I am home! I’m working on going back to school and am currently working from home or only needing to go in to work for short periods. When house sitting I will go to spend time with my family or check in on my cat but otherwise would be at the house. When boarding I am home, my family is home in the evening and weekends so lots of extra attention for doggos!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a large fenced in yard for playing and burning energy. I also keep a watch on the neighborhood walk schedules of other dogs as well as the traffic patterns since there are schools and large neighborhoods around me so that I walk when it’s calm, less cars, and we’re less likely to be out with other animals. At the clients home I make sure to follow the rules and schedules as they’ve been given, keep to the areas for walking and play that the pets are used to and know to not potentially lead to unknown situations. In all things I keep to the routine and stay aware.

Information Samantha W. would like to know about your pet

I want to know the feeding schedule, any medical issues, emergency contacts, and the dog's preferences for play. I don’t condsider anything TMI for dogs, I’d even want to know how often they go the bathroom so I know everything is as it should be. I also ask for anything that might set the dog off. I work with a rescued dog regularly and she has her triggers and cannot be taken on walks because she can be aggressive towards strangers. These are things I need to know before dog sitting. I have no breed preferences or restrictions.

A typical day

One of my favorite things to do is go walking/running with dogs. It’s the best to de-stress with a nice walk at the end of the day or to have the excuse for a break to go out and play.

Pet care experience

Animals are the kindest, sweetest souls and I love spending time with them. I have been boarding/house sitting pets for about 15 years but I grew up in a family that bred dogs and always had at least one in the house. I have taken care of all breeds large and small as well as all ages. I recently adopted a rescued kitten, he’s 3 months old and he’s stolen my heart. Surprising for someone who is known more for her love of pitties than kitties. I will still board dogs but now they need to be cat aware, nonaggression, and friendly as well as have experience staying in an apartment. My place has lots of windows plus a glass door so dogs that are noise or people reactive will not do well in my place. And if they are constantly barking they will stress out the rescued kitten and the dig sitter. House sitting would be better and less stressful for all. I do meet and greets for all new dogs and families to make sure the dog likes me, the humans like each other, and for boardings my new feline overlord Toothless approves of everything. 😆

Samantha is great! Our dog had GI issues right before we left but she was reassuring, confident and was very helpful. Sent us pictures and flexible with his needs. Will use her again!

Samantha was amazing! The house was clean and pups were well looked after and happy (I think they hated to see Samantha go). Ive been looking for someone to house sitting for quite some time and am so happy that I finally found Samantha! I have complete peace of mind with her watching our babies. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Finn and Fianna!!

Samantha was very reliable! She followed our instructions to a T and was very attentive and loving to our two furry children. Our cat has a special diet which needs unique preparation and she prepared it as if it were normal. We could definitely relax knowing our two pets (dog and cat) were in very good hands.

Samantha is fantastic with my two little chihuahua mixes! One of them tends to be a bit skeptical of new people but she warmed up to Samantha right away. Samantha always sends me pictures and notes on the dogs when she stops by and it is such a relief to know they are with someone responsible and trustworthy.
