“Eden was so helpful while we traveled for a long trip. She was punctual and gave thoughtful updates with the sweetest photos. She balanced the needs of our almost 14 year old dog and puppy. I did not need to worry because I knew they were in great hands!”

“Thank you so much for caring for my fur babies and even willing to step in during a short notice emergency that worked out. I could not ask for better walkers.”

“Thank you! This couldn't have gone better. We have been on such a long journey to get him to where he can be alone for extended periods of time and he finally did it! Thank you for all your help for all this time!”

“Kendall knocked it out of the park with her top-notch care for Zeus. She kept me in the loop with regular updates, which allowed me to focus on my trip instead of worrying about my dog. She didn't just meet my expectations; she went above and beyond, making sure that Zeus was not just looked after, but well cared for. It was more like leaving Zeus with a good buddy than just a pet sitter. For anyone in need of a solid, reliable pet sitter who knows their stuff and communicates effectively, Kendall's your person. Trust me, you won't regret it. Zeus and I are already looking forward to the next time she's available.”

“Kim was great with my 2 dogs. My rescue is a PIA which makes it hard to find someone to sit them but Kim was so good with him! She was punctual, followed my instructions & was great with communicating & sending cards & pics which is always so reassuring. It's so comforting to know your pets are being cared for when you're away & can't take them. Will definitely be using Kim again when the time comes!”
“Chelsea was flexible, asked all the questions to assure me she would be responsible in caring for my pet, provided GREAT notes on visits and was super responsive. Will definitely keep her in mind for my next out if town.”

About: I grew up with having a dog around the house, so I have always loved being around pets. The last two summers I have pet sat for families while they were on vacation. Some of the dogs I have taken care of have had medical needs, so I am able to give dogs medication if needed. I have taken care of big and small dogs. I look forward to working and taking care of your pet! During the summer I have more availability outside of when I am on vacation. For house sitting services, I am happy to provide overnight care for your pet. There will be times I will leave the home to run errands, go to work, family time and etc. But I will make sure that your pet’s routine is kept in tact and that they get all the snuggles and love they need. I am a full time teacher so once the school year starts my availability will change. I will not be able to provide pet care in my home. But I can provide pet care in a clients home. I am able to provide walks, feed your pet, provide snuggles, and medication if needed. I will ensure the client home stays clean if I am booked for overnight pet care. If it is too hot outside I may limit the time for the walk. I will also bring a water bottle with a bowl to make sure your dog does not overheat.
“Nadezhda was an absolute angel! She has watched my little Sebastian a few times and everytime she has been so amazing. Great communication- always sends pics of my sweet boy and his food. She even went by my apt to check and see if my wet food had been delivered and unboxed and put in my fridge! She is so easy to work with and so kind. I would recommend her 10/10 to anyone!”

“Cristal went above and beyond repeatedly for my boys. I have two senior large breed dogs, and they’re a lot. One has ivdd and has eaten 90% of his tail and repeatedly tries to get to it to chew more off, as well as some GI issues right now and Cristal expressed so much concern and care for his wellbeing while I attended my brothers wedding. She did such a good job that my girlfriend was jealous that she was taking care of the dogs and not her haha, silly I know. But I could not recommend anyone more than I would Cristal. An exceptional human being and incredibly caring pet sitter.”

“Anna was so sweet and incredibly easy to communicate with! We weren't able to meet ahead of time, but she was so patient while our pup took some time to get comfortable with her. She sent plenty of photos which gave us so much peace of mind even though it was just a drop-in. We really appreciated the great care she gave our dog and will absolutely book with her again!”

“Claire was great! We had a last minute need for a sitter for our kitty, and she couldn’t have been more gracious and helpful. She took great care of our kitty and even went the extra mile by taking out our trash on trash day. We had peace of mind while we were away because our kitty was in excellent hands!”

About: I have experience with both large and small dogs. I lived with an adorable beagle from the age of six until I moved away for college and he was my best friend. My sister has a husky who I adore and a girl with the sweetest pitbull was my roommate for about a year. I enjoy being around all kinds of animals and I especially love dogs because of their playful and friendly nature. I have often helped to feed and walk my family's dogs since leaving home and I hope to adopt a dog or two of my own someday soon because they bring me so much joy. I promise to take the best care of all my client's animals and keep them company while their parents are away. I am a recent college graduate searching for a full time job and hoping to be a pet sitter until I find a steady opportunity. That means I currently have very open availability! I am open to scheduling walks and drop-in visits anytime between 9am and 6pm during the week while having weekends off to relax and spend time with my family. I am only offering care in my clients' homes and neighborhoods at this time. I will treat your home and pets with care and respect as if they were my own. I will be sure to clean up any messes and leave everything just as I found it at the end of my visit. I will follow your care instructions, send photo updates, and call or text with any questions I may have.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
