I work from home so, I am flexible with my time. Also, I have experience with senior and rescue dogs. I can administer oral med’s, if need be. I work from home, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup’s. I am available for Doggie Daycare after 8:30 am. Also, I am available for boarding on weekends and weekdays after 8:30 am. Brody and I live in a safe and wonderful community with great walking trails and a fenced in dog run. Lots of places to explore and play.
“Ashley was great with our little dog and she made a new friend with Prissy her sweetheart. Regular updates which was much appreciated as we have never left our little girl. Very professional and friendly. Yes I would highly recommend Ashley and wouldn't hesitate to use her again if I am in the area. Thank you again.”

“Michele was amazing with my sweet girl. Edith can be a big handful but she was treated wonderfully. Michele was also very accommodating to my specific logistical needs and made sure that my friends picking Edith up were the right people. I would definitely use Michele again!”

About: I have such a love and passion for all animals! I have experience with pets of all ages, shapes, and sizes and can administer medication. I am retired so I have plenty of time to care for your furbabies! It’s wonderful not having any sort of set schedule now because it allows me to be available on weekdays and weekends. I live in an apartment with my dog and two cats so any pet coming to visit would need to be ok not being the only baby. I do have a large crate if needed.
“Bri and her husband were great! They were waiting for us when we arrived and made Nyla feel so comfortable, slowly introducing her to the other dogs. I got the cutest photos and regular updates. We will definitely be back!”

About: Since birth grew up with a family dog, German Shepherds, a Lab, and at 10 years old I was given responsibility for my own dog a Maltese, Le Petite Pookay( Pookie for short). When I went off to college my Mom stole(inside joke) adopted her and I haven’t had my own dog since but over the course of the past 20 years Ive watched plenty of friends and family dogs and pets. Some claim me to be the Dog Whisperer as even shy pups seem to gravitate towards me. This last year, while transitioning to the Charlotte. NC area I stayed with a Rover host and helped out. And now that Im in my own place, a two story townhouse, I’d love to continue to host and care for your fur babies. I really miss having a furry family member around but truly excited for the opportunity to take care of your animal loved one. I do know about providing excellent customer service, the importance of integrity and working hard with the importance of humility. Service is the heart of who I am and know the special bond our family furries hold in our lives. I can't wait and hope to care for your furry loved one soon! I work from home, so my availability to host is flexible and open. I also, don’t leave the house too often for long periods and will be attentive to caring for your pet. My first floor level is open for your fur baby to free roam, but can also crate if preferred. I have a few areas with tile for easy cleaning. In addition, I have a backyard with some enclosure but have a tie down to attach to collar or harness for first and last pet relief but my subdivision has a dog walk trail for walks and extended exercise.

“My pup had the best time with Nancy, Coffee & family. The fenced in yard was great for her to run around off leash & I felt very comfortable leaving Winnie in Nancy’s care. Winnie played fetch & even received a special treat. Nancy’s family is very friendly & Winnie is excited about her next visit!! Well.. after her long nap! Haha.”

“Stacey was wonderful and Baby Hutch had such a good time with her and all the other pups at Daycare!! I will definitely be taking him back!! Thank you Stacey for helping me with a 7 week old puppy on such short notice!! You made me feel at ease and I knew he was in good hands!!”

“Debra’s communication and understanding of an unexpected event on our end was great. Her want to make sure our dog would be comfortable during her stay even though our trip got canceled and we were unable to use her services. Our hope is to be able to use her services again the next we are in the area”

About: Caring for children has been my career for over 15 years. Working in education, I know that trust isn't given, its earned through consistency, communication and genuine care. While my professional background is with children, the same qualities I bring to families everyday are exactly what I'll bring to your dog: patience, attention to detail and a calm caring presence. My goal is simple: for you to come home to a happy dog and have complete peace of mind knowing they were treated like one of my own. My schedule offers flexibility, which allows me to fit pet care into my week while giving each dog the attention they deserve. Some days I’m available earlier than others, and weekends are generally more open. I believe pets thrive on consistency, so I’ll always be upfront about my availability and make sure I can fully commit before accepting a booking. When your dog is in my care, they’ll have my full attention, plenty of affection, and dependable care every step of the way. I know that trusting someone with your dog is a big decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Whether your dog is staying in my home or joining me for a walk, their safety, comfort, and happiness will always come first. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, keep routines as consistent as possible, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is in caring, dependable hands. My goal is to create a calm, welcoming environment where your dog feels loved, secure, and right at home. No other pets in the home. Non-smoking home. Plenty of space for walks and play. Only one family’s dog(s) at a time

I’m currently retired and I’m in great shape. I’m available anytime and I’m available for weekends! In addition we have a pond across the street that has a walkway to walk around in order to exercise and explore for your pet.
About: I’ve had at least two dogs in my household ever since I could remember. Whenever my parents would leave to go out of town I would be the one to take care of them. Also, I got a Doberman Pinscher as a Sophomore in college and I have had him for about a year and a half. I am a Student-Athlete, looking for part time work while home. It fits in well with my routine, I really don’t do much while home besides work out and take care of my puppy. I have about a fenced in backyard with plenty of room for dogs to come and run around to get all of their energy out. Also, I just have a ton of time on my hands. My days are generally really open.
About: My husband, Michael, and I have one dog of our own (a 13 year old blind flat haired retriever/border collie mix) and she means the world to us! We have fostered dogs and also worked closely with dog rescue organizations, helping with adoption events and finding loving homes for rescue dogs. We enjoy getting to know and play with new pups! Our favorite thing to do with dogs is to play fetch in the yard and to take them on walks. We will treat them like they are four-legged members of our family! Let us know how we can assist you in caring for your furry, four-legged family member! We both work from home and have a lot of flexibility with our schedules. We can structure our schedules around your needs. Let us know what you need and we will be happy to help! We love to take dogs on walks and play fetch with them in the backyard! Drew has been so great with my rescue! He’s usually really afraid of new people and Drew offered to do 2 meet & greets to make sure everyone felt comfortable. Drew & Dani have been super flexible, they keep me updated often, and are really patient with him. I highly recommend and will definitely continue booking with them!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
