About me! We moved to Charlotte from Austin, TX a few years ago with my husband Chuck and our two senior pups. My husband Chuck works from home and I do dog boarding full-time. We have experience with all kinds of dogs whether that’s special needs, medication, seizures, or anxiety. We used to rescue many animals from Tijuana, MX back when we lived in San Diego, CA, so we’ve gained a lot of experience with fragile, traumatized and scared animals. We are extremely patient and know some pups have a harder time when their parents leave, so we always make sure to give them a cozy space for them to relax and plenty of love. My fur babies are very spoiled they love sleeping with us and your pets are welcomed too. I also used to be a baker and make simple, organic treats using only a few ingredients. I understand pet restrictions so don’t worry, I’ll only give them to your pets if allowed. Your pets can sleep in a crate, a dog bed or with us in our bed!. Our family will love and care for your pet as if it was our own. Thank you! Note: We have many regulars and watch multiple dogs at a time. All of my repeats are very familiarized with each other and boarded together at some point. If your dog isn't okay with being boarded with other dogs this might not be a good fit or environment for them. Drop off/ Pick ups This is the best and easiest way that works for us for dropping off your pup! Drop off/ pickups will be along the back of our driveway where it leads to our backyard. If this is your first time and you want to take a look or stay for a little bit, please let me know in advance. This makes the transition better for us that way the other dogs don’t get worked up and so your dog gets a little time to adjust and acclimated to their new environment. I always introduce my dogs and the other dogs I’m watching outside in the backyard one by one. That way your dog isn’t overwhelmed. *Please let me know when your on the way and 10 mins away, this way I can get the dogs inside while I meet you in the driveway and open the gate for you. Please don’t knock on the front door! It sets the dogs off and it becomes a huge bark fest and overwhelms them. Your dog must be vaccinated & be on a flea/ tick prevention for the safety of my dogs and other dogs that will be under my care. Please provide proof of vaccines & flea/ tick prevention. If your dog doesn’t have a prevention for fleas/ticks or I find them on your dog I will apply Advantage to your dog and charge $20 for small/medium dogs and $30 for large breeds. Please be honest since your dog will be around other dogs and on all our furniture, dog beds and our bed if that’s where they want to sleep. This will avoid washing, cleaning and isolating your dog until the advantage kicks in. Please make sure to bring your own dog food. Markings & Accidents I am very understanding when it comes to accidents and marking their territory but if your dog continues to mark their territory or have multiple accidents throughout the day I will put a male wrap or a female diaper on your pet until it gets acclimated to their environment. I do leave the back door open that leads to the backyard, so they have the freedom to do their business when they want. We are very dedicated and passionate to making sure your pet gets the best care possible.
