About: I’ve taken care of lots of different dogs and I’ve owned my own dogs. I currently have a 12 pound cavapoo. She is the sweetest dog and very friendly with other dogs. My backyard is completely fenced in so your pup will be very safe during playtime. I love to take dogs on walks and be active with them and then snuggle on the couch! I’m currently a stay at home mom with my newborn and my husband works from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your pup! I am available for boarding on weekdays and weekends! I have a big, fenced in backyard and one small, loving dog that would have so much fun playing with your pup. I am able to crate your dog if you would like, or my house is safe for free roaming.
About: I’ve had pets my entire life, including dogs, cats, a rabbit, and fish, so caring for animals has always been a normal part of my everyday life. I also have hands-on experience helping care for boarding and daycare dogs in my home, which has given me experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, personalities, routines, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, potty breaks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I’ve learned that every pet is different, so I pay attention to their individual personality and needs and follow the owner’s instructions and normal routine as closely as possible. My goal is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. On a typical weekend, I’m available throughout the day for morning potty breaks and feeding, walks, playtime, plenty of attention, and evening care. I’m able to adjust my schedule based on each pet’s normal routine, including meal times, walks, medications, and bedtime. My family also helps with pet care when needed, so pets have plenty of attention and supervision throughout their stay. Safety and comfort are really important in our home. When caring for pets from multiple families, dogs can be separated as needed so everyone has their own safe space to relax and decompress. Dogs are fed separately in their own crates or designated spaces to prevent food-related conflicts, and crates can also be used for rest or whenever an owner requests it. I try to make each pet’s stay feel as familiar and comfortable as possible, so owners are encouraged to bring their pet’s favorite bed, blanket, stuffed toy, or “lovey” from home. I follow each pet’s normal feeding, potty, medication, and sleeping routine as closely as possible. Pets are supervised during interactions, and I pay attention to their individual personalities and comfort levels rather than expecting every dog to immediately become best friends. My goal is to give each pet plenty of attention while also making sure they have a comfortable, secure place to retreat and relax when they need it.
“Excellent caretaker for our fur baby! Very professional, timely, and caring. Provided multiple updates throughout the day. We will definitely seek her services in the future again!”

“Linett is the absolute best 10/10 service!!!! We cannot thank you enough for caring for our pup Fenway. Your flexibility, consistent communication, and attention to Fen definitely put us at ease. We appreciate you, and Fen absolutely LOVES you lol. We will be booking again”

About: I’ve always had a soft spot for dogs and love getting to know their unique personalities. I’m calm, attentive, and respectful of each dog’s needs—whether that’s playtime, walks, or just relaxing. My goal is to make your dog feel at ease and give you total peace of mind. I work from home except one day per week. This gives me ample opportunity to care for and tend to your pup! If I run errands, they will be in their crate to ensure safety. I have a camera that allows me to check in while I’m out. Working from home allows me to be more available and flexible for communication, playtime, potty breaks or cuddles. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I follow feeding schedules closely, provide fresh water, and make sure pets get the appropriate amount of exercise, playtime, and rest. Communication is very important to me, so I provide regular updates, including photos, so you always know how your pet is doing. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels to make sure pets are feeling well, and I’m mindful of safety at all times (secure doors, leashes, and environment). I also keep spaces clean and organized. Any dog showing signs of fleas will not be able to continue boarding. * Pets must arrive on flea/tick prevention (no exceptions for boarding). * If fleas are found, care will be paused and treatment may be required at owner’s expense.
“Mia took really good care of Gus. It’s been awhile since I left him by himself, so he was really shy. Mia understood this and let him go at his own pace. Her home is lovely with a great front yard set up. I hope Gus opens up more next time. :)”

“My first time having to get a sitter for my 5 month old pup baby. Tawanda and her pup baby made sure he felt like he was home. I can truly say he had a blast, it was more like a play date for him. He is worn out now, he came home and got in the bed and went to sleep, he played so hard. She took very good care of him as if he was hers. We stayed in contact with each other and she sent me a video, so I can see his status. I highly recommend her because if I need her service again I will be contacting to request her. 10/10 Thanks Tawanda!”

“Latrice was available last minute on Christmas eve/Christmas morning of all days. Was literally a lifesaver that she was available last minute on a holiday. My puppy was happy as could be when I picked him up and I could tell he was well taken care of. :) I would absolutely book with her again!”

About: I currently have four dogs of my owned that I have rescued when they were just 2 months old. Even with the busy adult life, I am able to take really good care of my fur babies! Under my care I will treat you dog as if they were my own dogs. The dogs will never even know that you were gone! I am comfortable being around any breed of dogs, and will mare sure I take care of them to the best of my ability! If I could have all the dogs in the world I would adopt all of them, but in the meantime I am more than happy to help take care of dog and puppies! I currently work part time as a swim coach and as a nanny, so my schedule is flexible during the day. I am able to work with your dog’s schedule. When I am at a clients home I ensure that their pet is comfortable and is safe from any harm. It’s important for me that their pets don’t run away or hurt themselves while at home. I am currently working part-time, so I am flexible to fit your dog's schedule and needs! I am free in the morning and evenings, I just have work between 2-6 hours depending on the day. I can talk to you more about my schedule, once you request a booking! When I am at a clients home, I always ask if their dog tends to escape or run away. I have an escape artist myself, so I know this is something I would want my sitter to know. Because of my experience, I always make sure the dog is where they need to be and if any additional doors need to be closed/locked before leaving! While at home, I usually always have the dogs hanging out with me with whatever I am doing.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
