About: I've been an animal lover all my life. From preservation of gentle giants to rescuing the small and helpless. I grew up always having dogs and now I have 3 rescue brother cats that are my world. I take care of my own cats daily. I don't have much of a routine daily or weekly, I just have a lot of spare time and am doing this to help fill some of it. My cats do not bode well with other cats or dogs. Though I've rescued cats in my area, I have adopted them out because of this. I don't offer any services in my residence because of this.

Caitlin was absolutely amazing with my dog. She spent a lot of quality time with her, long walks and a lot of attention. She sent so many pictures and detailed information for each walk! This was our first time with Rover and was nervous on how our dog would respond because she was from a shelter. Well she absolutely loved Caitlin and was so happy when she would come to walk her ! There was a lot of tail wagging and even sat in her lap to get scratches! I think our pup made a new bestie!! We will definitely use her again!! Thank you for treating our puppy like your own!

Rachel was great with my dog Chance (60 lb Husky/ lab mix). I recently visited the Charlotte area and brought Chance with me. I was very nervous as I had not used Rover before and we were far from home. Rachel texted the day before to confirm, which put my mind at ease. Chance loved Rachel immediately. She was kind, loving and patient with Chance. She had excellent control over him on his walks and made his safety top priority. She was a strong communicator who gave us updates and pictures. If I ever return to Charlotte and need a dog walker or sitter, I would definitely rebook Rachel. I highly recommend her! 5 ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ from me and Chance!!!

About: I am a well versed animal care provider! I’ve worked with various rescues and Sandy’s Pet Service over the years alongside taking care of my own animals. I have had experience with animals of all shapes and sizes! My goal is to keep things as normal and comfortable as possible for your pet while you are gone :) I am a full time student and I run my own pet sitting business outside of rover so my schedule is flexible and accommodating! I am also a couch to 5k coach so Tuesday and Thursday evenings I have limited availability. In your home I work with your rules and whatever your pet feels most comfortable with! (I may give an extra treat or two 👀) if your pup enjoys car rides we will definitely go for a pup cup but if they’re more of a homebody, playtime in the yard or a walk through the neighborhood can be enjoyed as well :)

About: Hey, I’m Nickey — a stay-at-home mom, dog lover, and proud pet parent of four big pups (who are kept completely separate from guests). I specialize in caring for small dogs only, giving them all the attention and comfort they deserve in a safe, loving home. I also have three little ones, ages 2 to 9, who are gentle and used to being around animals. If needed, I’m happy to keep your pup in their own quiet space away from the kids to ensure everyone stays relaxed and happy. I know how important it is to leave your dog somewhere that feels like home. That’s why I offer: • A stress-free environment just for small dogs • One-on-one attention • Frequent photo + video updates • A calm, cozy routine filled with love, care, and belly rubs Let’s set up a meet-and-greet — I’d love to welcome your little one into my care 🐾✨ I’m a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule, which means your pup will get plenty of love and attention throughout the day! I’m available for both weekday and weekend boarding and daycare, and I’m home full-time — no rushing in or out. Whether it’s a short stay or a week-long vacation, your dog will be well cared for in a calm, cozy environment. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I only accept small dogs, and I already have four large dogs of my own who stay in a separate part of the home. I also have three young kids (ages 2–9) who are great around pets but can be kept completely separate if needed. I provide a secure, smoke-free, kid-aware environment with lots of supervision, soft spaces to rest, and plenty of cuddles. I’m happy to crate your dog if requested and will follow any feeding, potty, or nap routines you provide.

About: Come stay with friends and enjoy a fenced in back yard with lots of birds to chase! Your pup will go home tired after a stay with our family. Walks, runs, a swim in the pool, or just a romp in the yard with fellow four-legged friends. 2 kids, 2 adults, 2 dogs who love to play. We are an active family who also enjoys a good Sunday afternoon nap. With alternating schedules, your pup won't be left alone for long. Why I love dog sitting I've had a dog since I went to college. My first girl lived to be 17 and was with me through thick and thin. Since then I've had 3 boys (one passed away with Cancer at 5 y/o, and another passed at 10 1/2). Now we have the 1 big boy, and a spunky (somewhat bossy) little girl. Meet my pets We have 2 dogs: a 1 y/o 75lb Bernedoodle and a 10 y/o 15lb Poodle/Rat Terrier Mix. We have 1 teenager at home, and one in college, who LOVE dogs and often help out with our visitors. About my yard We have good size back yard that is completely fenced in. Plenty of room to run around freely and there is always someone willing to play fetch! We also have an in ground swimming pool. Dogs are welcome to swim when the weather is warm (supervised of course). Visitors are treated like part of the family. They will stay indoors with plenty of chances to go outside. We try to keep guests on a similar schedule to what they would be doing at their own house. Visitors are treated like part of the family. They will stay indoors with plenty of chances to go outside. • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
