Caitlin was absolutely amazing with my dog. She spent a lot of quality time with her, long walks and a lot of attention. She sent so many pictures and detailed information for each walk! This was our first time with Rover and was nervous on how our dog would respond because she was from a shelter. Well she absolutely loved Caitlin and was so happy when she would come to walk her ! There was a lot of tail wagging and even sat in her lap to get scratches! I think our pup made a new bestie!! We will definitely use her again!! Thank you for treating our puppy like your own!

Jamee was a huge life saver and was able to take my dogs for a walk when I had last minute travel changes. She was very responsive and communicated throughout the walk. She went above and beyond. She sent me photos and reassured me that they were doing okay. She also fed my dogs with no complaints.

About: I’ve raised 2 dogs of my own since they were puppies and one is now a senior. I have received many compliments of being the best dog mom but I am also a very attentive and responsible pet sitter. I have taken care of cats and dogs alike and I truly love and care for them like they are my own. I have plenty of time to care for your pets during the day or evening. I am more of a morning person for sure but I am very flexible. I have a fenced in front and back yard which makes it easy to let dogs outside. I am also very active so walking or running is no problem.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. From a variety of small to big dogs. My friends and family rely on me to keep them during vacation and for some play time when they like to have a break. My weekly pet care routine is fun because I mix responsibility with play. I keep feeding and grooming on a consistent schedule, but I add variety with walks in different places, new toys, and short training games. It helps my pet stay happy and keeps the routine from feeling repetitive. I make sure everything is cleaned and organized so my furry baby is not getting into mess. I keep the doors closed when not in the room. Everything is puppy proofed.

About: I work fully from home and since I will be home more this year, I'd love to care for your pets! I have experience with petsitting on rover during my college years, both with boarding and drop-ins, and have house-sat in the past couple of years outside of Rover. I have 3 cats myself but I have also had pets since I was a child including a dog, horse, and chinchilla. For house sitting my partner and I are both available for overnights, especially with multiple dogs. I am a remote worker and have the flexibility to adjust my schedule as needed throughout the day for check-ins or housesitting and petsitting stays. I will treat your pets like my own. I wash my cats bowls every day after they eat, fill up their water and make sure it's clean, keep the litter clean, and make sure to play with them and give them enough attention. For dogs I will also make sure to regularly let them out, or walk them. I'm also a plant mom and can water your plants if needed.

About: I got my first dog when I was 31 and it's been a love story ever since. It's me and my kind 4 year old mixed breed. I have experience with teeny, tiny Chihuahuas up to gentle giants. I'm home full time right now, so your dog will have plenty of attention when staying with me. When I am out of the house my dog is free to roam. If your dog is house trained, they can be loose or in their crate if they prefer. I have a fenced in patio and a closed deck that your dog can hang out on with supervision. I have a couple tie downs around the yard and a 25 ft lead. Finally, I walk my dog twice a day and will do the same for yours.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all of my life, with two Dobermans and a Great Dane. I’ve watched dogs of every size from Boston Terriors to St. Bernards and Danes. I’ve had two dogs of my own, and I’d love to help you take care of yours. My current pup is a rescue pittie named Lulu, who is super docile and loves any and all other dogs. Even if your baby is dog selective, she matches play styles and knows when to back off. I’m flexible and will treat your dog like the prince/princesses they are. I’ll be glad to send you as many pictures/videos as you desire! I can also help with consistency in training, as long as you tell me what you’re working on. I work Monday through Friday and am gone approximately 8.5 hours during the day, although I don’t work much in the summer. I take care of my pup before and after work, and it would be simple to add your pup’s needs into the mix. I am a very loving and responsible dog mama who treats my dog like a baby. I will always treat your pet and home with the utmost respect, gentleness, and love.

About: Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile. I hope you find what you are looking for here, and please feel free to reach out if you have further inquiries. I typically to respond to customers (both present and potential!) within 30 minutes between the hours of 7 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. My name is Samm, I am 29 years old & live in downtown Kannapolis, and I'm the licensed & insured sitter you've been searching for! While there are many great sitters on Rover, what sets me aside from others is I am licensed and insured (privately- beyond the "Rover Guarantee"). Your safest and most secure bet for your pet will always be with me- check out my reviews! I have been professionally using Rover since 2015. I built my client base in Charlotte and loved every single one of my clients- both pups and parents. I took a hiatus due to COVID and moved from south Charlotte to Kannapolis, and am now opening my services back up to welcome in new clients in the area. While many Rover sitters specialize in dogs, I have experience with all walks of life when it comes to pets- dogs, cats, fish (saltwater and freshwater tanks), birds (including fowl such as chickens, geese, ducks, etc.), reptiles and amphibians (yes even snakes!) so rest assured that whatever pets you have, they will be in loving and experienced hands when in my care. While I am not a paid dog trainer, I do love to work with my clients puppies (young and old) on reinforcing their training as per their parents desires. This ranges from crate training to leash pulling to general obedience, and everything in between. I understand that as a pet parent, you know best for your pup and their home environment. Please do not be afraid to add in special "requests" as such when booking with me. I have a vast amount of experience with senior dogs and dogs who live with disabilities. I am able to administer medications in a timely manner (pills, liquids, and injections) when required, and I am trained in first aid in the event of an emergency. I am currently studying engineering and have a flexible schedule outside of my studies. I would love to fill my spare time doting on your pets! 9 times out of 10, I am able to arrange to accommodate your schedule when given a sufficient notice. I am currently no longer offering overnights or daycare to new clients at my home, as we now have chickens and ducks as pets in our backyard. While our birds are acclimated and unphased by our dogs, there is always a possibility that our birds can trigger a prey drive in unacquainted dogs. While I can survive the heartache of losing a chicken (EVERYTHING hunts chickens around here!), chicken bones can pose a very serious and potentially deadly threat to dogs when ingested. So, for everyone's safety, I am currently only offering services outside of my home. As such, I am available for drop-in visits in your home, walks, as well as house sitting. Please read on for what you can expect out of each type of visit in your home, and as always, reach out at any time for further information if needed. Walks: I offer 30 minute or 1 hour walks. This service is perfect for those who work or are out of the house, but need someone to help with making sure their pet gets exercise and a potty break. 30 minute walks are typically 0.5 miles to 1 mile in distance, sometimes more or less depending upon your dogs size and energy levels. A 1 hour walk is usually ~2 miles. During these visits, my main priority is getting your dog outside and nicely tired out so you can enjoy your day uninterrupted. I will make sure your dog gets a potty break while we are out, so all you have to worry about afterwards is where your dog wants to take their nap :) Drop-In Visits: I currently offer 30 minute and 1 hour drop-in visits. This is typically what an owner will book me for if they are out of town and need a sitter to drop in and make sure the household and pets are doing well. During this time, my first priority is medication administration, if applicable. Second to that in priority is ensuring your pup gets to relieve themselves. Please specify if you prefer your dog use your yard, or if you would like for us to take a stroll around the neighborhood. I take 15-20 minutes of walk or backyard play for 30 minute visits, and about 30-40 minutes for hour visits. The remainder of my visit will be to replenish food and water, give treats, pets, and attention, and clean up any messes that may have occurred. Please note that this is MY general outline- if you have a different routine you'd like me to follow that works better for you and your pet, simply notify me of such and I will be more than happy to follow your procedures. House Sitting: I will be staying overnight in your home and provide daily care and company for your pets and home. I will provide my own food, toiletries, personal items, etc., so you will only have to worry about and focus on gathering what your pet needs while you are away. Please note that I will not be at your home 24 hours a day. I will likely have to leave for class or to tend to my pets at home. If you need constant care at home for your pet, I am able to arrange for that to happen at an additional cost- please just let me know in your original booking inquiry. With a house sitting booking, you can expect me to perform all the everyday activities your pet requires. This includes timely administration of medications, sticking to your desired feeding routine, and as many walks and playtimes as you desire. Please let me know the desired duration of walks/play as I do not want to overexert your pet, or alternatively, not give them enough exercise. Light housekeeping will be performed- plants will be watered, mail will be taken in daily, sweeping/vacuuming fur and dirt, and general cleaning up after your pet in the event of messes. I make sure that your home is in the same or better condition as when you left it. I do not smoke or drink and will not be bringing unauthorized persons onto your property. Typically I send one update (accompanied by pet photos) per day around the afternoon. If you would like more- no problem! Just inform me of such and I am happy to keep you as much in-the-loop as you desire.

About: I have taken care of all sorts of pets since I was very little. I know how to give meds and can administer basic training. While your baby is here he/she will become apart of the family till you pick him/her up. We wake up with our toddler which will be about 6:30 every morning. We will then take your pet out for a walk and then keep to what ever schedule you have set for your pet. We are a very active family so your pets will probably be outdoors with us going hiking or just playing outside. I currently don't have a fenced in yard but I will put a leash on your pet till I get one

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
