Jill is AMAZING! Our pup has pretty severe separation anxiety and is shy around new people, so we were a little nervous to leave her with a sitter for the first time. Turns out we had nothing to worry about — Jill was incredibly understand, kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure Aspen was comfortable and happy. Will absolutely rebook in the future. She is just the best!

Brittany was absolutely amazing with Sammy! She took such great care of her, making sure she was walked, fed on time, and comfortable the whole time I was away. I really appreciated the regular updates and all the sweet pictures she sent, which gave me peace of mind. Brittany is incredibly reliable, attentive, and clearly has a lot of love for animals. I highly recommend her and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!

Leia is definitely a cat with a big personality. She usually doesn't let strangers get close to her, so I was honestly amazed that Alina managed to earn her trust. She was incredibly patient, never pushed Leia, and let her come around at her own pace. To my surprise, Leia even allowed Alina to pet her, which almost never happens. It's clear that Alina truly understands cats and knows how to make them feel safe. I couldn't have asked for better care for my little princess. Thank you so much! I would happily book with Alina again 🩷

About: I was raised with dogs and have been affectionately referred to as “the dog whisperer” all my life. I have lots of experience with rescue animals because my family helps transport, foster, and support them. I have delivered newborn puppies, given flea treatments, and handled cats & dogs of all temperaments, abilities, shapes, and sizes. My calm confidence is a great comfort to the anxious hearts in my care. I look forward to meeting your family and learning all their lovable quirks! I live at home with my parents so while it is difficult for me to board animals at my house with my dogs, my parents are home and can care for our animals when I am gone. I petsit full time so most days it is just me and the animal(s) I am caring for. Depending on their regular schedule, I try to keep their daily routine intact. My house has a fenced in yard with a dog door to a screened in porch that my dogs love. If I am watching a social dog, I will check with the owners and invite them over to play. My house has seen many rescue transports and one of my dogs is a foster fail so my house is already chaos proofed. I usually prefer to keep up the owners daily routine by staying in their house and feeding their animals at the same time and in their usual spots. It is a comfort to not change everything about their environment while they are anxious. When I take them on a walks, I usually let the dog show me the way as they know the regular route by heart. If they are older and nap 10x a day or if they are energetic and play fetch 3x a day then that is what we do, it really depends on each family’s individual needs.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Magalay is so great with our animals. She’s super responsive, and takes the most beautiful photos while she’s house sitting. I never have to worry about how our fur baby is doing while out of town as she keeps us updated and my dog absolutely loves her (and she only loves her family). I can’t thank her enough for all the time and care she gives and she’s even amazing with our 18 inch bearded dragon! Highly recommended and I’m so pleased I found her and she agreed to be our pet sitter!

Jade was an absolute lifesaver. I booked her semi last minute for the Fourth of July and she immediately was able to come over the next day and meet my animals. Her communication was the best I’ve ever had. She sent so many pictures and videos of not only my animals but her playing and interacting with them. I eventually stopped checking my phone as often because I knew they were 1000% safe with her. They even looked like they were having the times of their lives. I will definitely be reusing Jade in the future!

About: We're offering our home and attention to your four legged family as if though they were one of our own. We don't overbook and rarely take in two clients at a time so that we can offer your pup a calm and relaxed environment without a whole pack of dogs parading around. Three bedroom house with a backyard enclosed by privacy fencing where most of the fun goes down! We love to keep our guests physically and mentally stimulated so they have just as great of a vacation as you do. Whether they'd rather play fetch or just curl up to relax and snuggle, they're sure to have a great time! I work primarily from home so there will be ample opportunity for playtime and attention. I have experience with obedience and agility training, as well as a few years in a grooming salon so I'm comfortable around all breeds and sizes. Pitbulls to Pomeranians and everything in between, all are welcome here. I do require that any guest be potty trained, have basic training/manners, and be dog friendly, as we have another pup in the house and possibly a foster dog at the time. Additionally, they must be fixed (or be well trained to not mark/dominate) and up to date on all vaccines, paperwork will be verified prior to arrival. I do accept titer tests if you are trying to avoid over-vaccinating and welcome raw feeders as well. It's our goal to provide all of our guests with a safe, healthy, and pleasurable stay! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to send a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Want your furbaby to be loved on and get exercised while you're at work? I'm also available for weekday daycare drop offs for a reduced rate. Let your pup make some friends and get tired out instead of being bored and alone all day. I'm also available to do home visits as well if within a certain radius of my location. So if you have a feline companion you can rest assured that they will receive all of the love and care that they're used to. Why I love dog sitting I have always loved dogs since a young age. I grew up with my family's GSD and when he passed I was gifted with a Weimaraner puppy who I trained in both obedience and agility and was my constant companion through the years. Although I have most experience with larger dogs, I worked in a grooming salon while in college and handled many smaller breeds as well. Meet my pets Lil' is our pride and joy who we rescued from a bad situation when she was only 5wks old. She's become the most wonderful addition to our household and loves playing with our guests. She's very good at reading different personalities and will engage in play or give space to a guest depending on how their personality dictates. Luna and Cozmo are our little house panthers who we decided to adopt after we rescued their mom and litter mates from a junk pile. They adore the pups, but can easily be kept up in another room if guest dogs aren't a fan. About my yard We have a fenced in backyard that is accessible by doggy door and surrounded by wooden privacy fencing. Concrete patio connects to the backdoor, then a gravel common area with two raised vegetable beds (no plants are toxic to dogs), fire pit, and arbor. My experience administering medication Yes, I will administer topical, oral and/or IM medications free of charge.

FAQs for House Sitting - Mineral Springs

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Mineral Springs on Rover is $63.83 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,600 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mineral Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mineral Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mineral Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mineral Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mineral Springs. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
