“AMAZING! I was nervous about leaving my two dogs with someone for the first time but Leslie put me at ease immediately. She sent me daily updates per my request for the eight days we were gone and made friends quickly with my timid Chihuahua. Communication was timely and clear. I booked Leslie about a month in advance and she kept her appointment. I highly recommend Leslie as a pet sitter.”

“Jackson had a great time with Brenton, who has a wonderful pet friendly home with a great back yard. He was communicative during my travel with updates and photo’s and I plan to use Brenton again!”

“Jettson had a blast with Jeremy and his family. Would def choose them to dog sit for us again! They kept us updated the entire time we were away and treated our fur baby like their own.”

“My dogs have separation anxiety and they get really uncomfortable and sad when I’m gone. Rachel is the only person they will willingly go to overnight - Seriously! Including my friends and parents. My dogs are actually excited to see her and love going to her house. I am so grateful Rachel will keep them because I know they’re getting cuddles and love while I’m on vacation. She also has extensive experience, canine first aid/CPR certifications, dog training skills, and a giant backyard so it helps my stress level too. Thank you!! :)”

“Mike was great with Legend! This was our first time using Rover services, and Legends first time being with anyone other than family. I was unsure, and worried, but upon meeting Mike was cool & very knowledgeable, took great care of my baby. He sent updates with pictures, daily. He also kept him on the schedule, doing same routine as I, which is very much appreciated. I’ll definitely rebook with Mike, when needed in future!”

“Sindhu and her family loved our boys like their own. She sent lots of pictures and a video, and our pups were clearly having a great time! We will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Megan was a great sitter and helped us out last minute. Dakota definitely enjoyed his time with her and we’re grateful for her ability to sit with him would definitely book with her again. She kept us updated every day and was very flexible with us as well.”

“Caitlin is soooo amazing! She sent updates, videos, and asked questions. She gave my dog additional dog food because I didn’t pack enough. I will definitely reach out in the future because my dog loved her and she loves my dog 😊”

“Mrs. Brooke and her family are just phenomenal!!! The care and love they given our fur babies while we were away was just incredible. Mrs. Brooke kept us posted and sent updated pictures Highly recommend!!!! Thank you again Mrs. Brooke for your time and effort for caring for our dogs we def recommend and will use her services again!!!”

“Ashley was totally awesome! This was a last-minute booking as we left WNC after Hurricane Helene, and couldn't accommodate Casper where we were staying. She was totally calm and in charge, which Casper needs since his tendency to shepherd and try to be in charge is so strong. He needs to know he's not in control. Ashley took great care of him physically and psychologically. I'll definitely seek her services again if we're in the area!”

“Jessica and her family were wonderful with my dogs! She was excellent with communication, sent me photos while I was away and kept me in the loop with how they were doing. While my two are not the easiest all the time, she helped adapt her home to suit the environment for one of my dogs and gave them tons of snuggles.thanks Jessica!”
About: Experienced with energetic and strong willed dogs. Experienced with structured care, consistent routines, and happy dogs :) Will love your pup like they’re my own Caring for pets is already a big part of my everyday life. My routine revolves around making sure my dog is walked, fed, and given plenty of attention throughout the day. Feel free to message me about availability! I typically am available whenever you need!! I have a very friendly and energetic Husky in my home who loves staying active. We go on walks around the neighborhood about every 2 hours for potty breaks, as well as mental and physical stimulation. We also occasionally enjoy car rides to the dog park for extra fun and exercise. Since my yard is unfenced, I have a secure outdoor lead available. If your dog enjoys spending time outside like mine, I’d be happy to accommodate that upon request. For safety and comfort, I also have a crate available and can crate your dog or mine as needed.
“Brittany has been great with my pups. I felt super comf with them staying with her and her family. It helps a lot that she has her pup with her, who's super extroverted and helped get my younger dog out of his shell. I strongly recommend her! I'm just bummed that she's moving away from me 😞”

“Lauren took the BEST care of my dog, Maverick! He’s very high energy and needs a lot of attention and he LOVED his stay, playing with her dogs & had so much fun swimming! My dog had never stayed with anyone but family, but he will certainly return to Lauren’s for day care & overnights! She was also very responsive and provided so many pictures and updates, which helped me have peace of mind leaving him for the first time. It’s so nice to have someone who treats your dog like their own while you’re gone which Lauren definitely did!”

“Bethany genuinely cared for our dog and his special quirks. She’s understanding, helpful and very reassuring throughout the initial meeting process and during the dog sitting process. We will definitely leave our dog with her again!”

“Dennise was great with my senior pup. Very patient and accommodating. Pretty Boy was very comfortable with her. We will definitely be back for another stay!”

About: I have spent my whole life around dogs. My dad was a dog trainer in Alaska so I was able to learn a lot from him over the years. Since then my family has had our own dog which sadly passed away a year ago after 12 sweet years together. We have dog sat for friends and family over the years as our home makes a great space for dog sitting, but have not professionally dog sat before until now. We work from home so your pup will rarely be on their own. We also have a fenced back yard so they can play outside safely! We have three daughters that love to play with dogs so they will keep them perfectly entertained. We enjoy family walks in our neighborhood that your pup would join us on! We currently have no other pets after our sweet dog passed away a year ago. We miss having a dog in our home but aren’t ready for a new permanent pup so Rover seemed like a wonderful idea for our family. Your dog will be treated as our own with our girls being able to play with your pup in our fenced back yard.

I can’t express my gratitude enough for the amazing care our dogs received! From the very beginning, communication was excellent, with quick responses, flexibility, and genuine kindness. It gave us complete peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such caring and capable hands. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pups, and we couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and compassionate pet sitter. We will definitely book again!
Thank you for taking good care of my Kinsey it was a pleasure I felt good having you to take care of her I felt she was safe and that is what was important to me to have her in a loving and caring home while I was entertaining my grandchildren who were a little afraid of her thank you again

Alicia took wonderful care of my dog, Link, during his boarding stay of a little over four days. She is gentle, attentive, and clearly very in tune with the dogs she boards. I really appreciated that she only takes a small number of dogs at a time so they each get plenty of attention. She sent updates at least twice a day with great photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Link and her dog Zara seemed to become fast friends, and I loved seeing the pictures of them hanging out together. Alicia also made sure to play fetch with him (his favorite!) and kept me updated on his eating, medication, and sleep. The best sign of all—when I picked him up, he didn’t even seem eager to leave, which told me he truly felt comfortable and happy there. I would absolutely recommend Alicia to anyone looking for a caring, reliable boarding sitter. I’m very grateful for the excellent care she gave Link.

We've used several sitters through Rover, and our dog typically struggles to adjust the first few days when staying somewhere new. This was the first time he felt comfortable right away - he warmed up to Leslie immediately, which says so much about her care and approach. It was clear he was well taken care of, and we really appreciated the daily updates and photos. Our dog genuinely seemed happy and relaxed during his stay. We also had a last minute schedule change and needed to extend his stay, and Leslie was incredibly accommodating and understanding. We're so grateful to have found someone our dog connects with so well and would absolutely book with her again.

Isabella was able to accommodate my pup on less than 48 hours notice. She was very responsive and worked with me to make sure I knew my pup was in the best hands. During the stay I received pictures and updates. She also was flexible on the pick up time although I didn’t need it. My dog almost didn’t want to leave when it was time for pick up so I would say he enjoyed it a lot!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
