“Rachel sent us pictures of every visit, which made being away so much easier! She was flexible when we needed to make schedule adjustments, and has excellent communication! Definitely will have her watch our pups again!!”

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. I currently own a large dog and am responsible for all aspects of his daily care, including feeding, walking, basic training, grooming, and monitoring his health and behavior. I’m comfortable handling strong, high-energy dogs as well as calmer or more sensitive ones. I have experience managing leash pulling, reinforcing basic commands, and creating a calm, safe environment both indoors and outdoors. I always prioritize safety, routine, and positive reinforcement. I pay close attention to each dog’s individual needs, body language, and comfort level, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, patient, and proactive when it comes to communication and care. I'm currently working from home. So I have plenty of time to play with your dog. I'm available for boarding and day care on weekends and weekday. I have yard and a friendly Bernese Mountain Dog to keep your fur baby company. I will keep the floor clean so that the dogs have enough space to play.

“Dominique is an absolute wonder with our kitties. Our cat buddy is the definition of what an "scaredy cat" is but he was not scared or hid at all when he frist met Dominique which we were very surprised but also very happy about. You can definitely tell that she is an animal person. If we ever had to leave our little ones again Dominique will be our go to person to hire again.”

“She watched my 3 cats for about a week and she did absolutely amazing! She was very sweet and followed the feeding instructions to a T! Will definitely be rebooking with her if I ever need a pet sitter again 🩷”

“Delaney did an absolute wonderful job checking in our cat, Max. He can be grumpy, but he enjoyed her company. She was very reliable and communicative. We would love to have her help us out again! I highly recommend her.”

“So sweet and great with my two mini schnauzers. Took them out for a quick bathroom break, gave them treats, and even gave them a couple scratches to comfort them! Definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve always been around animals and have worked professionally in dog and cat daycare and boarding. I love getting to know and taking care of people’s greatest companions! I have experience home sitting and daily drop in care. I also have experience administering medicines. I look forward to getting to know your furry family! Im currently a college student and have a part time job, both of which are very flexible and easy to work around. Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m generally unavailable from 10-11:30 am but am free beyond that! I’m more than willing and able to work around each of our schedules to make something work! I am happy to meet your pet where they are most comfortable in their own home, this tends to help the shyest of pets warm up to me so I can take the best care of them possible. If available, I also love having an initial meeting with you to go over your pets details and meet them while their safe person is still present! However, I’m also comfortable meeting them on my own if that is what works for your schedule. Your fur friends comfort and safety is my biggest priority!

Summer is amazing! She accepted a very very last minute request for my 2 cats and they loved her. My younger boy needs medication and is very shy. Sage took wonderful care of Lina while I was away, visiting twice daily and sending thoughtful photo updates that gave me real peace of mind. It was clear Lina felt comfortable and happy with Sage, which meant so much to me. I look forward to booking with Sage again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring

I can't say enough good things about Bree! Leaving my cat is always stressful, especially since she needs medication twice a day. But Bree was absolutely amazing. From the moment we met, I felt completely at ease. While I was away, Bree sent me regular updates and photos, which put my mind at ease. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Piper's well-being. More importantly, she administered Piper's medication perfectly, without any issues. I highly recommend bree to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and experienced cat sitter. She went above and beyond, and I will definitely be using her services again in the future!

Jordan is our regular sitter. On our most recent trip, a snowstorm came through our home while we were away. We never had to worry about our babies. Jordan was very accommodating and communicated very well. She brings us peace of mind every time we book her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Newell. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
