“In short, Sandra is gets a 10/10. In long form; my pet sitter had to cancel so I was left with finding one last minute. I turned to rover, with a lot of skepticism in the decision, and she made the process super pleasant. Sandra’s communication and the care/attention to the little things she did for my boys exceeded my expectations. She gets bonus points for having a stellar taste in music. If I’m ever in need again, she’ll be for sure getting a rebook from me if she’s available.”

“Brianna was amazing to our furry friends and home! She went above and beyond and even took care of one of my dogs who ended up getting sick while we were away. Definitely will be issuing her again for our sitting needs!”

“Audrey was wonderful sitter for our dog, Knox. We are so so grateful for how well she took care of him, especially at such late notice. She gave thorough and frequent updates and lots of pictures. I feel at ease planning future trips knowing Audrey is someone we could turn to to watch our pup. Thanks for everything!”

“Casey did great, went out of town to visit family and was worried about my dogs being taken care of. He was prompt with great communication. I definitely recommend and will use again.”

“Cait took such good care of Barley. He loves playtime with her. She takes him out to potty frequently which is so helpful with his training. I highly recommend her services.”

“LaJuan was really great and took wonderful care of our cats this last week! We have some very specific needs for one of our cats, and she was attentive to all our weird requests.”

“Lauren is very sweet and personable with my both my boys and is understanding of my needs as well. I have one love bug and one wild child and she handles them both perfectly by letting them out to play and potty but recognizes when they’re too hot and will rub bellies on the couch to keep them company. I will be using Lauren weekly from now on which is of great help with my hectic schedule. It’s been so comforting knowing my boys aren’t left home alone too long and that my home is in good hands while she’s here <3”

“Madison was great with our cat, Wrigley, while away. She was reliable, flexible when needed, and provided loving care and peace of mind while away. We will use her again!”

“She was absolutely great and helped me out on relatively short notice when my normal sitter couldn’t make it. She sent lots of pictures and videos so I knew my boy was doing well! Highly recommend”

About: I have experience with many kinds of animals, am insured, trained in first aid and CPR and I am a trained wildlife rehabber. I am also well versed in medication administration, geriatric care, seizure disorders, and some auto immune conditions. We couldn’t have human children, but my pets are my heart and I will care for yours like I do my own! I am starting this new adventure and pursuing my passion of animal caregiving and leaving the corporate world after 16 yearsI am excited to do something I love while offering my clients peace of mind. I will care for and love on your pets and respect your home as I do my own. Our pets and home are two of the most coveted things we have in this life!
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 10 years old; for my family’s friends, neighbors, and my own pets including dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, guinea pigs, and more. I just recently graduated college and I hope to become a vet, I want to help animals in any way I can! I recently just graduated college and while I am figuring out my next steps my schedule is very flexible. I am on the lookout for a full time job, but am prioritizing your pets needs. If you have any questions please reach out and I can personalize what you need! No matter your home/area I love to play with any fur babies and keep them safe and well entertained. I am flexible and can care for any animal in any way you see fit! Prior to accepting a care position for a pet, I go over questions around food, exercise, your own concerns, as well as a history of separation and weather anxiety. I ask for clarity around limits and boundaries in the home so I can be a reliable source of information for your pet as well as putting your minds at ease. Another thing I like to ask is how to best make your babies comfortable with a new person. Any pet is going to miss their owners and I like to know what will help them adjust the best way, as well as what makes you confident to leave them. I want to be sure everyone is happy and feels safe!
“Kateryna was amazing! So attentive to our fur babies and gave us pictures and updates each time she dropped in. Highly recommend her and will definitely rebook in the future!”

“Taren is the best. She has been walking my babies off and on for a year now. She is always so thorough with her notes, and my boys love her. Thank you for all you do, Taren!”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have personally trained my own dogs, giving me a strong understanding of canine behavior, obedience, and positive reinforcement techniques. As an Assistant Manager at a boarding facility, I gained experience safely handling dogs, administering oral and injectable medications, monitoring pets for signs of illness or distress, and ensuring their daily care and well-being. In addition to my professional experience, I have provided reliable pet sitting services, including dog walking and overnight care for pets that require feeding, medication, companionship, and supervision while their owners are away. I am patient, dependable, and committed to providing a safe, loving, and stress-free environment for every pet in my care. I also have three dogs of my own—a German Shepherd, a Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, and a Dachshund mix—which further strengthens my daily experience and passion for animal care. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life. With three dogs of my own, I’m used to structured schedules that include feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or visiting them in theirs, I make sure they receive the time, exercise, companionship, and care they deserve. I plan my day around the pets in my care so they are never left without the attention they need, and I treat every animal as if they were a member of my own family. When pets stay in my home, they become part of the family. While I don’t have a fenced-in yard, I make sure every dog gets plenty of exercise through daily walks, extra potty breaks, and supervised outdoor time on a leash. I believe dogs deserve more than just being kenneled, so they spend lots of time out of their kennel enjoying playtime, attention, and affection throughout the day. I strive to keep their routine as close to home as possible, providing a safe, clean, and loving environment where they can feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away

About: I have owned and taken care of both young and old dogs and cats most of my life. I seem to understand animals even better than humans in most cases, with animals being one of the best sources of stress relief for me. While not certified, I also trained the last few dogs that I owned, teaching both spoken and hand gesture commands. I will only be working part- time during sitting, working with online coaching clients and possibly making deliveries on Doordash during the day. In the evenings (6- 9p.m.) Monday through Friday, I do martial arts training at a dojo in Concord. I usually prefer sitting for clients with a fenced in yard for both letting the dog outside for bathroom breaks and also for play time such as throwing a ball, as well as having indoor play time in between working on my online coaching and delivery duties.
About: Dog's are my loves. Theyre treated like princes (and princesses) when in my care. I've had dogs ever since I was born and I wouldn't have it any other way. I previously owned a black lab, 7 years old, named Bear. We Iost him on 12/29/17 in a hit and run while I was out of town. He was a medium sized lab and the sweetest in the world. As I’m obviously heartbroken by the loss of a piece of my family missing, I find refugee in loving animals, as I know Bear would love more friends to play with if he were still home. I am an advocate of dogs being family, so they can be up on the couch, on the bed. I don't like to feed the dogs people food because it creates beggars, but I do like to spoil them. My fur baby has enough toys to keep a village occupied. I’m a dog loving woman, and it will never be questioned. I currently stay at home, so I have unlimited availability to be able to give your furry friend the attention that they need, and accommodate your needs as well. I have a fenced in yard, and one pup to keep your's company. I'm also able to keep the dogs separated and crate yours if that's what makes them most comfortable.

Audrey was amazing! Quick to respond to messages, very attentive to directions, so kind and thoughtful throughout. They sent so many cute photos of our pet each day and was just overall a blessing to work with. We were not worried at all leaving Ponyo under their care and would not hesitate to book them again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mount Ulla. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
