About: I had dogs growing up and got our own rescue dog 6 years ago. I prefer older dogs who like a quiet home. I understand dogs that every dog has their own quirks and embrace that. I work from home so am always around minus trips to the gym or errands. Morning breakfast, several potty breaks. Dinner at anytime that suits the pup. I have a 10 year old grumpy rat terrier/chi mix. He seems scary at first but once we can sniff another dog he calms down and coexists with other calm dogs just fine.

About: I am retired, have trained and shown dogs for over fifty years, live in a condo with one sheltie and one cat. I like to sit ONE dog at a time so it can have special one on one attention. Special arrangements can be made with two dogs that are from the same family. My floors are tile and I sterilize them between visits. I do NOT have a fenced yard but we have a 20 x 80 fenced dog run right outside my back door and we walk every two to three hours and once during the night. Since I am retired, I can be with your dog 24/7 with small exceptions. The dogs are allowed on the furniture and in the bed. I do insist that dogs be house trained and crate trained since we feed in crates or crate them if I have to be away. If you want personal care and attention for your dog, we would love to supply that service. We do NOT do meet and greets. We find that those brief encounters simply put stress on my dogs and yours. I take about an hour when a dog has arrived to acclimate him safely and comfortably. I only care for small dogs, under 30 pounds, and no puppies. Since I am retired, my schedule is pretty much staying around the house. There are no children and things are pretty quiet most of the time. I’m flexible and organized, so I can adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s needs while keeping everything running smoothly. “I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress free. In a client’s or even in my own home, I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, clean spaces, and plenty of attention, playtime, or walks depending on their needs. I’m very respectful of each home and focus on giving pets consistent, loving care so they feel safe while their owners are away.

It was obvious by his tail wags how happy he was to be back! Anamika and her family make sure to take care of Asher just as they would their own doodle. I can go out of town and know for sure he’s being loved the way we would. There’s no one else I’d trust to take care of him while we’re away!”
