“Jill is AMAZING! Our pup has pretty severe separation anxiety and is shy around new people, so we were a little nervous to leave her with a sitter for the first time. Turns out we had nothing to worry about — Jill was incredibly understand, kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure Aspen was comfortable and happy. Will absolutely rebook in the future. She is just the best!”

“Karen & Bob are fantastic and always put our minds at ease when they sit for our fur kids. The cats and dogs get special love and attention with the best care. We are so thankful for what they do.”

“Laura was absolutely amazing! Just what we wanted and needed for our little Sunny. She was responsive, sent lots of pictures, very flexible with the times, overall a very great experience. Sunny was a happy girl when we came home!”

“Leia is definitely a cat with a big personality. She usually doesn't let strangers get close to her, so I was honestly amazed that Alina managed to earn her trust. She was incredibly patient, never pushed Leia, and let her come around at her own pace. To my surprise, Leia even allowed Alina to pet her, which almost never happens. It's clear that Alina truly understands cats and knows how to make them feel safe. I couldn't have asked for better care for my little princess. Thank you so much! I would happily book with Alina again 🩷”

“Andy was really great with our shy kitties. One of them started to warm up to him towards the end of the week. Both kitties ate well and were happy to see my wife and me when we cane home. We will definitely use Andy again.”

“Samantha is great! Our dog had GI issues right before we left but she was reassuring, confident and was very helpful. Sent us pictures and flexible with his needs. Will use her again!”

“If I could give 10 stars I would! Magalay is so great with our animals. She’s super responsive, and takes the most beautiful photos while she’s house sitting. I never have to worry about how our fur baby is doing while out of town as she keeps us updated and my dog absolutely loves her (and she only loves her family). I can’t thank her enough for all the time and care she gives and she’s even amazing with our 18 inch bearded dragon! Highly recommended and I’m so pleased I found her and she agreed to be our pet sitter!”

“Erica was absolutely amazing and I would recommend her to anyone! She was so sweet and took great care of both of our dogs while my husband and I were out of town. She sent multiple updates with pictures of them throughout the day. She stayed at our house and the place was spotless when we returned. My dogs were very comfortable around her and got lots of cuddles while we were gone. I will definitely reach back out to Erica again when needed!”

“Madison was awesome helping my wife and I out with a last minute booking! She was great with both the dogs and cats and spent far more time with them than was expected! She took great care of our home and sent lots of cute pictures while we were out of town. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and hope to do so in the future!”

About: Raising my dog from four moths old to now 7 heads old has taught me the patience, consistency, and understanding that pets need at every stage of life! I'm currently on break from school so my schedule is wide open and very flexible! I'm willing to work early mornings, nights or overnight, I’ll fit in with your schedule! I care for pets in my clients home by following their normal routines, keeping their environment familiar, and giving them plenty of attention and playtime! I make sure they are fed, safe, and comfortable!

“Lauren was very detail-oriented and thorough. She followed my instructions to a tee and asked her own questions to make sure she was prepared. She left my house exactly how I left it. She took such great care of my fur baby and always gave descriptions that were intentional and creative. I will recommend her to anyone and will use her again for my next vacation away.”

“Christy was great to work with! She was an excellent communicator, sent frequent pictures and updates, and took great care of Hank. Would definitely use Christy again and highly recommend.”

“Sophia was absolutely wonderful!!! She stayed overnight with our dogs and took such great care of them while we were away. She was kind, reliable, and such a great communicator from start to finish!!! We loved getting all of the photos and updates, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pups were happy and well cared for. She took them out several times a day for walks, gave them lots of attention, and made sure they were comfortable and loved!!! We came home to happy, relaxed dogs, and we are so grateful for the care Sophia gave them. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!!!”

About: I was raised with dogs and have been affectionately referred to as “the dog whisperer” all my life. I have lots of experience with rescue animals because my family helps transport, foster, and support them. I have delivered newborn puppies, given flea treatments, and handled cats & dogs of all temperaments, abilities, shapes, and sizes. My calm confidence is a great comfort to the anxious hearts in my care. I look forward to meeting your family and learning all their lovable quirks! I live at home with my parents so while it is difficult for me to board animals at my house with my dogs, my parents are home and can care for our animals when I am gone. I petsit full time so most days it is just me and the animal(s) I am caring for. Depending on their regular schedule, I try to keep their daily routine intact. My house has a fenced in yard with a dog door to a screened in porch that my dogs love. If I am watching a social dog, I will check with the owners and invite them over to play. My house has seen many rescue transports and one of my dogs is a foster fail so my house is already chaos proofed. I usually prefer to keep up the owners daily routine by staying in their house and feeding their animals at the same time and in their usual spots. It is a comfort to not change everything about their environment while they are anxious. When I take them on a walks, I usually let the dog show me the way as they know the regular route by heart. If they are older and nap 10x a day or if they are energetic and play fetch 3x a day then that is what we do, it really depends on each family’s individual needs.

No matter the service, my professional background means I am constantly monitoring your pet’s behavior, stress levels, and health. I provide detailed, happy updates and photos after every visit or overnight stay so you have total peace of mind!
“Justin was great! Sent great photos while we were away and was very communicative! The dogs loved him. He left our home clean and took great care of it while we were way. 5/5 would recommend!”

“Philip was so accommodating with my schedule. My pup loved his care and company. Philip gos the extra mile for sure. Would highly recommend him to others and will be using his service in the future.”

“Shalisha was wonderful! She was super kind and respectful. The dogs loved her and she kept us updated with their well-being at least 2x a day. When we came home everything was clean and left in great condition. Will def be booking in the future :).”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wesley Chapel
Evie is great with our pups. It was our first time using rover as we normally had family watch them while away. We couldn’t be happier with the attention she gave our pups. She is very knowledgeable and patient with our sweet boy Beau who is timid with strangers. She provided pictures the entire stay which made us both feel great while gone. I highly recommend Evie if you need someone to house sit while keeping an eye on your dogs.

Reese has housesat for me with my golden retriever a couple of times now while I've been traveling, and I always feel safe and comfortable with the care she provides for both my dog and my home when I'm away. She is thoughtful and responsible and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anybody who wants to make sure their pet gets plenty of attention.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wesley Chapel walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wesley Chapel maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wesley Chapel choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wesley Chapel. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
