Im currently in college so i have a lot of free time that i would love to spend with your pets, I have a passion for helping people and animals! I will always take your pets safety seriously, I am trustworthy, responsible and can provide the best care around! I will treat your pets as if their my own
“She was absolutely great and helped me out on relatively short notice when my normal sitter couldn’t make it. She sent lots of pictures and videos so I knew my boy was doing well! Highly recommend”

About: I have owned and taken care of both young and old dogs and cats most of my life. I seem to understand animals even better than humans in most cases, with animals being one of the best sources of stress relief for me. While not certified, I also trained the last few dogs that I owned, teaching both spoken and hand gesture commands. I will only be working part- time during sitting, working with online coaching clients and possibly making deliveries on Doordash during the day. In the evenings (6- 9p.m.) Monday through Friday, I do martial arts training at a dojo in Concord. I usually prefer sitting for clients with a fenced in yard for both letting the dog outside for bathroom breaks and also for play time such as throwing a ball, as well as having indoor play time in between working on my online coaching and delivery duties.
“Emily was a breath of fresh air! Professional, polite, and took such great care of our cat Petey when we were out of town. She sent regular updates and we would not only use her again, but we highly recommend Emily to anyone needing expert care for their animals when away. Five Stars!!!! Thank you so much, Emily!! We really appreciate you and all that you do!! #truanimallover”

“My Mom needed a cat sitter. Previously, she had some friends who would watch her cat for her, but this time they were unavailable. My wife and I had used Rover before, and I found her on this site. Kelly did a meet and greet and we had a really good conversation with her! We were confident in her abilities and commitment for my Mom's cat. She send photos (haha, some with some great commentary 😆) for each check-in. My Mom was able to get away with my wife and I, and have not have to worry about her cat being taken care of. We'll be sure to utilize Kelly again when my Mom is traveling. Thanks Kelly!”

About: Dog's are my loves. Theyre treated like princes (and princesses) when in my care. I've had dogs ever since I was born and I wouldn't have it any other way. I previously owned a black lab, 7 years old, named Bear. We Iost him on 12/29/17 in a hit and run while I was out of town. He was a medium sized lab and the sweetest in the world. As I’m obviously heartbroken by the loss of a piece of my family missing, I find refugee in loving animals, as I know Bear would love more friends to play with if he were still home. I am an advocate of dogs being family, so they can be up on the couch, on the bed. I don't like to feed the dogs people food because it creates beggars, but I do like to spoil them. My fur baby has enough toys to keep a village occupied. I’m a dog loving woman, and it will never be questioned. I currently stay at home, so I have unlimited availability to be able to give your furry friend the attention that they need, and accommodate your needs as well. I have a fenced in yard, and one pup to keep your's company. I'm also able to keep the dogs separated and crate yours if that's what makes them most comfortable.
About: I’m a big dog and cat lover. I have owned and taken care of my own pets for at least the last 6+ years. I take pride in a job well done. I have been working for a vet for the last few weeks and have picked up a few key thing to look for if your animal is sick or having problems. I am home most of the time which gives me great opportunity to focus on your fur babies. When you leave your pet in my care it will be as if you never left. I will give them the undivided attention they need to keep them calm and happy. I love all animals and look forward to taking care of your fur babies.
About: A little background: I have been a pet owner since I was a child. I grew up on a small farm complete with horses, chickens, rabbits, goats, cats and of course dogs. I'm the current owner of a German shepherd, 2 Pomeranians, 2 cats, 5 horses, multiple chickens, and rabbits. I have years of animal handling experience through volunteering at the Central Florida Zoo and Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. I've also owned many exotic pets like turtles, fish and birds. My passion for animals has caused me to pursue a degree in environmental sciences and biology from the University of Central Florida. I love all animals and believe they should be taken care of to best of our abilities. I have many long time customer references available upon request. I live on a growing homestead that requires me to check in daily on my animals and pets. As long as I can check in on my farm we should be able to continue your normal pet care routine. In situations of conflicting schedules, I have an assistant available to help care for the dogs during the day. We can discuss our schedules and figure out what works best for everyone's needs. What you can expect from me: While your dog(s) is in my care I will provide them with the love and attention they deserve and will strive to keep them as close to their normal schedule as possible. I will prepare their food in whatever manner they are used to including any special instructions, dietary supplements, heating or mixing they may require. As the pet-mom of a Pomeranian with liver issues, I understand how important a consistent diet is for our pets and I promise to continue your dog's usual regimen. I will take your dog on potty breaks/walks as often as you request as I strive to keep to your dogs normal routine. I will send texts/pictures/emails/updates of your pets on request. I will respect your household and will leave everything as you left it. I will check mail, water plants, and care for other kinds of pets (cats, fish, exotics, small pets) at your request. I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s) and for the opportunity to provide care for them while you're away.
About: I have always loved animals but have been caring for my own dogs for the past 10 years and have experience with both puppies and adult dogs. I’ve also helped friends and family with drop-in visits, feeding, walks, and playtime. Dogs have always seemed to warm up to me quickly, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’ll care for your pet with the same patience, love, and attention I give my own. I’m currently off for the summer, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I have no upcoming travel or vacations planned, which allows me to fully commit to pet care visits, walks, and overnight care as needed. I’m able to adjust my routine around the needs of each pet to make sure they get consistent attention and care. In a client’s home, I try to keep things as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and at ease. That usually means meals on time, fresh water, potty breaks or walks, playtime, and plenty of attention (and belly rubs if they’re into that). I’m happy to follow any specific instructions and just go at your pet’s pace. My goal is to keep things calm, consistent, and loving so they feel safe while you’re away.
About: I worked as a kennel technician at a boarding/daycare facility for over a year so I have seen firsthand how stressful those environments can be despite how social you think your dog might be with others. Dogs have always been one of my special interests since I was very little, I have plenty of experience taking care of senior dogs and puppies, and I am comfortable taking care of any breed/temperament. I have no problem if you spam me for pictures of your pup and I love sending constant updates and pics! I know how stressful it can be not to have your dog in your own care so no request is too small. I am a full-time college student studying environment and zoology, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! I have full class schedule throughout the week and it changes per semester, don’t let that stop you from reaching out! I will take a look at any request and see if I can make them work. The more specific you are the better. If I have even the tiniest question I will not hesitate to reach out, I want your dog to be as close to there typical environment/schedule as possible so they are comfortable. Saftey is the big priority for me when caring for your pup, your dog will never be put in an unsafe situation by me. I am comfortable with emergency aid if necessary and I have transportation if your dog needs to be taken to a veterinarian.
About: I work as a Kennel Technician taking care and loving the dogs who have been pulled from kill shelters to rehabilitate them, so we are able to relocate them and find them good homes. I also worked with my Uncle on his ranch with his rescue dogs and other farm animals. In the near futuer I will be going back to school to study Zoology. I've been around dogs and cats my entire life. I have a strong love for animals and I'm a very patient person. I know how to treat them the way they should be treated. I'd like to think I'm amazing at what I do and not only am I great with animals but I love working with them. I will love your dogs and take care of them just as I do my own!
About: I am an experienced sitter who has also worked at a pet grooming and boarding salon. I have training with giving meds and etc also if needed. I am well versed with young and old pets also. I have experience with cats, dogs, fish, and more! During my stay with your fur baby I will love them as much as possible and you will recover lots of pictures and updates! This is my job full time right now so I am fully committed to you and your pets needs! I dope you consider me in the future for all your pet needs. I am always available for owner or pet needs. I stay in home full-time or as needed and give pets plenty of potty breaks, lots of play time/ attention, and check water/ food bowls regularly depending on their feeding schedule. I give lots of love and treat your pets like my own while in the home!
“✨ 10/10 recommend Payton! ✨ She is amazing with animals and truly loves what she does. My wild, high-energy boys adore her, and she handles them with patience, care, and lots of love. Payton is dependable, communicative, and treats your pets like family. Having her watch your dogs feels like having a trusted friend come over to spoil them while you’re away. I can’t recommend her enough!”

About: As a dog trainer, daycare provider, and dog mom myself, I know every dog is different and deserves care tailored to their individual personality, comfort level, and needs. Whether your dog loves to play all day, prefers a calm environment, needs extra structure, or simply wants a cozy place to relax, my goal is always to create a safe, enriching, and low-stress experience. I focus heavily on: • structured play & socialization • engagement & enrichment • clear communication • safe dog handling • individualized care Your dog deserves more than just a place to stay. They deserve to feel understood, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away 🫶 Dog care is my full-time career. As a professional dog trainer and daycare provider, my daily routine revolves around the dogs in my care. Each day includes supervised play, enrichment activities, potty breaks, structured rest periods, feeding routines, and individual attention based on each dog's needs. Because I work from home with dogs, guests are rarely left alone and are actively monitored throughout the day. Whether your dog enjoys adventure, social time, training games, or simply relaxing in a comfortable environment, I strive to provide a safe and enriching experience from drop-off to pick-up. Safety is my top priority. I am a professional dog trainer with experience managing dogs of different ages, temperaments, and play styles. All dogs are carefully introduced, supervised, and matched appropriately. I use crates, gates, leashes, and rotations when needed to create a safe and low-stress environment for everyone. My home includes dedicated dog spaces for play, enrichment, rest, and safe separation when appropriate. Dogs are never expected to "work it out" on their own and are actively supervised during interactions. Cleanliness is also a major priority. Dog areas are routinely cleaned and disinfected using pet-safe products, and I maintain strict sanitation practices between guests. I take time to learn each dog's personality, preferences, and comfort level so I can provide individualized care rather than a one-size-fits-all experience.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,167 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cleveland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cleveland. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
