About: Pet care is my full time job, so I have open availability! I am also a proud owner of a fully trained German Shepard. I’m open to doing dog walking/playtime, day sitting and overnights! I’m a full time student graduating in criminal justice with bachelor degree this coming summer 2027 who is responsible and dependable. All prices are negotiable depending on the needs. I’ve been a pet lover and caretaker since I was 10 years old. I’m 22 yrs old now and a proud owner of a 5 yr old German Shepherd who is fully trained. I believe all animals deserve one on one attention, care, & Love. I care for pets by making sure their basic needs are met first. Along with assuring each pet is happy and are enjoying their time with me. So much that I want them to be excited with just hearing my name. Whether in my home or at a clients home I follow any specific care instructions, maintain a clean space and provide consistent attentions, love and care to help pets feel safe and happy in my presence.

I cannot recommend Aaliyah enough! She is truly the best dog walker and pet sitter I could ask for. I never have any concerns when she's watching my pets because I know they are in amazing hands. What really sets Aaliyah apart is how much she genuinely cares about the animals she works with. She always takes extra time to spend with them, and my dog Blue is absolutely obsessed with her. She does so much more than just walk him. She helps trim his nails, brushes him, works on fun activities and training, and even does adorable little photo shoots with costumes she brings herself. Whether she's teaching Blue agility skills or just making him feel loved with a silly dress-up session, she always goes above and beyond. It's such a relief knowing that Blue isn't just getting exercise—he's getting enrichment, attention, and lots of love. Aaliyah treats him like one of her own, and that peace of mind is priceless. If you're looking for someone who will care for your pets like family, I wholeheartedly recommend her! And on top of everything she always makes sure to give love to my two cats even though she usually just there for Blue :)

About: I have always had a love of dogs! My first dog was a beagle and my current dog is a lab. I am missing my dog as she is in Ohio with my parents, which is why I would love the opportunity to spend more time with dogs! I used to walk dogs in college and I think it is a great hobby to get a walk in with a furry friend. I currently work full time on the weekends and every other Monday, but I am available Tuesdays-Thursdays early morning until 6pm. I would love the opportunity to knock out an outdoor exercise and spending time with a cute dog! I will always prioritize your pet’s safety and happiness! I always make sure to keep my lab entertained and can tell when she needs water or food just by looking at her!

About: I grew up in a house where there were always more paws than feet. From the time I was born through my years in high school, I was the designated caregiver for our family pets and the "go-to" sitter for neighbors and friends. Having owned and cared for both dogs and cats my entire life, I understand that pets aren't just animals—they’re family members with their own unique personalities and routines. What Sets Me Apart I am a Senior Software Engineer currently working remotely, which means I offer a level of reliability and structure that is hard to find. I’m a regular at the gym and love staying active, so if you have a high-energy dog that needs a long walk or a vigorous play session, I’m your guy. My Care Style Reliable Communication: I’m tech-savvy and organized; you’ll get regular updates, photos, and quick responses. Multi-Pet Expertise: I’m comfortable managing households with multiple animals (including cats!). Active & Attentive: Whether it’s a focused walk or just some quality couch time for a senior pet, I adapt to what your pet needs most. I’m currently between projects and have plenty of availability to provide your pets with the attention they deserve. I look forward to meeting your furry friends! If you want to see more of how I take care of my own personal dogs, they have their own Instagram called Pinero_Pups, take a look! I am a tech professional currently in a career transition, which means I have an incredibly flexible schedule and am home for the majority of the day. Unlike a standard 9-to-5 sitter, I am available to provide constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and mid-day play sessions. Whether it's a weekday or a weekend, your pet will be my primary focus, and I can easily adapt to their specific feeding and exercise routines. Having cared for dogs and cats my entire life, safety is my top priority. My home environment is pet-friendly and well-organized, and I am experienced in managing multi-pet households (including both dogs and cats). I am a firm believer in clear communication; you’ll receive consistent photo updates and check-ins so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. In my care, your pet will have: A Secure Environment: I am diligent about door safety and leash security during walks. Active Supervision: I’m a regular at the gym and love staying active, so I have the energy to keep up with high-energy breeds. Personalized Attention: I respect each pet's boundaries—whether they need a vigorous game of fetch or a quiet corner to nap in.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have such a love for them. I know that dogs are more than just pets-they are part of the family! My family has had basset hounds for my whole life, so I have seen and loved them at every stage of life. I’ve done my share of dog care for them, including walking, feeding, giving medicine, ear-care, and brushing fur (my dog’s personal favorite)! I have also taken care of friends’ dogs, ranging all sizes and ages, when they have been out of town as well! I’m currently a teacher on summer break so I have a pretty open schedule! I can be very flexible with what times I am needed and if you need me to be very specific at the times I take care of your pets I will absolutely do that-I know lots of doggos need or get used to certain times for care! If you let me know what areas for walking are at your home, I am happy to follow whatever route you normally go on or would like for them to-same if you have a neighborhood dog park! I’m very active so I’m happy to walk/run with them as far as they need! If you need assistance with my giving them food and/or medicine, just let me know where it is and how much to give and I am happy to do that!

Kate was amazing with our pups. It was a last minute booking for a dog walk so I could clean the living room without them running around. They don’t like being on a leash very much as we are still in the training process. She was very sweet to take both and was ok that they were still in training to be leash led. After a long walk with my pups they came back and didn’t want to see her go. Will definitely recommend as this was by far one of the best times away from us that the pups have had.

About: All single-visit rates are introductory trial rates. I require at least one visit before booking extended stays or ongoing care to ensure we are a good fit for each other. Boarding: I understand many people would like boarding, but please really consider who you are leaving your pet with especially if you never met the person. Most pets feel MOST COMFORTABLE and experience LESS STRESS in their own home. I’m happy to COME TO YOU so your pet can stay in a familiar, relaxed environment where they are HAPPIEST. I am trained in Pet CPR and First Aid, and pet sitting is my full-time focus. This allows me to give your pets the time, attention, and care they deserve. I welcome all animals, regardless of breed or type. **Pricing:** Rates vary based on pet size, distance, and time required per visit. Pricing starts at the listed rate and may increase depending on your specific needs. Feel free to reach out for a personalized quote. As a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter in the Lake Norman area, pet care is woven into every part of my day. Staying home to focus on pet sitting full time means I’m always available to give your pet the attention they deserve. With Pet CPR and First Aid training, you can trust that your pet is in safe hands. What really sets me apart? I focus solely on your pet, one client at a time, to prevent accidents and reduce anxiety. And for your peace of mind, I take lots of pictures during each visit, so you’re always in the loop and can see just how well your pet is doing. When I care for your pets, whether in my home or yours, I make sure they feel loved and well taken care of. In my home, I create a cozy, safe space where your pet can feel right at home. If I’m in your home, I stick to their routine to keep everything familiar and stress-free. I take pictures during each visit, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing. Beyond pet care, I’m happy to bring in your mail and packages, and if you have contractors or any unexpected issues, I’m always here to help with whatever you need. I treat your home with respect, ensuring it stays clean and organized while I’m there. I’m dedicated to providing your pet with the same level of care they receive from you, so they always feel loved and secure, no matter where they are.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
