My pup had the best time with Nancy, Coffee & family. The fenced in yard was great for her to run around off leash & I felt very comfortable leaving Winnie in Nancy’s care. Winnie played fetch & even received a special treat. Nancy’s family is very friendly & Winnie is excited about her next visit!! Well.. after her long nap! Haha.

Madison, Remington and Sweet Maggie made our Nyla feel right at home! She was hesitant at first but they were so patient with her. Their home is so warm and welcoming with a perfect little backyard that Nyla could in and out of at leisure. We loved getting all of the sweet photos and videos as well. Nyla was happy and appropriately exhausted when we picked her up. They will be regulars for us for sure!

Carol is the best. I requested in the last minute to watch my dog. I forgot vaccines record, yet she agreed to look after my Bentley. She is very kind and helpful. Though for few hours, she keeps updating me about Bentley. My dog settled with her very well and he was very happy after coming from her home. Thank you so much, Carol. I will highly recommend her if anyone looking for day care for you fur babies. I will definitely rebook with her in the future.

Erin was great - we dropped 2 standard poodles off for the afternoon/evening while we went to spend Thanksgiving with family. The dogs came home happy and tired! Erin sent several photos of the dogs playing in the yard and that was appreciated. 5 stars good choice if you need a safe fun place for your dog(s) to hang out. Thanks Erin for tiring out two very active dogs.

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and now that I’m retired and spending time with my grandkids I would like some extra animals in my life! I’m currently providing some help to my daughter transporting kids to and from school and just loving my grandkid time! I’m mostly free and have a very flexible schedule! I have a fenced yard and a park nearby - I do have two sweet Pomeranians of my own who mainly stick to themselves - they aren’t usually interested in a lot of interaction with other dogs. However my daughter, who I’m with often also has two sheepadoodles who would love to play if that is desired!

Jasmine took wonderful care of our dog during several daytime visits. She is highly knowledgeable about dogs, especially those with separation anxiety, and she knows exactly how to handle sensitive situations with calm confidence. Her communication is clear, consistent, and straightforward. She was also extremely accommodating, making sure we felt comfortable and reassured every step of the way. It was clear that our dog was in capable, caring hands. I highly recommend her for both pet sitting and training.

About: I’ve watched and handled dogs for over a decade, and have the experience and strength to control large or energetic pets. I keep extensive notes on medical needs, diet, commands, and personality quirks for all the pets I watch so I can be sure they get the best care possible. I work part time, but my schedule is fairly flexible. I have a car and can travel to your home to watch and walk your pet, or take you pet to my home (as long as your dog is ok with other dogs). I live in a a fairly calm neighborhood with lots of sidewalks and grassy to take your pets to, and can walk your pet multiple times per day. I will also send you pictures of your pet with every visit or throughout the day so you're kept in the loop of how your pet is doing.

I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures with dogs. I will love on your pup with everything I have. I am incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. As an educator for the last 10 years, I have a very set schedule that gives predictability to my days. Now that summer is upon us, I have open flexibility to meet any needs you (and your pup) may need! Safety and trust are two of the most important factors when considering someone to care for your pet. I will love your pup as I would my own and treat your space with respect.

About: Hi, I’m Sarah! Nice to meet you (and your fur babies)! A little background info on me: I've grown up with animals of all kinds, from dogs and cats to horses, rabbits, and peacocks and have loved to care for them. Although my background is with a variety of animals, dogs are my specialty! 🐾💜 I treat each and every pet like they’re my own and make sure they’re well taken care for, whether that means walking, play-time, feeding, enrichment, etc. I'm a current pet owner of two sweet dogs and one purr-fect cat. I’ve volunteered for years at rescues and shelters and have experience needed for any specific breed. I've fostered puppies and senior dogs until I myself became a foster fail (we adopted our foster)! I work a remote schedule so I can be flexible with days/hours if I have enough notice to care for your babies! I do not commit to specific time, but rather a time range. Short notice is possible, but I prefer at least a few days notice in advance :) I offer an approach that matches your pet’s energy. If your pet is playful, we will play. If your pet is shy & nervous, my approach will be more reserved and mindful of their boundaries.

About: I’ve worked at a service dog nonprofit for the past decade and I’ve been a pet owner my whole life! Currently, we have a 4-year old Australian Cattle Dog mix and a 2-year old tabby cat. I know how stressful it can be leaving your fur babies when going on vacation/work but I’m happy to help! I will care for your pets with the same love and attention that I give my own. I have also completed training by the Fear Free Shelter Program. Conveniently, I work remotely (full time) so I am always at home to keep an eye on and care for your fur baby. On weekends, I leave the home briefly to run errands. I have a small fenced yard. Our two pets can provide company to your visiting fur baby. I am also available for daily walks. Ideally, your visiting pet will be crated at night while sleeping and if I ever have to leave the home briefly.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mount Mourne commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,645 sitters in Mount Mourne, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
