We are so glad we found Zaria to watch our two dogs. She stayed at the house and not only took great care of the dogs but also our home. The dogs loved her. We can’t recommend Zaria enough.

About: I am a lifelong animal lover who has experience with dogs of every stripe! From the gentle giant St. Bernard to the spunky rescue Chihuahua, I've had experience caring for (and loving) dogs of every size, age, & breed. After growing up surrounded by cats & dogs, I adopted my own senior rescue pup, Missy Elliot, about 10 years ago. Missy crossed the rainbow bridge back in April but she created a soft spot in my heart for Senior dogs and I would love nothing more than to spend some time taking your senior on leisurely walks with plenty of time to sniff. At the same time, I would also love taking a younger pup to the park & working with them on how to sit! I am currently between positions and so, starting mid-July, my calendar is wide open. I have a few scattered trips in late August, but otherwise I am free. As the mom of a pup myself, I am very attuned to the specific needs of each dog or cat. I do my best to integrate myself into the pet's best schedule and I stay in consistent communication with you to check in. Plus, I try to send at least two pictures/updates a day so you can be sure your fur baby is in good hands!

Lauren did a phenomenal job with our fur babies. From the time she replied to our request she took the time to listen and understand our challenges. Then she came over and took the time to familiarize herself with both of our babies ensuring there wouldn’t be any issues. Great job and great person.

About: •IF YOU WANT CHEAPER RATES OR A DISCOUNT PLS ASK! I’m open!• I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since 2017, providing pet sitting, dog walking, overnight care, boarding, and drop-in visits for family, friends, neighbors, and clients. Throughout the years, I’ve cared for pets of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who require extra patience, attention, and specialized care. I have experience maintaining feeding schedules, administering basic medications, providing exercise and enrichment, cleaning litter boxes, monitoring behavior and health, and ensuring pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I take the time to learn their routines and preferences so they receive personalized care. What sets me apart is my reliability, communication, and genuine love for animals. I provide regular updates and photos to keep owners informed and give them peace of mind. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were my own, creating a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both pets and their families. 🐾❤️ I currently work a flexible part-time schedule, typically only 4 hours per day (either 9 AM–1 PM or 1 PM–5 PM), which allows me to dedicate the majority of my time to pet care. I am available on weekends and am often off several days throughout the week as well. Because of my flexible schedule, I can provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, drop-in visits, overnight care, and plenty of one-on-one attention. Pet care is a major priority for me, and I make every effort to accommodate each pet’s routine and needs. Whether your pet needs daytime companionship, overnight care, or regular check-ins throughout the day, I have the flexibility and availability to provide dependable, attentive care. I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. For dogs, this includes regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, feeding according to their schedule, fresh water at all times, and plenty of affection and companionship. For cats, I ensure feeding schedules are maintained, litter boxes are kept clean, and they receive the attention, playtime, or quiet companionship they prefer. I am comfortable administering basic medications as directed by owners and carefully monitoring pets for any changes in behavior, appetite, or overall well-being. I also help maintain a clean environment by cleaning up accidents, washing food and water bowls, scooping litter boxes, and keeping pet areas tidy. If caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the utmost respect. I can bring in mail or packages, water plants, follow household routines, and help keep your home secure while you’re away. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have such a love for them. I know that dogs are more than just pets-they are part of the family! My family has had basset hounds for my whole life, so I have seen and loved them at every stage of life. I’ve done my share of dog care for them, including walking, feeding, giving medicine, ear-care, and brushing fur (my dog’s personal favorite)! I have also taken care of friends’ dogs, ranging all sizes and ages, when they have been out of town as well! I’m currently a teacher on summer break so I have a pretty open schedule! I can be very flexible with what times I am needed and if you need me to be very specific at the times I take care of your pets I will absolutely do that-I know lots of doggos need or get used to certain times for care! If you let me know what areas for walking are at your home, I am happy to follow whatever route you normally go on or would like for them to-same if you have a neighborhood dog park! I’m very active so I’m happy to walk/run with them as far as they need! If you need assistance with my giving them food and/or medicine, just let me know where it is and how much to give and I am happy to do that!

About: My favorite childhood memories are that with my German Shepherds Carson and Lady and my Chihuahua Nukiums. When in college I dog walked and pet sat my boss' French bulldog Beatrice and her lovely cat Ms. Kitty. Though Ms. Kitty only used me for a quick rub and for me to fill her bowls, Beatrice and I went on plenty of errands together. Currently I have a Silky Terrier named Rocky, a cat named Nipsey (who hides from visitors:), a rabbit named Daisy and two pet loving children who would love to have playdates with your furry family member. My kids and I have lots of energy. We are used to walking Rocky and letting him play in the backyard several times a day from 6am-9pm. If you would like a friendly dog walker, or someone to check on your cats I would love to help! I even enjoy watering plants and taking care of exotic pets if needed. I am a teacher so I am off during the summer and would otherwise add your pet care and checkins into my daily routine. I also have two kids ages 8 and 14 who love animals and will sometimes ask to come along and help out. I usually walk my dog once a day and let him enjoy the backyard for 5-15 minutes (depending on the weather) three times a day. However, I prefer to cater to your schedule which is why I usually request to have a meet and greet.

About: I grew up in a house where there were always more paws than feet. From the time I was born through my years in high school, I was the designated caregiver for our family pets and the "go-to" sitter for neighbors and friends. Having owned and cared for both dogs and cats my entire life, I understand that pets aren't just animals—they’re family members with their own unique personalities and routines. What Sets Me Apart I am a Senior Software Engineer currently working remotely, which means I offer a level of reliability and structure that is hard to find. I’m a regular at the gym and love staying active, so if you have a high-energy dog that needs a long walk or a vigorous play session, I’m your guy. My Care Style Reliable Communication: I’m tech-savvy and organized; you’ll get regular updates, photos, and quick responses. Multi-Pet Expertise: I’m comfortable managing households with multiple animals (including cats!). Active & Attentive: Whether it’s a focused walk or just some quality couch time for a senior pet, I adapt to what your pet needs most. I’m currently between projects and have plenty of availability to provide your pets with the attention they deserve. I look forward to meeting your furry friends! If you want to see more of how I take care of my own personal dogs, they have their own Instagram called Pinero_Pups, take a look! I am a tech professional currently in a career transition, which means I have an incredibly flexible schedule and am home for the majority of the day. Unlike a standard 9-to-5 sitter, I am available to provide constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and mid-day play sessions. Whether it's a weekday or a weekend, your pet will be my primary focus, and I can easily adapt to their specific feeding and exercise routines. Having cared for dogs and cats my entire life, safety is my top priority. My home environment is pet-friendly and well-organized, and I am experienced in managing multi-pet households (including both dogs and cats). I am a firm believer in clear communication; you’ll receive consistent photo updates and check-ins so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. In my care, your pet will have: A Secure Environment: I am diligent about door safety and leash security during walks. Active Supervision: I’m a regular at the gym and love staying active, so I have the energy to keep up with high-energy breeds. Personalized Attention: I respect each pet's boundaries—whether they need a vigorous game of fetch or a quiet corner to nap in.

Bridget was the absolute best we could have asked for to help take care of our two dogs with our first experience using Rover. She was so prompt to respond and set up a meet and greet. Jennifer stayed a couple of nights with my lab mix, Milo, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Milo can be a bit particular, especially with new people but Jennifer won him over almost immediately. It was clear she took the time to understand his personality and needs, and she picked up on how to use his e-collar quickly and confidently. I also really appreciated how respectful she was of my home—everything was left exactly as she found it. On top of that, Jennifer was excellent with communication. Since I’m new to having someone stay overnight to care for my pet, her updates and responsiveness gave me a lot of peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable, and attentive pet sitter.

A care provider cancelled two days before our trip and Staci agreed to provide last minute care for our 14 year old pup for a few days. Staci dropped in several times a day, sent updates on activity and feeding which included great photos, and we even got compliments from the neighbors as to how present she was while we were away on our trip. We could tell our pup was in great hands from day one which was very much appreciated. Staci was just incredible, and we are thankful.

Nicole is a great sitter! She was respectful of my space and took good care of my dogs. She seemed a little overwhelmed by Parker’s puppy energy but she rallied and made it work. When a family member cancelled on me last minute, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Found and booked Matthew last minute before an 8 day trip and he was nothing short of amazing. As this was my first time leaving my girl Aya with anyone other than family/friends, Matthew graciously agreed to meet us prior to his stay and gave me the confidence she’d be in great hands. Matthew was very responsive, provided updates as requested, and took excellent care of Aya. Additionally, Matthew cleaned up my place and even washed the sheets for my return. 11/10 would recommend & will most certainly be using him moving forward!

FAQs for House Sitting - Mount Mourne

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Mount Mourne on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 2,908 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mount Mourne. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mount Mourne walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mount Mourne maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mount Mourne choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mount Mourne. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
