“Audrey was amazing! Quick to respond to messages, very attentive to directions, so kind and thoughtful throughout. They sent so many cute photos of our pet each day and was just overall a blessing to work with. We were not worried at all leaving Ponyo under their care and would not hesitate to book them again.”

“Brianna was amazing to our furry friends and home! She went above and beyond and even took care of one of my dogs who ended up getting sick while we were away. Definitely will be issuing her again for our sitting needs!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Sandra caring for our 3 cats! She’s incredibly trustworthy, kept us well informed with lots of pics, prompt communication, and made sure our cats received lots of love and playtime. We’ll for sure be using her services again and highly recommend her! 😃”

“Kateryna was amazing! So attentive to our fur babies and gave us pictures and updates each time she dropped in. Highly recommend her and will definitely rebook in the future!”

“LaJuan was really great and took wonderful care of our cats this last week! We have some very specific needs for one of our cats, and she was attentive to all our weird requests.”

“She was absolutely great and helped me out on relatively short notice when my normal sitter couldn’t make it. She sent lots of pictures and videos so I knew my boy was doing well! Highly recommend”

“We’ve hired Madison to dogsit a few times now and she is always so reliable and couldn’t treat our pups better! She’s a pleasure to communicate with and is always thorough with her updates on how the dogs are doing. We look forward to working with her more in the future!”

“Lauren is very sweet and personable with my both my boys and is understanding of my needs as well. I have one love bug and one wild child and she handles them both perfectly by letting them out to play and potty but recognizes when they’re too hot and will rub bellies on the couch to keep them company. I will be using Lauren weekly from now on which is of great help with my hectic schedule. It’s been so comforting knowing my boys aren’t left home alone too long and that my home is in good hands while she’s here <3”

“Casey did great, went out of town to visit family and was worried about my dogs being taken care of. He was prompt with great communication. I definitely recommend and will use again.”

I work from home, so your pet will get plenty of attention throughout the day! I’m flexible with walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and can adjust to your pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for. Whether in my home or yours, I prioritize a safe, clean, and calm environment. I follow your pet’s routine closely, give them plenty of love and supervision, and always keep an eye on their comfort and well-being. You’ll get regular updates, so you can feel confident they’re in good hands.

About: Hi! My name is Claire, I am a recent graduate looking to assist care for dogs in my free time! I've been surrounded by dogs my whole life and currently have three of my own, so you can trust me with dogs of any age, size, or breed! I currently have a miniature dachshund, golden retriever, and german shorthaired pointer. As my favorite animal, I am very passionate about them and will make sure to treat your dog with just as much love as I do mine! I have a very flexible schedule being home for the summer from college, so anytime of the day will usually work for me. I am willing to sit for anyone in the area from home and while at school in Florida (it will be just a tighter schedule while in school and playing sports). I love to be outside, workout, go on walks, and so much more. I will love and nourish any pet I take care of-- and respect all owners of their wishes. If there are any specifics related to your pet, please let me know and I will do my part in honoring them! I currently live in both North Carolina and Florida, and looking to work in my free time, being a college athlete. Whether that be talking dogs on a walk or letting them out during the day/evenings! I am very flexible. At my home we have land that my dogs are able to run on. I sit outside and play with them while they are out, and occasionally take them to the park to go on walks. All are crate trained very well and love to relax around the family. In my client's home I will respect the service they wish me to do. I treat everything as if it were mine and check all the needs of the pets to make sure they are fully accommodated. What ever the client needs, is what I will do! I will love your dog just as much as you do!
About: I’ve always had two or more animals in my home, so caring for pets has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember! I’ve had our oldest dog since 2019, and my youngest dog since 2022, when we brought him home at just 10 weeks old. We also welcomed our cat in 2024 when he was 22 weeks old! We are pretty obsessed with them as you can probably tell 🐶🤎 I’ve pet sat for multiple families, friends, and relatives, and have even been recommended to extended family members. My pet-sitting experience has included feedings, walks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure pets feel happy and comfortable while their people are away. I know how hard it is to leave your animals behind for, not only you but for them, so my goal is to make sure everyone feels comfortable, cared for, and happy! I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I got to care for and spend time with animals who were waiting for their forever homes. It gave me the opportunity to work with animals outside of my own home and learn how different each pet can be. I’ve also raised a puppy myself and have worked with many different breeds, ages, and personalities. I’m happy to follow each pet’s individual routine and give them the patience, attention, and care they’re used to. They are our babies so we treat them as such!! The perks of being a stay at home wife is that I get to spend all day with my precious animals! What that means for you is that my availability is pretty open! Just shoot me a message and we should be able to make it work! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m coming to theirs! I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone, and I want you to have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. For pets staying with me, I keep a calm, comfortable, and pet-friendly environment where they can relax, play, and get plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m currently home most of the time, so your pup won’t be spending their stay alone for long periods of time. I only host one guest dog at a time so I can give them plenty of individual attention. For walks and drop-in visits, I’m respectful of your home and your pet’s routine. I’ll follow your instructions, keep a close eye on your pet, and make sure they’re safe and comfortable throughout our time together. I’m also big on communication and will keep you updated with photos and little updates while you’re away. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m stopping by to care for them, my goal is the same: for them to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. 🐾🤎
About: I have three of my own senior babies that I love with all my heart, and I am looking to spread that love to your babies as well. I have experience with pets of all ages, but caring for seniors is one area where I excel. I am very patient and gentle, and I am very diligent about routines (especially when it comes to medical needs/medications). I currently work from home have the ability to incorporate visits within my daily schedule. I am also free on weekends and can provide extended or multiple visits when needed. I have a fenced in yard at my home, and even when my dogs are outside, I am always watching them to ensure they are safe, which I would also do for your family. If you do not have a fenced in yard, I would be sure to take your loved one outside on a secured leash.

About: I have owned and taken care of both young and old dogs and cats most of my life. I seem to understand animals even better than humans in most cases, with animals being one of the best sources of stress relief for me. While not certified, I also trained the last few dogs that I owned, teaching both spoken and hand gesture commands. I will only be working part- time during sitting, working with online coaching clients and possibly making deliveries on Doordash during the day. In the evenings (6- 9p.m.) Monday through Friday, I do martial arts training at a dojo in Concord. I usually prefer sitting for clients with a fenced in yard for both letting the dog outside for bathroom breaks and also for play time such as throwing a ball, as well as having indoor play time in between working on my online coaching and delivery duties.
“Taren is the best. She has been walking my babies off and on for a year now. She is always so thorough with her notes, and my boys love her. Thank you for all you do, Taren!”

About: I have experience with many kinds of animals, am insured, trained in first aid and CPR and I am a trained wildlife rehabber. I am also well versed in medication administration, geriatric care, seizure disorders, and some auto immune conditions. We couldn’t have human children, but my pets are my heart and I will care for yours like I do my own! I am starting this new adventure and pursuing my passion of animal caregiving and leaving the corporate world after 16 yearsI am excited to do something I love while offering my clients peace of mind. I will care for and love on your pets and respect your home as I do my own. Our pets and home are two of the most coveted things we have in this life!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Ulla
Audrey was amazing! She was able to help me out last minute with drop-in visits for my two cats while I was out of town after my original sitter didn’t work out. She was so sweet, considerate, and made me feel completely at ease knowing they were being taken care of. She sent lots of pictures and updates with every visit, which I really appreciated. She even got my shy cat to come out of hiding and play with her, which never happens! I’m so thankful she was able to step in on such short notice, I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🥰

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
