“Lyndsey did a great job watching our two cats while out of town! We received pictures after each visit and the cats were well cared for. She even swept our floors each visit, and picked up branches off the front porch after a storm.”

“Emily was absolutely AMAZING!! I’m hesitant to let anyone watch my cats, but I had an emergency and she quickly responded to my request. My cats adored her (even my “moody” rescue cat!!) and she was very punctual. I cannot thank her enough for the level of care she has shown.”

“We really appreciate Lydia's help. We can tell from the photos she provided of our dogs that they were well taken care of. Having someone look after our dogs on such a long vacation was a relief. Being able to keep them at our house was certainly a stress relief for them and us. They both get a little separation anxiety so not having to leave them at a boarding place was a great plus. Once again, the pictures showed that they enjoyed having Lydia there and the updates she gave us every day were a load off our minds. We would absolutely book Lydia again.”

“Kathy was fenomenal!!! She updated every visit and even went out of her way to go above and beyond!!! I will definitely recommend to anyone and re-book her!! Thank you, kathy!!”

“Maylin is an absolutely amazing pet sitter! She is so patient with my super scared cat and always gives him the time and space he needs to warm up to her. She’s always on time, incredibly detail-oriented, friendly, and her communication is amazing. I feel completely comfortable knowing Shadow is in such great hands with her. I’m so thankful to have found someone I can truly trust with his care, and I will always use Maylin whenever I need a pet sitter. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“The beginning was very rough to handle our boys, but she did an excellent job with them both. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would because Katheryn went above and beyond. We thank her so much for watching.”

“Ronnie was wonderful in all ways. She was always on time, if not early. Communication was full of great info about her sessions with our dogs, and we got lots of photos and videos while we were away. From the moment we met her, our dogs clearly loved her.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for most of my life. I’ve been asked by friends and family to dog sit many times, and have helped care for anxious dogs, as well as basic needs such as food and walks. I can also help with basic puppy training! I am available in the evenings M-F after 5pm, and on most weekends to stop in for visits or to stay overnight with your pet if needed! Right now, I have two cats in my home, but have access to a big yard and nearby parks for walking dogs and letting them play.

I understand that every animal has unique needs and will provide kind, attentive care tailored to their routine.
“Haley and Ronald were awesome watching our animals! They were very accommodating for one of our pups who got an eye infection right before we had to leave for our trip (gave her eye drops and made sure her cone stayed on). They sent lots of pics and made sure all the animals got lots of love. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a good pet sitter.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Landis
Ellie has watched our cat several times now, and she is continuously reliable and wonderful! We had to leave for our trip during a boiled water advisory, and Ellie was so kind and accommodating to follow the recommendations once lifted, to ensure the water was flushed and clean for the cat to drink and for hand washing. Our cat loves Ellie’s visits because she gets lots of pets and attention! I highly recommend Ellie as your next pet sitter!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Landis. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
