“Lipika did a wonderful job watching Maple. Maple appeared comfortable at all times around her, and I would trust her anytime with my dogs! She sent frequent updates, accompanied by photos and videos, and she made sure to take note of her poops and behavior in case there were any potential health concerns. Maple also enjoyed playing with Lipika’s daughter, which I’m sure Maple loved. If you’re looking for a communicative and thoughtful sitter, Lipika should be your go-to!”

“Kim was wonderful with our dog Harry. This was Harry’s first time being boarded in a long time and Kim was extremely patient with him and took the time to ensure that he was always comfortable. I would book her again in an instant.”

“This by far has been the best Rover experience my dog Gucci is super anxious around people and SINDHU made him feel so welcome. I’m so blessed to I found her and her family. I will definitely use again. My flight was delayed. they even dropped Gucci off. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much for your kindness.”

About: I got my first dog at 15 and have never gone without pets since. I have service dogs and I’m comfortable with working breeds and the training that is associated. I also have a cat, several reptiles, and some misfits critters. There’s really not much I won’t be able to handle given enough information concerning your pet. I’m also a former medic and have plenty knowledge for special needs animals and identifying emergencies. Pet care is the start and end of my day, a lot of my schedule revolves around my mini-zoo. I’m a part time worker with full control over my schedule which allows me to focus deeply on my animal’s needs. I care about my pets as if they are family. Their activity levels, training, affection, diet, and rest are an every day concern. Others pets would be seen the same way and given the same level of care. I have plenty alternative means of caring depending on the pet personality as well, I.e. kennels, separate or same rooms, special walks and even some training thrown around in.
“Our Yorkipoo stayed with Ava for several days and when she came back home we could tell that Ava had treated her very well because she was still our sweet, happy girl! Ava was very responsive to questions and frequently posted pictures for us. All in all a very good experience. Thank you, Ava!”
“I couldn’t be more thankful for Mashawnda! Realizing that boarding my dog, Bailey, wasn’t the best option just 24 hours before our trip, I discovered Rover and found Mashawnda. She responded to my request almost immediately and arranged a meet and greet for the morning of my flight. From the moment I arrived, Mashawnda put me at ease by welcoming me into her home and introducing me to her dog and family. It was clear that Bailey felt comfortable and was happily engaging with Marley, her dog. While we were away, Mashawnda kept me updated with daily pictures and took Bailey to the dog park regularly—something I don’t even do! It allowed me to truly enjoy my weekend getaway, knowing he was in such capable hands. I highly recommend Mashawnda and look forward to using her services again in the future!”

“Maggie was a great find on Rover! She is close by; very attentive to our and our doxipoo’s needs while she stayed at Maggie’s home for a week. She sent many pictures and provided updates regularly. Would definitely use her services again! 5 star!!”

“Thaissa watched our fur baby for five days and she was fantastic! From the moment we had a meet and greet with her, she was so kind, patient and loving with our dog. You can tell she really loves animals. I felt extremely comfortable and happy leaving Mackie in her care. She gave us updates and sent pictures twice a day. I would 500% book her again in the future.”

“Our first stay at Katherine's was fantastic! She was very friendly and quick to respond. Our dog came home happy and tired from a fun visit. Great back yard for running and playing. So happy to have found a home away from home for our pup after relocating to the area. Will definitely use again.”

“This is the first time I leave my dog with Casey. My dog was very happy to the point that he didn’t wanna leave. That means he was well taken care of. Thank you so much Casey. I will definitely use you next time for my dogsiter.”

About: I know how hard it is to leave your dog with someone else because they're family. That's why I care for every dog the way I'd want someone to care for mine. I keep a calm, loving home where they can relax, play, get plenty of cuddles, and stick to their usual routine. I take time to get to know each dog's personality and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I'll also keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages, so you always know your pup is happy and in good hands. I work during the week, so I currently welcome dogs starting Friday at 5:30 pm and throughout the weekend. This gives me plenty of time to focus on their care, playtime, walks, and making them feel at home. I also have a friendly dog (Goldendoodle) who loves to play and socialize, so I'm excited to welcome dogs who would enjoy having a companion during their stay. I've always loved being around dogs and animals because they truly make my heart happy. Spending time with them brings me so much joy, and I'm excited to open my home to more furry friends. My goal is to provide a safe, happy space where every furry friend feels like they have a second home filled with love. I provide a safe, calm, and loving home with a fully fenced yard for supervised play and outdoor time. My friendly 6 year old Goldendoodle loves to play and helps visiting dogs feel right at home. I'll follow your dog's routine and keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages.

I want to thank Carrie for accepting my request at the last minute. Sometimes we can plan ahead and sometimes we can't. This was one of those moments I could not plan ahead of schedule and really appreciate Carrie answering the call. She took great care of Buster, and from the pictures I could tell that he was cared for just as I would care for him. What I love is the personal attention that is given to him. Thank you again for taking care of Buster, and I look forward to using Carrie again in the future, if her schedule permits.

Karen did an absolutely amazing job caring for Bucky! From the moment we met her, it was clear how genuinely kind, attentive, and dependable she is. She treated Bucky like her own, making sure he was comfortable, happy, and well cared for at all times. Her updates gave us complete peace of mind, and we could tell Bucky was relaxed and content in her care. It’s not easy to fully trust someone with your pet, but Karen exceeded every expectation. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable, and exceptional sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
