“I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Aaliyah took such wonderful care of my two dogs and two cats while I was away. She was incredibly thorough, communicated consistently, and always kept me updated with plenty of photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. One of my favorite things was how much time she genuinely spent with my pets. She even dressed them up for adorable pictures, which absolutely made my day! It was clear they were getting lots of love and attention, not just the basics. I came home to happy, well-cared-for pets, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who truly goes above and beyond!”

“Sandra is amazing! We needed a pet sitter (last minute) for our 2 cats and 1 Jack Russell and Sandra was there to the rescue! We were on a family trip for a week and Sandra sent us pictures and videos of our fur babies! Sandra is very good at what she does and being new to the Charlotte area, we now have a pet sitter we can rely on and trust! I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Thanks Sandra!”

“Gracie was wonderful! She sent me pictures every time she checked on my animals and I loved seeing them. I could tell they liked her and were comfortable around her. I’ll definitely message Gracie if I ever need a sitter again!”

“Sarah was honestly the best. She was extremely patient with my kitty girls. By the end of the week, they all became friends (and that’s saying something)! 🤗 Sarah left the house and all of the cat stuff in perfect condition! I highly recommend! I will rebook her❤️❤️”

“Kim was amazing!! We used her in a pinch and our animals took to her very quickly. I would highly recommend her. Quick communication, pictures every time she checked in and very respectful of the home.”

“Tiffany was fabulous. She took such good care of my pups. She showed up on time and the photos and videos that she sent made me relaxed knowing they were being well cared for and loved. I will definitely use her again when her schedule allows.”

“Casey did great, went out of town to visit family and was worried about my dogs being taken care of. He was prompt with great communication. I definitely recommend and will use again.”

“LaJuan was really great and took wonderful care of our cats this last week! We have some very specific needs for one of our cats, and she was attentive to all our weird requests.”

“Audrey was wonderful sitter for our dog, Knox. We are so so grateful for how well she took care of him, especially at such late notice. She gave thorough and frequent updates and lots of pictures. I feel at ease planning future trips knowing Audrey is someone we could turn to to watch our pup. Thanks for everything!”

About: I’ve always had two or more animals in my home, so caring for pets has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember! I’ve had our oldest dog since 2019, and my youngest dog since 2022, when we brought him home at just 10 weeks old. We also welcomed our cat in 2024 when he was 22 weeks old! We are pretty obsessed with them as you can probably tell 🐶🤎 I’ve pet sat for multiple families, friends, and relatives, and have even been recommended to extended family members. My pet-sitting experience has included feedings, walks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure pets feel happy and comfortable while their people are away. I know how hard it is to leave your animals behind for, not only you but for them, so my goal is to make sure everyone feels comfortable, cared for, and happy! I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I got to care for and spend time with animals who were waiting for their forever homes. It gave me the opportunity to work with animals outside of my own home and learn how different each pet can be. I’ve also raised a puppy myself and have worked with many different breeds, ages, and personalities. I’m happy to follow each pet’s individual routine and give them the patience, attention, and care they’re used to. They are our babies so we treat them as such!! The perks of being a stay at home wife is that I get to spend all day with my precious animals! What that means for you is that my availability is pretty open! Just shoot me a message and we should be able to make it work! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m coming to theirs! I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone, and I want you to have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. For pets staying with me, I keep a calm, comfortable, and pet-friendly environment where they can relax, play, and get plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m currently home most of the time, so your pup won’t be spending their stay alone for long periods of time. I only host one guest dog at a time so I can give them plenty of individual attention. For walks and drop-in visits, I’m respectful of your home and your pet’s routine. I’ll follow your instructions, keep a close eye on your pet, and make sure they’re safe and comfortable throughout our time together. I’m also big on communication and will keep you updated with photos and little updates while you’re away. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m stopping by to care for them, my goal is the same: for them to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. 🐾🤎

About: I have always had a love for animals. I have taken care of pets ever since I was about 8 years old. Since then, I have had a pet bunny, a bearded dragon, two parakeets, and, for the past few years, a super loving dog (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel) that looks like a cute bear cub. I am super attentive and have a strong passion for all living creatures - especially animals. You can rest assured that your dog will receive the full royal treatment they deserve. I spend more than enough time ensuring that your furry friend has a full stomach and optimal hydration (especially in this blazing sun), cozy cuddles, wonderful walk adventures, potty time, and time to unleash the zoomies, of course! WARNING: Your pet will be pampered, spoiled, and immensely loved! I have a very flexible schedule as I am currently working part-time. Therefore, I can spend a significant amount of time dedicated to your four-legged pal! I have a fenced backyard to keep your pet secure. Your pet is safe in my care and in my home. Under my care, all attention remains on your fur baby. Your dog is in great hands!
“Taren is the best. She has been walking my babies off and on for a year now. She is always so thorough with her notes, and my boys love her. Thank you for all you do, Taren!”

“I would recommend Pam to anyone! She treated my babies like her own. She was so kind and communicative with us while we were away. She was on time and professional. Overall, if Pam needed anything from us we’d do it. Forever a customer. Awesome!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mooresville
Kim was great with my pups. She arrived at the correct times and spent time playing and loving on my senior dogs. This is the first time I have used Rover, and it was a great experience. Kim also came by for a meet and greet. I knew right away that she would be responsible with my home and my dogs. Highly recommend.

Aaliyah is truly the very best! My pets absolutely adore her, and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing that when I’m out of town, my babies are getting so much love, attention, and care. She is incredibly attentive to detail, and I always feel completely confident leaving them in her hands. We’re so lucky to have her!

Sara is the best pet sitter you could ask for! She followed every single detail of my care instructions perfectly and was punctual for every single visit. She went above and beyond by sending the cutest photos & video updates that completely brightened my day. To make her work even MORE impressive: half my trip went silent because my phone suffered unexpected water damage, leaving me completely out of touch. Even in that stressful situation without a phone, I had peace of mind knowing my cat was completely safe and well-cared for in her hands. I’m a cat parent, so finding someone who truly knows how to care for cats can be tough in a world full of dog sitters, but Sara genuinely understands cat behavior and how to care for them!

Tessa was did an awesome job caring for my less than perfectly behaved cat. She was very communicative and understanding and can tell she’s well experienced with cats and animals in general. She sent adorable pictures of him everyday and kept me well updated. Thank you Tessa!
Deanna is amazing, we love her! The animals genuinely get excited for her. She’s the most reliable, caring and consistent sitter we’ve ever had. I am truly grateful that she’s around and does such a great job, she gives me peace of mind when I’m away from my fur-babies (and feather babies!!)

Grace is amazing! One of my pups takes a LOT of time to warm up and Grace took her time with him and became a trusted friend in just minutes! She spent quality time with both of my dogs and sent photos of them having fun on their walk and in the house. Grace is very professional, has a great personality and is a natural with dogs. I could not be more pleased.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
