About: Since being a teenager, I’ve been paid to house sit and do drop ins for the pets of friends and family, in addition to growing up with a family dog, Darla. After Darla eventually passed from old age, in 2018 my family adopted Millie, a beagle-mix who is a lover of walks and still full of surprises after almost seven years! Now that I’m back at school and away from my own dog, I’d love to help support pet owners who need dog walking services or drop in visits! I am currently a student at UNCG, and have class on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I’m still available on those days during specific times, but am almost always available on Wednesdays, and the weekend (FriSatSun). I think an important part of building trust with a client is sending them regular updates such as photos or videos of their pet(s) in addition to a report on how they’ve been doing. Trusting others to care for your pet is hard, especially if you don’t know the sitter or walker personally. Things like that are how I try to ensure that a client knows they are getting the service they paid for and that their pet(s) are well looked after.
“Erica is AMAZING. She is so good with our dog and definitely keeps him active! She really maintains our training regimen and enforces what we’ve been working on with the dog. She’s our new go-to for walks and exercise!”

About: I've been caring for pets of all sizes since I was a kid — dogs, cats, bearded dragons, and fish. I have two dogs of my own and have pet sat for neighbors, friends, and family for years, handling everything from energetic puppies to calm seniors. I'm comfortable with all breeds and sizes, and I always treat every pet like my own. This summer I'm dedicated to pet care and have a flexible schedule built around your needs. I also babysit, so I do have some bookings to work around — but I’m great at coordinating and will always make sure your pet gets consistent, reliable care. Mornings, afternoons, and evenings are generally available. Just message me, and we’ll find what works! I always visit your pet in your own home so they stay comfortable in their familiar space. I follow your routines closely — feeding schedules, medications, quirks, and all. I'm detail-oriented by nature (I'm a pharmacy student!), and you can count on me to send updates and photos so you always know your pet is happy and safe.
About: Years ago, my mother and I owned a boarding kennel and I was a professional groomer. Now I am semi-retired and loving spending time with furry friends! I am familiar with all breeds and love them all! We have always had a pet in our home and would love to provide care while you have to be away. I currently work outside the home for a partial day on Mondays. Other than errands and appointments, I am home all day to interact with your fur baby! Should an emergency come up, I am available. All our furry guests are treated like family. We have a large fenced in yard with no steps for the older fur babies. We own a cat that pretty much keeps to herself. We are good with pets of all ages and understand they all need different levels of care. We are empty nesters, so have the time and energy to keep up with any needs your pet may have. With the exception of Mondays, someone is home all day to provide personal care and supervision for your pet. Mondays Alice works outside the home for a partial day and pets would need to be left alone for 4-6 hours, or she would need to be able to bring your pet (only one) to work with her. Both Alice and Don love animals and provide a nurturing and loving environment for your pet in their home with regular potty breaks in their fenced in back yard.
“I can’t say enough good things about Tania! She responded to my last-minute request and was incredibly accommodating. She even took the time to do a meet and greet beforehand, which immediately put me and my 12-year-old pup at ease. Tania was patient, kind, and clearly has a natural love for animals. She took her on a nice long walk and gave her all the care and attention she needed. It’s rare to find someone so reputable, reliable, and genuinely compassionate. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again—highly recommended!”

About: I’ve cared for pets for decades! I’ve cared for cats, dogs, reptiles, fish, rats, bunnies, and more! I’ve cared for all ages and needs levels of dogs and cats. I’ve cared for anxious pets who won’t eat and laid-back let’s who just want cuddles! All animals welcome! Over the summer in free quite a bit! I will have a few things planned here or there but I’m super flexible. During the school year, evenings and weekends are best. I live in an apartment so having your pets in my home will be more difficult but not impossible. I would prefer your home because the pets will be more comfortable and relaxed! Providing the best environment for your pets is my priority.

About: Raised alongside a German Shepherd, a Chihuahua, and three stray kitties, I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. As a proud beagle mama, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy. I’m responsible, loving, and detail-oriented, and I will care for your pets like family. 🐾 I’m a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule and am available 4 days a week to care for your fur babies. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or cuddles, I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved. We all know how stressful it can be for pets when their owner is away and a stranger comes in to care for them. To make the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible for your fur babies, I encourage you to share as much information as you can about their routine, habits, favorite walking routes, likes, dislikes, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable and secure.
About: I’m new to rover, but I’m anything but new to pet care! I grew up taking care of all sorts of animals — goats, ferrets, guinea pigs, lizards, you name it! And in the last ten years, I’ve unintentionally built up quite a resume with pet sitting just because of my passionate love for animals. I am many pet owners’ go-to for pet sitting because they trust me to take care of their fur babies in the exact way they would, so you can trust me too:) My husband currently provides the only source of income for us, so my goal with Rover is to turn my pet sitting hobby into a little bit of extra income for us. Since I have no other job, I am free as a bird with an open and flexible schedule! I can easily adapt to your schedule and your pets’ needs:) I can easily provide whatever is needed for your pet. Your pet can run freely inside or be crated to your preference. The only thing I can’t provide is a fenced in yard, but our yard is huge and far from neighbors, and I have a totally free schedule to walk and entertain your pet however much you’d like. If I am coming to your home, you can trust me to follow whatever directions you have. You can also trust me to never take on more pets than I can handle just for the sake of the money, because my main objective is to provide excellent care above all else! We have one medium-sized dog, but he stays with “grandma and grandpa” while I am pet sitting unless of course you request for your pet to have some company!

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life, with extensive experience caring for everything from dogs and cats to various exotic pets. Alongside a lifetime of personal pet ownership, I bring 3 years of professional kennel experience and 6 years of pet sitting for family and friends. I am highly comfortable administering medications (oral pills and topical treatments) and have experience working with all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I look forward to treating your fur baby like my own! I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of free time and a highly flexible schedule to love, walk, and care for your pets. Because of my routine, I specialize in: Early morning check-ins Mid-day walks and visits Evening drop-in visits Overnight pet sitting To see my specific openings, please check out my Rover Calendar. Every visit or stay is fully customized to your pet’s exact needs. My standard routine includes attentive potty breaks, feeding and fresh water, and engaging enrichment/playtime. I am also fully equipped to maintain a clean environment, including scooping litter boxes, misting cages, and safely administering prescribed oral or topical medications. To ensure we're the perfect fit for each other, I require a brief, complimentary meet and greet before finalizing any bookings. This gives us a chance to go over routines and allows me to meet your precious fur babies! ❤️ Please let me know what days work best for you.
“Dorothy is the best! I moved recently and needed someone right away for my fur baby. I appreciate how she communicates during her time with my dog. Dorothy is reliable and loves my chocolate Labrador Retriever. He loves her as well!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 10 years and spent 5 years volunteering with an animal shelter in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I helped care for rescue dogs, assisted with transportation to veterinary appointments, supported adoption efforts, and spent most weekends working directly with the animals. I also volunteered in Cape Verde, Africa, helping care for homeless animals and supporting local animal welfare projects. Over the years, I have worked with pets of different ages, sizes, personalities, and backgrounds. I have experience with both energetic pets and those who need a calmer, more patient approach. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always do my best to follow their routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s well - being and happiness are my top priorities. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I have a flexible schedule and can provide walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care. I always make sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while their owners are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any special care requirements. I understand that every pet is different and always take the time to build trust and make them feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for in their own environment.

About: I work from home and would love an excuse to get up from my desk and what better excuse than to get some puppy and dog cuddles while also getting exercise by walking. I currently have a corporate work from home job that requires me to be at a desk. This type of schedule fits into my routine because it allows me to visit pets before starting work, at lunch or breaks, and also after work. My schedule is very flexible that I can meet you where you need it. I am very detail oriented and a huge pet lover at heart so when I am visiting your house, I respect the house rules and follow instructions to a T. I also am very high energy due to ADHD and am a great partner for fetch and walks.
“Gabrielle is the best dog walker, always taking great care of our pup! She’s a great communicator, provides great pictures and walk summaries, and is always accommodating to our schedules. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog walker!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for family and friends since I was 12 years old. I would feed, play, cuddle, and walk the pets to ensure they were well taken care of. I watch them as if they are my own since I know how important our pets are to us. I’ve had pit bulls, Rottweilers, labs and cats as pets and fosters. I am currently working as a server and host part time while attending school, so pet care would be my primary responsibility for my weekly routine. I have a lab named Luna who loves to meet new friends if your pet needs a playmate when you are away. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
