About: I started pet and house sitting in 2015 and have loved caring for furry, feathered, and even scale-y friends ever since. As a farm kid through and through, I'm comfortable with animals of all shapes and sizes and have experience caring for nearly every type of pet you can imagine. I don't shy away from big animals (or big messes!) I recently completed my graduate degree and became a nationally certified Physician Assistant. While my training is in human medicine, I have experience caring for pets with complex medical needs, including administering injections, medications, and subcutaneous fluids. I understand how important it is to have someone reliable and attentive caring for your pets, especially when they require extra support. At home, I share my life with two cats, Winston and Franklin, one of whom is an FIP survivor. That experience has given me a firsthand appreciation for the trust pet owners place in their caregivers and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your pets are in capable hands. If you're looking for a responsible, dependable professional to keep your pets happy, healthy, and loved while you're away, I'd be honored to help. Having recently completed graduate school, I currently have a very flexible schedule and can devote substantial time to caring for your pets. This allows me to provide attentive, personalized care and maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible. While I am currently unable to board pets, I am happy to provide care in the environment where your pet is most comfortable- their own home! I strive to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of companionship. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would my own, and I understand the trust involved in leaving both your pets and your home in someone else's hands. My goal is to ensure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, so you can travel with peace of mind.

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, including my 3-year-old Goldendoodle and 8-year-old Golden Retriever. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and giving both energetic and senior dogs the attention they need. I’m flexible and able to work around most schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and overnight stays with advance notice, and I’ll always communicate clearly to confirm timing before each booking. When your pet is with me, you can expect consistent care, attention, and safety, including walks, playtime, feeding, and water checks exactly as instructed, along with a calm and patient approach for all dog personalities and energy levels. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing, and I treat every dog like family. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority at all times. Dana is a wonderful caring person. Granted she is taking care of my easy, laid back fur baby but he likes her and that’s important. She is dependable and listens to any special instructions I might have. She is also flexible with her calendar and scheduling changes. I would highly recommend Dana and will continue to use her services as needed.

About: Growing up my Grandparents were AKC German shepherd and Cocker spaniel breeders. I've been helping groom, care for and raise dogs since I learned not to eat the dog food lol. I worked at an animal hospital for a few years as a receptionist and enjoyed shadowing in all areas of the hospital including the boarding facility. I have experience with reactive dogs and am fairly good at reading body language. I say fairly good because all dogs have their own cues that can be more or less noticeable than others. I am proficient at giving medicine when needed whether injection, pills, or liquid as well. I have two children whom I homeschool and may occasionally need to bring them with me. They are well behaved and know to never mess with someone's things and how to interact with animals and respect their space and take their lead if they are playing with them. If this is a problem just let me know and the needed arrangements will be made. I do not watch in my own home as we have a small home. I am happy to come to your home and follow all instructions on how your pet is to be cared for.

About: I grew up with having a dog around the house, so I have always loved being around pets. The last two summers I have pet sat for families while they were on vacation. Some of the dogs I have taken care of have had medical needs, so I am able to give dogs medication if needed. I have taken care of big and small dogs. I look forward to working and taking care of your pet! During the summer I have more availability outside of when I am on vacation. For house sitting services, I am happy to provide overnight care for your pet. There will be times I will leave the home to run errands, go to work, family time and etc. But I will make sure that your pet’s routine is kept in tact and that they get all the snuggles and love they need. I am a full time teacher so once the school year starts my availability will change. I will not be able to provide pet care in my home. But I can provide pet care in a clients home. I am able to provide walks, feed your pet, provide snuggles, and medication if needed. I will ensure the client home stays clean if I am booked for overnight pet care. If it is too hot outside I may limit the time for the walk. I will also bring a water bottle with a bowl to make sure your dog does not overheat.

About: For the past 4 years, I’ve provided loving, dependable care for cats, dogs, and birds through overnight stays, drop-in visits, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and walks. Cats are my specialty! I’m very experienced with feline behavior, shy cats and multi-cat households. I love making pets feel calm and comfortable while their owners are away. I also have experience caring for dogs with different energy levels and routines, including daily walks, companionship, and overnight care. In addition, I have hands on experience with tropical birds and understand the importance of patience, consistency and attention to detail when caring for exotic pets. What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give every animal! I take my time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and comfort needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I am reliable, communicative, and committed to making pet parents feel confident while they’re away through regular updates and attentive care. I am currently a part-time worker at a local pharmacy and a Full-Time college student looking to make extra money while doing what I love. I am free at least 3-4 days a week, the more notice the better I can work around your preferred schedule. My preference is afternoons, however if mornings or nights are needed I can accommodate! I am more free during week days but can make time on weekends around my work schedule as I typically only work 5-6 hour shifts. I currently can not offer my personal living quarters for care, however I am able to travel up to 40 miles to stay with or check on pets. If you are in need of someone urgently and live outside a 40 mile radius please message me directly and I may be able to still work with you! I will walk, feed, stay with, play with and care for various cats and dog breeds! I also have experience with tropical birds and fish if need be. I will clean up after all animals and leave your home tidy and neat, as well as provide updates at your desired time span i.e (Daily, Hourly, Etc.).

About: I've been around animals my entire life, and caring for dogs has always been something I genuinely enjoy. When I was younger, I had the opportunity to work alongside a family friend who owned a dog walking business in the Chicago area. That experience taught me the importance of building trust with every dog, understanding their individual personalities, and making sure they felt safe and comfortable while away from their owners. Today, I'm the proud owner of two Golden Retrievers, River and Willow, who have given me hands-on experience with every stage of dog ownership. From puppy training and daily exercise to grooming, administering basic care, and maintaining consistent routines, I've learned how important patience, structure, and positive reinforcement are. I've also cared for litters of puppies, giving me experience with newborn and young dogs as well. Whether your dog loves long walks, energetic playtime, or simply wants someone calm and dependable to keep them company, I'll treat them with the same level of care, attention, and affection that I give my own dogs. When your dog stays with me, they'll be treated like one of my own. They'll have plenty of supervised playtime, lots of attention, and access to my large, fully fenced backyard to safely run, explore, and burn off energy. My goal is to create a fun, stress-free environment where every dog feels comfortable, loved, and excited to come back. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to every pet I care for. Since I already have two active Golden Retrievers, daily walks, exercise, playtime, and maintaining routines are already a big part of my life. I understand how important consistency is for dogs, so I work to keep them on their normal schedule as much as possible, whether that's feeding times, walks, potty breaks, or simply giving them attention and companionship. I pride myself on being dependable, responsive, and making sure every pet receives individualized care. Safety and trust are my top priorities with every pet I care for. I take the time to learn each dog's personality, routine, and any special needs so they feel comfortable and secure from the moment we meet. Whether I'm caring for your dog in your home or mine, I follow your instructions closely and make it a priority to keep their routine as consistent as possible. One of the biggest advantages I offer is a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs have plenty of room to safely run, play, explore, and burn off energy. My own Golden Retrievers, River and Willow, absolutely love spending time outside, and I know how important it is for active dogs to have a safe space to exercise. Of course, all outdoor time is supervised, and I always make sure every dog is comfortable and introduced appropriately. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both your home and your pet with the same level of respect and care that I would expect for my own. I provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and receiving plenty of love and attention while you're away.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Growing up with six family dogs, I gained experience with all kinds of personalities, ages, and needs. Recently, I helped care for three of my senior dogs through their later years, teaching me the importance of patience and attentiveness. I’ve been dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since elementary school and have been caring for pets through Rover since high school. I also have volunteer experience with animal shelters and am comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Dogs truly feel like family to me, and I treat every pet I care for with the same love and attention I would give my own. I currently have a very flexible schedule while studying for my North Carolina real estate license, so I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays on YOUR schedule. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! I recently graduated and am focused on studying for my real estate exam right now, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I’m more than happy to accommodate to your dog’s regular routine. I will not be able to bring dogs into my residence but will gladly take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home and outdoor spaces.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
