter. We will definitely use Sarah again when we travel in the future!!”
“Justin was very responsive and stepped in same day after our usual sitter had to cancel last minute due to illness. He kept in great contact and sent updates on our pups. Both boys were well cared for and happy when we got home. Justin also brought in a package and closed the garage door we accidentally left open. I’d definitely book with Justin again and would highly recommend him. Thanks for caring for our babies!”

About: I've taken care of pets all of my life. From puppies all the way up to seniors. I love them all. They all need someone to care for them and feel the extra love especially when their normal family is away. I'm currently flexible and can fit pet care into my daily routine. Occasionally, I will pick up an additional job. But that shouldn't interrupt with taking care of what I love to do and that is to take care of fur babies. I would rather take care of your pets in their environment due to the fact that they are most comfortable there. I also have two fur babies of my own. But I feel as if fur babies are normally happy in their own surroundings.

“Bonnie is awesome! She is reliable and takes wonderful care of our puppy. She even works with him on training and brought him a new toy for his progress! We are thrilled to have found someone that takes care of our puppy like we would and that we trust in our home.”

“Maddie loved having Elizabeth and Kevin take care of her while we were out of town for 8 days. She took to them right away and always greeted them at the door when they came to feed her. We never had a worry while we were gone and knew she was in good hands. We will always trust them with pet sitting in the future. They are wonderful!”

“A week before we were leaving to go out of town for Christmas, the company I hired to watch our dogs cancelled. We have 8 dogs so it’s not easy to find someone to take them on, especially during the holidays. After calling well over a dozen companies I decided to try rover and found Ashley. I am SO glad I did. Ashley is by far the BEST pet sitter I’ve ever had. She is knowledgeable, trustworthy, patient and thorough. She not only loves dogs, she understands them and was able to deal with our formerly feral rescue dog’s behavior issues. Her updates were specific and made me laugh because she definitely understood our dogs individual quirks. Our dogs all got the attention we hoped they would while we were away. AND I came home to my house being cleaner than I left it! Obviously, we will hire Ashley again anytime we need a pet sitter. I can’t say enough good things about Ashley! Thank you for taking such good care of our babies!!!!”

Brandy was Awesome! She did an amazing job with our three cats and they loved her! Even our most skittish cat was almost feeing out of her hands by the end of our vacation! She provided awesome notes per each visit along with pics and responded promptly to every text. This was the most relaxed I've been with a sitter while away. She is now my go-to cat sitter!

Wonderful! Responsive! Kind! Evie is great! This was my first time using a pet sitting service and, as most pet owners would be, I was a little nervous! From the moment I met Evie, I quickly put aside my worries. It felt as if she were a family member taking care of the cats. Always kept me informed of the visits and any possible changes that needed to be addressed. Will definitely contact her again when we need help in the future. Thank you Evie!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
