Renee has been a great walker for us while we’re at work. She’s gentle and loving with our pup, makes sure she’s well hydrated and has treats on her walk! She’s very reliable which is important to us, keeps great detail w/ pictures of how they’re doing, and treats our home with respect. Renee makes us feel better about being away because I know our dog is well taken care of.

My dog’s daycare shut down for a week, and being active duty I didn’t know what to do. I’d never used Rover before, but contacted Gracie because of her high reviews and soon saw why she was so highly rated. Gracie is trustworthy, responds quickly to communications, and is reliable. She was great with my dog and I will absolutely use her again. I’d reccommend her to anyone!

I cannot recommend Aaliyah enough! She is truly the best dog walker and pet sitter I could ask for. I never have any concerns when she's watching my pets because I know they are in amazing hands. What really sets Aaliyah apart is how much she genuinely cares about the animals she works with. She always takes extra time to spend with them, and my dog Blue is absolutely obsessed with her. She does so much more than just walk him. She helps trim his nails, brushes him, works on fun activities and training, and even does adorable little photo shoots with costumes she brings herself. Whether she's teaching Blue agility skills or just making him feel loved with a silly dress-up session, she always goes above and beyond. It's such a relief knowing that Blue isn't just getting exercise—he's getting enrichment, attention, and lots of love. Aaliyah treats him like one of her own, and that peace of mind is priceless. If you're looking for someone who will care for your pets like family, I wholeheartedly recommend her! And on top of everything she always makes sure to give love to my two cats even though she usually just there for Blue :)

About: My favorite childhood memories are that with my German Shepherds Carson and Lady and my Chihuahua Nukiums. When in college I dog walked and pet sat my boss' French bulldog Beatrice and her lovely cat Ms. Kitty. Though Ms. Kitty only used me for a quick rub and for me to fill her bowls, Beatrice and I went on plenty of errands together. Currently I have a Silky Terrier named Rocky, a cat named Nipsey (who hides from visitors:), a rabbit named Daisy and two pet loving children who would love to have playdates with your furry family member. My kids and I have lots of energy. We are used to walking Rocky and letting him play in the backyard several times a day from 6am-9pm. If you would like a friendly dog walker, or someone to check on your cats I would love to help! I even enjoy watering plants and taking care of exotic pets if needed. I am a teacher so I am off during the summer and would otherwise add your pet care and checkins into my daily routine. I also have two kids ages 8 and 14 who love animals and will sometimes ask to come along and help out. I usually walk my dog once a day and let him enjoy the backyard for 5-15 minutes (depending on the weather) three times a day. However, I prefer to cater to your schedule which is why I usually request to have a meet and greet.

About: Hello, I'm Haley, your friendly neighborhood dog walker! With over 5 years of hands-on experience working in a kennel and years working in rescue, I've gained valuable insights into canine care and behavior. Currently, I'm proud to be a part of a veterinary office, where I continue to expand my knowledge of pet health. My passion for dogs and my background in animal care have equipped me with the skills and understanding to provide top-notch service to you and your furry companions. I'm dedicated to ensuring your dogs get the love, exercise, and attention they deserve. Let's embark on a pawsome journey together! I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be available 7 days a week for pet care. I’m able to accommodate a variety of routines, drop-ins, and last-minute needs, and I’m generally always open unless I’m out of town. I'll prioritize the safety and well-being of your furry friends in the following ways: 1. Customized Care: Each dog is unique, and I'll tailor my care to their specific needs. Whether it's a leisurely stroll, an energetic playtime, or a more relaxed outing, I'll adapt to what suits your dog best. 2. Leash Control: I'm vigilant about maintaining control over the leash during walks to ensure your dog's safety. This includes using appropriate harnesses or collars and avoiding potential hazards. 3. Environment Awareness: I'll be attentive to the surroundings, avoiding busy roads, crowded areas, or other potential dangers during our walks. Safety is my top priority. 4. Proper Restraint: If necessary, I'll securely restrain your dog when interacting with other dogs to prevent any unexpected incidents. 5. Weather Considerations: I'll take weather conditions into account, making sure your dog is comfortable and safe from extreme heat, cold, or inclement weather. 6. About: I have always had a love of dogs! My first dog was a beagle and my current dog is a lab. I am missing my dog as she is in Ohio with my parents, which is why I would love the opportunity to spend more time with dogs! I used to walk dogs in college and I think it is a great hobby to get a walk in with a furry friend. I currently work full time on the weekends and every other Monday, but I am available Tuesdays-Thursdays early morning until 6pm. I would love the opportunity to knock out an outdoor exercise and spending time with a cute dog! I will always prioritize your pet’s safety and happiness! I always make sure to keep my lab entertained and can tell when she needs water or food just by looking at her!

About: Dog's are my loves. Theyre treated like princes (and princesses) when in my care. I've had dogs ever since I was born and I wouldn't have it any other way. I previously owned a black lab, 7 years old, named Bear. We Iost him on 12/29/17 in a hit and run while I was out of town. He was a medium sized lab and the sweetest in the world. As I’m obviously heartbroken by the loss of a piece of my family missing, I find refugee in loving animals, as I know Bear would love more friends to play with if he were still home. I am an advocate of dogs being family, so they can be up on the couch, on the bed. I don't like to feed the dogs people food because it creates beggars, but I do like to spoil them. My fur baby has enough toys to keep a village occupied. I’m a dog loving woman, and it will never be questioned. I currently stay at home, so I have unlimited availability to be able to give your furry friend the attention that they need, and accommodate your needs as well. I have a fenced in yard, and one pup to keep your's company. I'm also able to keep the dogs separated and crate yours if that's what makes them most comfortable.

About: I grew up in a house where there were always more paws than feet. From the time I was born through my years in high school, I was the designated caregiver for our family pets and the "go-to" sitter for neighbors and friends. Having owned and cared for both dogs and cats my entire life, I understand that pets aren't just animals—they’re family members with their own unique personalities and routines. What Sets Me Apart I am a Senior Software Engineer currently working remotely, which means I offer a level of reliability and structure that is hard to find. I’m a regular at the gym and love staying active, so if you have a high-energy dog that needs a long walk or a vigorous play session, I’m your guy. My Care Style Reliable Communication: I’m tech-savvy and organized; you’ll get regular updates, photos, and quick responses. Multi-Pet Expertise: I’m comfortable managing households with multiple animals (including cats!). Active & Attentive: Whether it’s a focused walk or just some quality couch time for a senior pet, I adapt to what your pet needs most. I’m currently between projects and have plenty of availability to provide your pets with the attention they deserve. I look forward to meeting your furry friends! If you want to see more of how I take care of my own personal dogs, they have their own Instagram called Pinero_Pups, take a look! I am a tech professional currently in a career transition, which means I have an incredibly flexible schedule and am home for the majority of the day. Unlike a standard 9-to-5 sitter, I am available to provide constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and mid-day play sessions. Whether it's a weekday or a weekend, your pet will be my primary focus, and I can easily adapt to their specific feeding and exercise routines. Having cared for dogs and cats my entire life, safety is my top priority. My home environment is pet-friendly and well-organized, and I am experienced in managing multi-pet households (including both dogs and cats). I am a firm believer in clear communication; you’ll receive consistent photo updates and check-ins so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. In my care, your pet will have: A Secure Environment: I am diligent about door safety and leash security during walks. Active Supervision: I’m a regular at the gym and love staying active, so I have the energy to keep up with high-energy breeds. Personalized Attention: I respect each pet's boundaries—whether they need a vigorous game of fetch or a quiet corner to nap in.

As a renter at The Osprey @ Lake Norman, Mooresville, I was so relieved to find Tessa on Rover. While recovering from a broken ankle, she handled my dog's daily walks (morning and night) with total professionalism. My dog is reactive and slow to trust, but her calm energy made my dog feel at ease immediately. For anyone living at The Osprey or in the Mooresville area needing a reliable dog walker, she is fantastic!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
