“Teresa is the absolute BEST! She was wonderful with my two huskies, even with one of them being a bit stubborn and shy. She kept me updated the entire time, so I always knew how my pups were doing while I was away and needed extra help during the day. I came home to two very happy dogs who were clearly well cared for. I would recommend Teresa to anyone looking for top‑notch care for their pets!”

“Sharon did a great job with my very shy, timid cat Sara. Sara greeted me immediately. Usually she sulks and continues to hide. Not this time! Thank you Sharon!”

“Rachel, was able to accommodate a last minute need for dog walking and care. She was not only incredibly professional, but she was very responsive and even shared something she observed about my dog that I had missed. I will absolutely book her in the future. Thank you Rachel.. you were wonderful.”

“I can't say enough good things about Bree! Leaving my cat is always stressful, especially since she needs medication twice a day. But Bree was absolutely amazing. From the moment we met, I felt completely at ease. While I was away, Bree sent me regular updates and photos, which put my mind at ease. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Piper's well-being. More importantly, she administered Piper's medication perfectly, without any issues. I highly recommend bree to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and experienced cat sitter. She went above and beyond, and I will definitely be using her services again in the future!”

“Cristal took great care of our two cats while we were away. She’s consistent and compassionate, and we particularly liked the level of detail she included in the check-in cards. She clearly has a lot of experience with and love for animals!”

About: Hi! I'm Kallie, and caring for animals has been one of the greatest joys of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home full of dogs, and for the past 15 years I've been caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. From tiny fish to giant English Mastiffs, I've loved every opportunity to care for someone's beloved companion. No pet is too big, too small, or too unique! If you ask my family, they'll tell you my sister's Golden Retriever is the joy of my life. I FaceTime him almost every day (sometimes multiple times a day!) so he can see his auntie. That's probably the best way to describe how much I love animals, they're truly family to me. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet behind, whether it's for a weekend or a longer trip. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind by caring for your furry family member with the same love, patience, attention, and affection I would give my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless games of fetch, belly rubs on the couch, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your furry best friend! I work from home with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be available when you and your pet need me most. Whether you're looking for a quick walk to help your pup burn off some energy, a drop-in visit, or overnight care while you're away, I'm happy to help. No matter the length of the visit, you can have peace of mind knowing your pet will be cared for with patience, love, and lots of attention. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home until you're back together. I will make sure to care for your pet inside your home with the utmost respect and care and treat your space well. Whatever rules and boundaries you have with your pet will be the same rules and boundaries that I will set when I am in their care.

“Destiny was great with my two cats! She spent time having long play sessions with my active cat and respected the boundaries of the shy one. Took great pics and kept me very informed! Very responsive!”

“Anna was great- so communicative and took great care of June with drop in visits at our home. It was so helpful to have someone who was proactive with communication, letting me know exactly how each visit went so I didn’t have to ask or worry! We will definitely use her again.”

About: I"ve been a proud cat mother for 8 years. I love dogs but I was never willing to be a permanent dog owner because I understand the responsibility and I take that responsibility and have not been ready yet but I am ready to be your pet sitter. I have never known my one cat to be aggressive around dogs should you be looking for your dog to spend time in my home. In addition to my aspirations to be a pet sitter, I am a freelance recruiter and an aspiring actor. I have walked friends dogs before as well as stopped in for an in-home visit. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I currently have a recruiting business but no client work right now so I am wide open to help you with your pet care needs. I would absolutely make sure that I wrote down all the necessary instructions and followed them to the last word. I am very good with cat behavior.
“Yasmein was so amazing with our two cats! We felt very comfortable and knew our fur babies were well taken care of. Her check-ins and updates were very thorough and the communication overall was great for the whole experience. We are so grateful for her and our cats loved her too!”

“OMG. This seriously could not have been a better experience! Lindsey took the intiative to meet me and my pup before booking (her idea). She was very transparent and sweet and that helped ease my worries of letting a stranger into my home while i was away. She spaced out the time well and spent lots of time with my pup. He probably loves her more than me now! Haha! She also noted through the app, the start and end of her visits and sent cute postcards each time. I am so thankful for her service and her love and attention towards my sweet baby.”

Destiny completely saved the day after my friend who was supposed to watch my cat got unexpectedly sick while I was traveling! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
