About: What sets me apart is that pet care is not just something I do, it is something I have lived my whole life. I grew up with three dogs, Jake, Luke, and Molly, so I understand the responsibility and emotional commitment that comes with caring for pets. Losing Jake and Luke gave me firsthand experience with senior care, health challenges, and being patient and attentive during more sensitive stages of a dog’s life. I am comfortable caring for both energetic puppies and older dogs who need a gentler approach. With puppies, I am used to frequent walks, playtime, structure, and consistency. With senior dogs, I focus on comfort, monitoring behavior changes, and keeping them calm and safe. Because of my personal experience, I treat every pet like they are my own. I am attentive, reliable, and understanding of how important pets are to their families. Pet care has always been part of my routine because I have grown up with dogs. I had three dogs, and two of them passed away in August, which was very difficult. Now we have one senior dog, Molly, and a new puppy, Teddy, so my responsibilities vary. Molly needs consistency, comfort, and attention to health, while Teddy requires more hands-on care like walks, training, playtime, and frequent bathroom breaks. On a weekly basis, I also help with cleaning, feeding schedules, and making sure they have everything they need. Growing up with dogs has taught me responsibility, patience, and the importance of being consistent and caring. In my home, pet care is part of my daily routine. I make sure dogs are fed on schedule, have fresh water, and get the right amount of exercise based on their age and energy level. With a senior dog, I focus on comfort, gentle activity, and monitoring any health changes. With a puppy, I prioritize training, structured walks, playtime, and consistent bathroom breaks. I also handle cleaning, basic grooming, and giving them attention and companionship. In a client’s home, I would follow their specific instructions closely to maintain the pet’s normal routine. This includes feeding schedules, walk times, administering medication if needed, cleaning up after the pet, and providing updates to the owner. My goal is to keep the pet comfortable, safe, and cared for while respecting the client’s home and preferences.

About: I grew up with two golden retrievers and have taken care of other dogs throughout my life. I have learned the importance of following instructions and all of the ways to pay special attention to pets. I graduated with a BA in Communications and Media Production from UNC Chapel Hill. I work from home so I can work any time any where. I enjoy helping dogs be more comfortable and giving them what they need. I care for the pet according to how the client requires me to. “Heather watched my condo and senior pup, Rusty, overnight for 4 days. Rusty is 13, has a heart murmur, is blind in one eye and has very limited sight out of the other eye. A few days before our planned trip my Rusty’s heart murmur increased to a grade 5 and he went on heart medication twice per day. Heather watched over him and kept a very detailed care diary for me since it was his first week on the medication. She was very communicative and sent lots of photos throughout their time together. Heather really put me at ease and gave me peace of mind leaving Rusty for a few days after some medical changes. Rusty really seemed at ease with her. I cannot sing her praises enough.
