About: 💖 Affordable, Loving Pet Care You Can Trust 💖 ✨ Affordable & Flexible Pricing! ✨ I believe every pet deserves amazing care, no matter the budget. My prices are adjustable, and I’m always happy to work with you whenever possible. If you’re looking for a lower rate or have a specific budget in mind, please don’t hesitate to text or email me! My contact information is listed in my photos, and I’d be happy to discuss pricing and availability with you. Hi! My name is Lindsay, and I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since 2017. Animals have always been one of the biggest parts of my life, and nothing makes me happier than making sure they’re safe, loved, and comfortable while their families are away. While I welcome pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, I especially specialize in caring for energetic puppies, senior dogs, kittens, and cats that require medications or extra attention. 🐶 Energetic puppies receive plenty of walks, playtime, potty breaks, enrichment, exercise, and one-on-one attention to help keep them happy and on their routine. 🐕 Senior dogs receive patient, gentle care with slower walks, extra comfort, medication reminders if needed, and lots of love and companionship. 🐱 I also love caring for kittens and cats of all ages, including shy cats, senior cats, and cats that require oral medications or specialized care. I understand that every cat has a different personality, and I’m happy to provide anything from active playtime to quiet companionship. Over the years, I’ve provided pet sitting, overnight stays, dog walking, boarding, house sitting, and drop-in visits for family, friends, neighbors, and clients. I’ve cared for pets ranging from tiny kittens and playful puppies to senior pets needing specialized care, anxious pets, rescue animals, and multi-pet households. I’m comfortable with: 🐾 Energetic puppies and young dogs 🐾 Senior dogs needing extra patience and gentle care 🐾 Kittens and cats of all ages 🐾 Oral medication administration for cats and dogs 🐾 Overnight pet and house sitting 🐾 Dog walking and exercise 🐾 Drop-in visits 🐾 Boarding (when available) 🐾 Feeding schedules and fresh water 🐾 Caring for multiple pets in one household Every pet is different, so I always take time to learn their routine, personality, favorite activities, feeding schedule, and any special instructions. My goal is to keep life as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away. One thing my clients appreciate is that I send frequent photo and video updates, so you’ll always know how your pets are doing. I know how hard it can be to leave them behind, and I want you to have complete peace of mind knowing they’re receiving the same love, attention, and care I’d give my own pets. 🏡 24/7 Availability & 24-Hour Care I’m available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, making it easy to accommodate early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and last-minute bookings whenever possible. I also provide 24-hour care for pets that need constant companionship or supervision. This is especially helpful for: * Puppies who need frequent potty breaks and lots of playtime * Senior dogs who benefit from extra monitoring and comfort * Cats requiring medication or specialized routines * Pets with separation anxiety * Any pet that simply does better with someone nearby throughout the day and night I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s unique needs. Dogs receive regular walks, exercise, potty breaks, playtime, fresh water, feeding according to schedule, and lots of affection. Cats receive clean litter boxes, fresh food and water, medication if needed, playtime, enrichment, or quiet companionship—whatever makes them feel most comfortable. If I’m caring for your pets in your home, I’ll treat your home with the same respect I’d treat my own. I’m happy to bring in mail or packages, water plants, follow household routines, and help keep everything secure while you’re away. Above all, I pride myself on being dependable, trustworthy, patient, and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. My goal is to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners so you always have someone you can rely on. 📩 Questions? Need Different Availability or Pricing? If you don’t see the availability you need on my Rover calendar, or if you’re hoping for a lower rate, please text or email me! My contact information is listed in my photos. I often have additional availability beyond what’s shown on Rover, and I’m always happy to discuss flexible scheduling and pricing whenever possible. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! 🩷 Pet care is more than just a job to me—it’s something I’m genuinely passionate about and dedicate my time to every day. I’m available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing me to be flexible around each pet’s individual routine and needs. Whether your pet needs daytime companionship, overnight care, frequent potty breaks, walks, medication, or regular check-ins throughout the day, I’m committed to providing dependable, attentive care. I truly love spending time with animals, and I make it my priority to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and as stress-free as possible while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family and strive to keep their daily routine as normal and consistent as possible, giving owners complete peace of mind knowing their pets are receiving around-the-clock love, attention, and personalized care. I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. For dogs, this includes regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, feeding according to their schedule, fresh water at all times, and plenty of affection and companionship. For cats, I ensure feeding schedules are maintained, litter boxes are kept clean, and they receive the attention, playtime, or quiet companionship they prefer. I am comfortable administering basic medications as directed by owners and carefully monitoring pets for any changes in behavior, appetite, or overall well-being. I also help maintain a clean environment by cleaning up accidents, washing food and water bowls, scooping litter boxes, and keeping pet areas tidy. If caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the utmost respect. I can bring in mail or packages, water plants, follow household routines, and help keep your home secure while you’re away. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.
“Maura is fantastic to work with! Our flights home were delayed significantly and she was happy to change her visit times to accommodate our needs! Happy to have found her!”

“Edelyn was an amazing house and dog sitter! She was so sweet and took great care of our shy pup. She kept everything in great shape and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We’d happily have her back anytime!”

“Treats our boys like her own. Great at giving medicine and taking care of elderly pup along with active 9yo. Follows special feeding instructions and aware of allergies. So happy to have found her! Thank you”

“Alex took care of my dogs amazingly!! He was very attentive and followed instructions to the tee. I loved how he sent me daily updates, photos, and brought any concerns that he had with the pups to my attention. I highly recommend him and will definately use him in the future. He cared for my pups as if they were his own and that made me very happy! He truly loved on and played with my pups when I wasn't there to do so myself. Thank you Alex!!!!”

“We really enjoyed having you watch the boys! We appreciated how communicative you were the entire time, and we loved receiving the pictures and updates as well.”

“Outstanding! Kept me informed with text and pictures. Also, as requested, took Stella to the dog park when weather permitted. Just as I was leaving for the airport, I remembered Stella was due for her heart worm/flea/tic tablets. To my embarrassment I found I had none. Brendan took charge, pick up the tablets, gave one to Stella and made sure she ate it all. You can be confident your pets will be well taken care of by Brendan.”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover who has experience with dogs of every stripe! From the gentle giant St. Bernard to the spunky rescue Chihuahua, I've had experience caring for (and loving) dogs of every size, age, & breed. After growing up surrounded by cats & dogs, I adopted my own senior rescue pup, Missy Elliot, about 10 years ago. Missy crossed the rainbow bridge back in April but she created a soft spot in my heart for Senior dogs and I would love nothing more than to spend some time taking your senior on leisurely walks with plenty of time to sniff. At the same time, I would also love taking a younger pup to the park & working with them on how to sit! I am currently between positions and so, starting mid-July, my calendar is wide open. I have a few scattered trips in late August, but otherwise I am free. As the mom of a pup myself, I am very attuned to the specific needs of each dog or cat. I do my best to integrate myself into the pet's best schedule and I stay in consistent communication with you to check in. Plus, I try to send at least two pictures/updates a day so you can be sure your fur baby is in good hands!

“Amanda did a great job. Followed directions and asked good question at the initial meet. Regular updates and pups looked happy and relaxed when I returned. I’ll definitely have her back.”

“Alex is absolutely wonderful! My fur babies loved her and she took such wonderful care of my home. She was communicative and even went above and beyond to water my plants. I have nothing but wonderful things to say and definitely plan to use her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Lisa did an outstanding job taking care of my 3 dogs in my home while I travelled, and she also went above and beyond to keep my home near and clean (very hard with 3 dogs). Highly recommend Lisa!!”

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mary — she’s truly an angel! We left our two pups in her care for a week while on vacation, which was especially nerve-wracking since our Lab was recently diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy. Mary was amazing from start to finish. She administered both dogs’ daily medications flawlessly, and when our Lab unfortunately experienced one of her seizures, she handled it absolutely perfectly. She gave our pups so much love and kept us updated throughout the week, which gave us so much peace of mind. On top of that, she left the house so clean — even washing her sheets before she left! I was so anxious to leave, but Mary made it so easy. I’d recommend her to anyone, she is truly the best.”

“Nancy is amazing. My two pups adore Nancy. Nancy stayed with my pups for 5 days and everything and everyone was wonderful when we arrived back home. Nancy sent apictures every day along with a synopsis of their day.”

“Heather is such a nice person. She is very thorough and communicative as I requested. This was the first babysitting visit with my dog and hopefully won’t be our last.”

“Sage was wonderful with our pets. We booked her to house sit and stay with our two dogs and two cats. She was very responsive while we were away and kept us up to date on our pets and how they were doing. We definitely recommend her and will use her again.”

“Caitlin always takes such great care of our babies! She is great at giving updates and I always have such peace of mind leaving my girls with her. She is also a great house guest and leaves our house spotless every time. Our fur babies are always so calm and happy when we return and we can tell that they have been well cared for and loved on. I definitely highly recommend her if you are looking for a sitter! 😊”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Davidson
Crystal was phenomenal!! It was our first time leaving our youngest pup for a trip but she exceeded all expectations. They’re so sweet but just a little crazy, and she handled all of it very well. She sent pictures throughout our time away and was lovely to meet in person as well. This was our first time using rover and essentially having a stranger stay in our home, so I was initially nervous, but I would absolutely hire her again.

Bridget was the absolute best we could have asked for to help take care of our two dogs with our first experience using Rover. She was so prompt to respond and set up a meet and greet. We left for our trip feeling very comfortable and confident the dogs were in good hands. She sent us loads of photos and updates each day and our dogs sure had a blast! I would HIGHLY recommend her for anyone in the Huntersville-Cornelius-Mooresville area.

Nicole did an amazing job watching our pups while we were away for a week. She kept us updated with lots of photos and videos of our babies, which gave us so much peace of mind. She even managed to train our ravenous eater to sit and wait patiently for his food! We highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pups with extra special care. We will absolutely use her again whenever we can’t take our fur babies with us.

Sam Assemgul was excellent! She performed all expected tasks as requested in a professional manner. Sam treated my dog with good care and love. She also sent me daily text updates and photos/movies which made the 13 day separation doable without worry. Thus, without reservation, I highly recommend Sam as an inhouse, long term dog sitter.
A care provider cancelled two days before our trip and Staci agreed to provide last minute care for our 14 year old pup for a few days. Staci dropped in several times a day, sent updates on activity and feeding which included great photos, and we even got compliments from the neighbors as to how present she was while we were away on our trip. We could tell our pup was in great hands from day one which was very much appreciated. Staci was just incredible, and we are thankful.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Davidson on Rover is $31.08 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,997 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Davidson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Davidson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Davidson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Davidson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Davidson. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
