We were able to meet with them and walk through everything. They communicated daily with pictures and videos which was so appreciated. They were so responsive to any communication. Our home was taken care of beautifully. Bruce had the best week going for walks, having treats and being super loved. 10 Stars!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience from working at a doggy daycare. I have a dog of my own and regularly care for my family’s pets, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own! I am a teacher and I am currently enjoying my summer off. I have tons of time to come play and care for your pets! I care for pets with a mix of love, attention, and routine. At home or at a client’s home, I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable by sticking to their usual schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime. I always give lots of affection, keep their space clean, and pay close attention to their behavior to make sure they’re happy and healthy. Every pet is unique, and I do my best to meet their individual needs with patience and care!
“Orima is so incredibly sweet. I left both of my pitbull babies with her overnight and she kept me updated and informed every step of the way. Both of them looked incredibly happy and well adjusted in all of the photos she sent. I will definitely be booking with Orima again.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would! Magalay is so great with our animals. She’s super responsive, and takes the most beautiful photos while she’s house sitting. I never have to worry about how our fur baby is doing while out of town as she keeps us updated and my dog absolutely loves her (and she only loves her family). I can’t thank her enough for all the time and care she gives and she’s even amazing with our 18 inch bearded dragon! Highly recommended and I’m so pleased I found her and she agreed to be our pet sitter!”

“Lara was very responsive when setting up the visit and agreed to meet ahead of time to go over some of my pups quirks. She kept me updated throughout her stay and Jambo seems very happy and calm when I returned home. I would definitely book Lara again.”

“Shalisha was wonderful! She was super kind and respectful. The dogs loved her and she kept us updated with their well-being at least 2x a day. When we came home everything was clean and left in great condition. Will def be booking in the future :).”

“Andy was really great with our shy kitties. One of them started to warm up to him towards the end of the week. Both kitties ate well and were happy to see my wife and me when we cane home. We will definitely use Andy again.”

“Tatiana stayed with our dogs for a few days while we were out of town and she did an amazing job! We have an adult rescue with anxiety and a rambunctious puppy, and she handled them wonderfully. She communicated quickly, did all the puppy-proofing things to keep him from destroying things, and left the house in perfect shape. We'll definitely hire her again.”

“Absolutely amazing experience — we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our three boys! She was incredibly attentive with Hanks medications, gave them tons of love and playtime, and handled each of their very different personalities and needs with ease. One of our dogs, Arnold, has some behavioral challenges, and she handled him like a true pro. Moose can also be pretty anxious, and she made him feel completely comfortable and secure. Knowing they were all happy and well cared for allowed us to actually relax while we were away. She kept us updated with pictures throughout the stay, took wonderful care of our house, and went above and beyond in every way. We came home to a sweet note and printed pictures of our three boys waiting for us — such a thoughtful touch and the perfect ending to an already fantastic experience. We would 100% trust her with our dogs and our home again and can’t recommend her enough!”

“Stephanie was a 10/10 find on Rover! I’ve used Rover 4-5 times in the last year and Stephanie was one of the best sitters for my girl. She was extremely communicative the entire process from initial message to departure. She followed my instructions to a T. She is a lovely, lovely woman and a pleasure to engage with overall. I recommend her to any and all pet owners seeking care!”

“Brittany was excellent. I felt comfortable having her care for my dog and cat. She went above and beyond. Especially, with my dog who was not easy to care for. She communicated with me everyday and was on time. Also, she sent pictures of my babies to show they were in great hands. I would definitely use her again in the future.”

Words cannot describe how phenomenal of a pet/house sitter Carson is! She went above and beyond for our entire 9 day trip, taking the most incredible care of our animals. Our cat had recently been diagnosed with diabetes right before our trip, and she was so observant about any changes in behavior and managed the insulin administered beautifully. Our dog is absolutely obsessed with her too! She is an excellent communicator, followed every direction to a t, and is so thoughtful. When we returned from our trip she had completely deep cleaned all the common spaces and the guest room she stayed it, even offering to do the laundry. I seriously cannot recommend her enough - we will definitely be rebooking her every opportunity we get!!

Brittany was great with rex. She sent me daily pictures of him and he looked happy and relaxed. During her stay with rex he did develop a sore on one of his paws but Brittany kept me up to date with him daily and even went so far as to get him a cone to prevent further issues with his paw. I would recommend Brittany as a house sitter and dog sitter any day.

Cassie took wonderful care of our one-year-old Australian Shepherd mix and our 16-year-old cat. Frankie is full of energy and needs lots of exercise and attention, and Cassie handled it all with ease, sharing great photos and updates along the way. We felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such good hands and will definitely be using her services again!

Aby was wonderful, we could tell our potatoes were treated with as much care as we normally do. Momo kept going back to the guest room afterwards looking for her. She followed our instructions and we have no complaints. Our place was left clean, and she even left out a thawed dog food packet for us in the fridge. It was really nice coming back from a trip without feeling overwhelmed about making sure we had the little stuff to take care of. We definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book again for our next trip. Thank you much Aby!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hemby Bridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hemby Bridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hemby Bridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
