“She was so great. My job is fairly demanding and sometimes I don’t know that I’ll need someone to take my dogs out and she was able to do it on some of my emergency days with only a couple hours notice. I appreciate that.”

“Joseph is amazing! He is super attentive with our high maintenance dogs and is great at communicating with us. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter or dog walker!”

“Jenn was excellent with our fur baby and we were instantly relaxed about her when we met her! Solomon had a great time and we would hire her again any day!”

About: Hi! I'm Kallie, and caring for animals has been one of the greatest joys of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home full of dogs, and for the past 15 years I've been caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. From tiny fish to giant English Mastiffs, I've loved every opportunity to care for someone's beloved companion. No pet is too big, too small, or too unique! If you ask my family, they'll tell you my sister's Golden Retriever is the joy of my life. I FaceTime him almost every day (sometimes multiple times a day!) so he can see his auntie. That's probably the best way to describe how much I love animals, they're truly family to me. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet behind, whether it's for a weekend or a longer trip. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind by caring for your furry family member with the same love, patience, attention, and affection I would give my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless games of fetch, belly rubs on the couch, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your furry best friend! I work from home with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be available when you and your pet need me most. Whether you're looking for a quick walk to help your pup burn off some energy, a drop-in visit, or overnight care while you're away, I'm happy to help. No matter the length of the visit, you can have peace of mind knowing your pet will be cared for with patience, love, and lots of attention. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home until you're back together. I will make sure to care for your pet inside your home with the utmost respect and care and treat your space well. Whatever rules and boundaries you have with your pet will be the same rules and boundaries that I will set when I am in their care.
“Rachel is great! She has been letting my little dog out during the day regularly while I’m away at work. She is always on time and communicates well and takes cute pics :) couldn’t recommend Rachel more!”

“Alyssa did an excellent job looking after my cat! Her communication was great and she sent many pictures and updates. I definitely recommend Alyssa to others looking for sitters”

“Christian is an amazing pet sitter. This was the first time I hired a pet sitter. I was worried as my cat Oreo is an anxious cat and if she would be ok but Christian made sure she was comfortable and well taken care of. She seemed super happy and in good spirits when I returned. He sent the cutest pictures and videos and I felt assured that she was good. I would definitely recommend Christian. He went above my expectations!”

“Peyton is amazing with our cat Oreo. She is a very anxious cat so seeing pictures and videos of her being comfortable always makes my day. This time around my flight on my way back was cancelled and Peyton on such short notice was willing to help even though I didn’t have him booked to see her. That sums up how empathetic he is!”

“Always communicative and even helped bring in big packages we received while we were away! She went above and beyond to make our pups feel loved and us at peace while away.”
“She's amazing! My crazy goober kitten AND my normally shy nervous cat both just loved her - a miracle. She's responsive, stayed the whole visit length with the girls, and is generally just a warm & friendly person. Highly recommend!”

“Meredith has been so great with my dog, Mac! Very timely to their walks, quick to respond, and was flexible when I needed to unexpectedly change my schedule a few times. Definitely recommend”

“Christopher provided great care to my cats while I was away for a while. He made sure to give them extra attention and love! I appreciate the updates on the rover cards, especially the adorable pictures he took. He always arrived on time to feed the cats. They seemed well taken care of when I arrived back home. One of my cats didn't want him to leave and kept wanting attention from him. Thank you for being there for the cats!”

“Melanie was so sweet and took such great care of my kitties! Every day I could tell (through picture updates) that my cats warmed up to her pretty quickly. She even brought in my mail! Would definitely recommend Melanie to watch your fur babies! ❤️❤️”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Charlotte. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
