“Michael was very easy to schedule with. I am so happy he was available for a last minute trip. I particularly wanted him to watch my pup as he works from home (as I do) which allowed Libbie to feel love and attention at all times. Yes, we all like to spoil our pups!! I have already scheduled my next trip with him as I know she will be well taken care of, exercise is awesome with her own playmate. When I picked her up she was happy and well cared for.”

“Jacob did an awesome job taking care of Bella while I was away. His experience with service dogs is definitely a plus! Bella felt right at home with him as well as his 3 dogs. She will definitely be coming back again real soon!”

“Megan was great. Our mini schnauzer has a high level of separation anxiety. It was important that she not be left for hours everyday. Megan was excellent about sending updates. It was obvious our mini was well cared for. Will definitely use again.”

About: What sets me apart is simple—I’d rather be with dogs. Their happiness, comfort, and care genuinely mean the world to me, and I treat every dog like family. With over 15 years experience, I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, including senior dogs who may need a little extra patience, attention, and care. I also have experience administering oral medications and understand the importance of following each pet parent's instructions closely. I strive to go above and beyond for every dog in my care. Welcome to a home where your dog will be treated like family! I work from home, which means your pup will receive plenty of love, attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. With a large, fully fenced backyard and a genuine love for dogs, I strive to make every pup feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. My home is a single-story, ranch-style home with no stairs, providing a comfortable and easily accessible environment for all ages. I currently only offer my services to small to medium-sized dogs to maintain a low-stress, comfortable environment. Because I have a dog at home, l am unable to host pets that are aggressive, or have history of aggression. I also encourage a quick meet-and-greet before boarding so your pup can get familiar with me, Peanut, and our home before their stay begins.
“Lola absolutely loved Brittany! She was incredibly sweet and kind, and the way she talks to dogs is so gentle—just like she’s caring for her own children. She took such wonderful care of my fur baby that Lola didn’t even want to come home! I’ll definitely be booking with her again in the future 🤍”

“Bryanna was amazing with our dog! She was very communicative throughout the entire process, beginning with a meet & greet all the way through the week stay. She asked a lot of questions during the meet & greet to make sure she knew our dog’s needs well, and that was very reassuring. We received daily updates and photos, and our dog looked so happy in them. We definitely plan to use Bryanna again!”

“Ashley, did take really good care of our Mari for the entire time we have been out of the country! She updated me whit messages and pictures frequently and I felt really good that she was always available. 100% recommend Ashley for top notch dog sitting!”

“Dennise was absolutely the BEST! She made my fur baby feel right at home while I was out of the country for a week. She even kept her for a few days of doggy daycare before my trip, which helped them bond and gave me so much peace of mind. She sent frequent updates and lots of pictures, which really eased my anxiety about being away for so long. I honestly think my dog thinks this is her second home! I highly recommend Dennise, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Libby really enjoyed her stay with Caitlin! We booked an overnight stay as a “trial” for a longer trip later this year since we don’t board very often. Caitlin really put me at ease. I’m looking forward to having peace of mind on my trip and will definitely book again!”

“Absolutely without a doubt the best dog sitter ever! Michelle sent regular updates and pictures of Hershy. She is a loving person that openly loved our Hershy.”

“Brooke and her family were great! They took such great care of Kingsley! They made him part of the family and he enjoyed every minute. I would definitely leave Kingsley with her anytime.”
“My fur baby was right at home. Aquisha was awesome and made me feel very comfortable with leaving Zeus with her. i didn’t worry about him one bit and she sent me pictures daily.”

About: I know how hard it is to leave your dog with someone else because they're family. That's why I care for every dog the way I'd want someone to care for mine. I keep a calm, loving home where they can relax, play, get plenty of cuddles, and stick to their usual routine. I take time to get to know each dog's personality and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I'll also keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages, so you always know your pup is happy and in good hands. I work during the week, so I currently welcome dogs starting Friday at 5:30 pm and throughout the weekend. This gives me plenty of time to focus on their care, playtime, walks, and making them feel at home. I also have a friendly dog (Goldendoodle) who loves to play and socialize, so I'm excited to welcome dogs who would enjoy having a companion during their stay. I've always loved being around dogs and animals because they truly make my heart happy. Spending time with them brings me so much joy, and I'm excited to open my home to more furry friends. My goal is to provide a safe, happy space where every furry friend feels like they have a second home filled with love. I provide a safe, calm, and loving home with a fully fenced yard for supervised play and outdoor time. My friendly 6 year old Goldendoodle loves to play and helps visiting dogs feel right at home. I'll follow your dog's routine and keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages.
“Camilla was fantastic to board with! I was very nervous about leaving my dogs because they can be a lot to handle. But I could tell they were safe and loved for while we were gone. She sent me pictures every day. We will definitely book with her in the future!”

“Shonda sent pics throughout the booking and took our dog on several walks which we really needed. She communicated throughout the entire trip and was super flexible. Our dog loves walks and playing. Can't wait to book with her in the future”

“Our pets mean everything to us, and when we leave town, we want to find them the best possible care. This can be a challenging and anxious task. Norma was a perfect person to dog sit and made this task of leaving my dog away from me an extremely easy process. Norma had every trait you would expect from an excellent dog sitter. She was empathetic, professional, flexible, experienced, and had an instant connection with my dog due to her skills and knowledge. She constantly kept me updated with how my dog was doing and sent pictures of him regularly. At any point when I reached out to her, she promptly responded with an update and answers. I could sense that when she picked my dog and when I picked my dog from her at the end of visit, that he was happy and had a blast at her place. She left us with an excellent note and healthy treats. She also gave excellent feedback as to how to better manage my dog daily. If you have any concerns or doubts, about leaving your pet with stranger...I would highly recommend Norma and will myself seek her services if needed in the future. Thank you so much Norma, what you do is not an easy job and to do it as well as you did...Ladoo and I cant thank you enough.”

“We've used several sitters through Rover, and our dog typically struggles to adjust the first few days when staying somewhere new. This was the first time he felt comfortable right away - he warmed up to Leslie immediately, which says so much about her care and approach. It was clear he was well taken care of, and we really appreciated the daily updates and photos. Our dog genuinely seemed happy and relaxed during his stay. We also had a last minute schedule change and needed to extend his stay, and Leslie was incredibly accommodating and understanding. We're so grateful to have found someone our dog connects with so well and would absolutely book with her again.”

Kim is very nice & easy to work with. She has a nice home with a huge fenced yard. Her pups are very sweet & friendly but introducing 2 at a time can be a little overwhelming to a new pup. Kim allowed Gracie to sleep with her & be on furniture just like home. She was very responsive & sent pictures & updates daily. I was very comfortable with her watching Gracie & would be glad to use her again. Thank u Kim!

Thaissa was wonderful with our two pups! They were so happy (and tired) when I picked them up. Thaissa is very organized and has a beautiful home with a fenced in backyard. She sent daily updates with photos, which gave us peace of mind that they were happy and well loved while we were gone!

Alicia took wonderful care of my dog, Link, during his boarding stay of a little over four days. She is gentle, attentive, and clearly very in tune with the dogs she boards. I really appreciated that she only takes a small number of dogs at a time so they each get plenty of attention. She sent updates at least twice a day with great photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Link and her dog Zara seemed to become fast friends, and I loved seeing the pictures of them hanging out together. Alicia also made sure to play fetch with him (his favorite!) and kept me updated on his eating, medication, and sleep. The best sign of all—when I picked him up, he didn’t even seem eager to leave, which told me he truly felt comfortable and happy there. I would absolutely recommend Alicia to anyone looking for a caring, reliable boarding sitter. I’m very grateful for the excellent care she gave Link.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
