Jeanette took very good care of Lucy and Ricky on very short notice. She was able to accommodate me and watch my babies the same day I called her.

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. I currently own a large dog and am responsible for all aspects of his daily care, including feeding, walking, basic training, grooming, and monitoring his health and behavior. I’m comfortable handling strong, high-energy dogs as well as calmer or more sensitive ones. I have experience managing leash pulling, reinforcing basic commands, and creating a calm, safe environment both indoors and outdoors. I always prioritize safety, routine, and positive reinforcement. I pay close attention to each dog’s individual needs, body language, and comfort level, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, patient, and proactive when it comes to communication and care. I'm currently working from home. So I have plenty of time to play with your dog. I'm available for boarding on weekends and weekday after 1 pm I have yard and a friendly Bernese Mountain Dog to keep your fur baby company. I will keep the floor clean so that the dogs have enough space to play.

About: I have trained and groomed my dog since he was a puppy, and we all know how dramatic Shibas can be. I approach all animals with love and patience in order to gain their trust, no matter the situation. I am incredibly affectionate so your pet will never feel out of place during their stay with me! I’m currently home at all times with my pet and would love to invite yours into our warm and loving home. I am able to provide meticulous and attentive round the clock care to your pet if they require. I reside in a dog friendly apartment complex with multiple parks for them to release extra energy. My baby, Kylo, will gladly keep them company or leave them alone, depending on their needs. Much like myself, he is very attentive. I also have a porch and a hammock that Kylo and I enjoy during warmer weather. If needed, I can easily crate your pet

Peggy was great with my baby girl! She made sure my pup had lots of plays throughout the day, and sent me pictures and updates. She was able to accommodate our booking request such short notice, which really helped us out. Peggy’s home was welcoming and had lots of space for my pup to run around with her pups. I would recommend Peggy if you’re in need of daycare!

About: Hi! I'd love to care for your dog, cat, or other pet on weekends (visits, sitting, walks, or boarding in my own home). Sitting or boarding on weekdays would work for me as well. (I can take your dog on my runs with me if you would like!) I have had pets stay at my home overnight, and also have stayed overnight at their home, whichever you prefer is fine by me! I have been caring for other families' dogs for about 15 years now, and if you would like, I can provide you with some references. I also grew up with cats and dogs in our home. I work remotely, so I will be home for most of the day, and will be available to play with your pet, take them for walks, potty breaks/etc. throughout the day. I have one medium sized dog crate I can provide if you would prefer to leave yours at home! I also have food and water bowls. We do have our own dog (the dog in my profile photo), who is very friendly and gets along with other dogs, cats, and people. She is extremely sweet and spends most of the day napping. We have the means and space to keep your pet separated from our dog if that is needed or desired.

She sends videos and pictures during every stay and he always looks like he's either cuddling with her or playing with the other dogs. You definitely feel safe knowing that your dog is under her care

About: I was gifted a dog when I was younger that I grew up caring for up until she was older. Caring for her included washing, taking her to the groomers, and ensuring she had the best food and many toys to play with. At the end of the day, she was my dog and my responsibility to care for. I have always hung around pets due to my grandparents having dogs and my aunt & uncles owning cats & dogs. My friend has a cat that I will sometimes cat-sit when she is out of town. I currently am a student and have a mixture of online and in-person classes. So, when I am not at school I am studying, and I'm at home. I currently do not have any other job commitments at the moment. Caring for pets is essential for their well-being. I always ensure that my space brings a piece of comfort, safety, and playfulness. I will ensure they have plenty of potty breaks and walks to ensure no accidents and give them time to get their energy out before the night is over. If medication is needed, it is my essential duty to be on top of giving your pet the correct dose & at the correct time.

About: I’ve owned and experienced so many dogs from a very young age. I have cared for, birthed, rehabilitated and rehoused many of them over the years. I love animals and I understand that they understand as well, which plays a big part in their general care. As this is my full time job, my personal schedule would be curated around the care for your pets, as your pets would be priority. Whenever I am scheduled to visit or be with your pets they'd require the same intention and attention as if they were children because they are.😉 In my own I would make sure each and every pet had their specific needs available and met. I would make sure that my home was prepared for that specific need as well as gauge what might need to adjust and be added based off what they're showing me. In your own home it would be the same in each way it’s supposed to. I would provide attentive and aware care to each pet with discernment.

About: I've always been a pet lover and once I became a nanny I had the opportunity to not only care for the children but the pets as well. I then started pet/house sitting. I have experience in administering medicine. I walk, bath, love and play with the pets I care for. I am a single mother and my daughter is with me all the time. We would love to take care of your fur babies who are good around children. . I'm available for morning walks/feedings. I'm also available all weekend. I work part-time as a nanny in the early afternoon till 6 but I'm free to do check ins. At the moment I am unable to provide care in my home. About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid. It comes natural to me. Because I work from home, your dog won’t be left alone all day. They will get consistent attention and supervision. I currently offer house sitting, doggy daycare, and dog walking, and I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I have a special soft spot for big, goofy pitties, but every pup is welcome. I’m attentive, patient, and tuned in to each dog’s individual needs. whether that’s walks, playtime or cuddle breaks. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, happy, and right at home. Working from home allows for consistent potty breaks, feeding, walks, playtime and supervision. I have flexibility on the weekends as well. I can accommodate longer stays. I provide a calm, secure, and attentive environment whether pets are in my home or yours. I live in a house with a large yard for safe outdoor time, and I’m mindful of slow, respectful introductions since I also have a cat. In clients’ homes, I follow care instructions closely to maintain your pet’s routine, comfort, and safety — treating your space and your pet with the same respect I would my own.

About: I have lived with and cared for pets of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments for all my life. Animal wellbeing is my #1 passion and I have volunteered with multiple animal welfare organizations, where I have provided love, care, and a sense of routine and safety for dogs & cats of all sizes, ages, & temperaments. This experience, coupled with my certification in pet first aid, ensure I can offer top-notch care for your fur babies...and leave tails wagging! I am a full-time dog walker/pet carer & am always happy to add new pets to my client list! Advance notice is appreciated, but I will also honor last-minute requests whenever possible. I am extremely cognizant of the trust clients place in their pet carers and always honor that trust. I follow the instructions you give for your pet's care and will always let you know immediately if there are any issues (pet won't eat, limps, etc.). In short, I care for your fur babies as if they were my own - and believe me, people tell me that if they were ever to be reincarnated, they would want to come back as one of my pets! At home, I have a fenced yard and two rescued, and very friendly, golden retrievers who love to make new friends. While my dogs have the run of the house and sleep in my bedroom, I also can easily crate or restrict your pet to a particular room, if you prefer.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Newell

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Newell on Rover is $38.85 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,757 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Newell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Newell commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,757 sitters in Newell, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
