About: I grew up with having a dog around the house, so I have always loved being around pets. The last two summers I have pet sat for families while they were on vacation. Some of the dogs I have taken care of have had medical needs, so I am able to give dogs medication if needed. I have taken care of big and small dogs. I look forward to working and taking care of your pet! During the summer I have more availability outside of when I am on vacation. For house sitting services, I am happy to provide overnight care for your pet. There will be times I will leave the home to run errands, go to work, family time and etc. But I will make sure that your pet’s routine is kept in tact and that they get all the snuggles and love they need. I am a full time teacher so once the school year starts my availability will change. I will not be able to provide pet care in my home. But I can provide pet care in a clients home. I am able to provide walks, feed your pet, provide snuggles, and medication if needed. I will ensure the client home stays clean if I am booked for overnight pet care. If it is too hot outside I may limit the time for the walk. I will also bring a water bottle with a bowl to make sure your dog does not overheat.

About: Im home full time so endless attention for your pet. Ive grown up with dogs my entire life & love to care for them. I own 3 dogs. 1 small maltipoo male dog & 1 small yorkie female. I own 1 45 pd pit bull mix female who is very friendly and not dog aggressive at all. I love to play outside with the dogs whenever possible. Im comfortable with pretty much any breed of dog as long as they are kid friendly. I live in a great dog friendly neighborhood for me to walk & exercise the dogs. Your pet will be treated as family in my home. I love puppies and the energy they bring. The dogs will have free roam of the house while I'm at home & will stick to the schedule you have for them as much as possible. For everyone's safety if and when I do leave to run errands I do crate all animals. You will need to provide your own crate along with food and water bowls. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby. To help me plan my day and provide the best care for all guests, please limit requested drop-off and pick-up times to a maximum two-hour window. Shorter time frames are greatly appreciated, as broad windows spanning several hours can make scheduling difficult. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! I work from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and exercise throughout the day. I plan my schedule around the pets in my care to ensure they receive consistent walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of love—from morning potty breaks to evening wind-downs. 🐾 I care for every pet as if they were my own by following their usual routine as closely as possible. In my home, pets have a safe, clean, and comfortable environment with plenty of supervision, playtime, walks, and attention throughout the day since I work from home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to stick to their feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special instructions so pets feel comfortable and stress-free while their owners are away. I also provide lots of affection and updates so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for.

About: I’ve always been around animals and have worked professionally in dog and cat daycare and boarding. I love getting to know and taking care of people’s greatest companions! I have experience home sitting and daily drop in care. I also have experience administering medicines. I look forward to getting to know your furry family! Im currently a college student and have a part time job, both of which are very flexible and easy to work around. Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m generally unavailable from 10-11:30 am but am free beyond that! I’m more than willing and able to work around each of our schedules to make something work! I am happy to meet your pet where they are most comfortable in their own home, this tends to help the shyest of pets warm up to me so I can take the best care of them possible. If available, I also love having an initial meeting with you to go over your pets details and meet them while their safe person is still present! However, I’m also comfortable meeting them on my own if that is what works for your schedule. Your fur friends comfort and safety is my biggest priority!

About: I’ve taken care of all types and breeds of animals since I was 10. Most pets feel my energy and are immediately comfortable with me. I get up first thing in the morning and feed the animals, scoop litter boxes and let them out before I even feed myself. Then I go to work for anywhere from 3 to 6 hours. When I return home, dogs go outside for potty breaks, and cats get fed. Once the dogs come back in, they get fed. Depending on their needs and age, I give pretty regular potty breaks. And then a final potty break before bed. Petsitting helps complement my regular day job. I have a fenced in backyard for dogs to roam around, run and play, and to go to the bathroom. I have a 71 inch gate to my living room to separate large dogs from cats or other animals if needed. I also have multiple baby gates to separate out areas if animals don’t do well with other animals or need some time to adjust.

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, including my 3-year-old Goldendoodle and 8-year-old Golden Retriever. I’m flexible and able to work around most schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and overnight stays with advance notice, and I’ll always communicate clearly to confirm timing before each booking. When your pet is with me, you can expect consistent care, attention, and safety, including walks, playtime, feeding, and water checks exactly as instructed, along with a calm and patient approach for all dog personalities and energy levels. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing, and I treat every dog like family. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority at all times. I’m attentive to each dog’s behavior and needs to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable, whether they’re energetic or more laid-back. I also keep a clean environment and make sure pets are always in a safe space during visits or stays.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Growing up with six family dogs, I gained experience with all kinds of personalities, ages, and needs. Recently, I helped care for three of my senior dogs through their later years, teaching me the importance of patience and attentiveness. I’ve been dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since elementary school and have been caring for pets through Rover since high school. I also have volunteer experience with animal shelters and am comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Dogs truly feel like family to me, and I treat every pet I care for with the same love and attention I would give my own. I currently have a very flexible schedule while studying for my North Carolina real estate license, so I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays on YOUR schedule. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! I recently graduated and am focused on studying for my real estate exam right now, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I’m more than happy to accommodate to your dog’s regular routine. I will not be able to bring dogs into my residence but will gladly take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home and outdoor spaces.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
