About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience from working at a doggy daycare. I have a dog of my own and regularly care for my family’s pets, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own! I am a teacher and I am currently enjoying my summer off. I have tons of time to come play and care for your pets! I care for pets with a mix of love, attention, and routine. At home or at a client’s home, I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable by sticking to their usual schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime. I always give lots of affection, keep their space clean, and pay close attention to their behavior to make sure they’re happy and healthy. Every pet is unique, and I do my best to meet their individual needs with patience and care!

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, including my 3-year-old Goldendoodle and 8-year-old Golden Retriever. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and giving both energetic and senior dogs the attention they need. I’m flexible and able to work around most schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and overnight stays with advance notice, and I’ll always communicate clearly to confirm timing before each booking. When your pet is with me, you can expect consistent care, attention, and safety, including walks, playtime, feeding, and water checks exactly as instructed, along with a calm and patient approach for all dog personalities and energy levels. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing, and I treat every dog like family. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority at all times. I’m attentive to each dog’s behavior and needs to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable, whether they’re energetic or more laid-back. I also keep a clean environment and make sure pets are always in a safe space during visits or stays.

About: I grew up with having a dog around the house, so I have always loved being around pets. The last two summers I have pet sat for families while they were on vacation. Some of the dogs I have taken care of have had medical needs, so I am able to give dogs medication if needed. I have taken care of big and small dogs. I look forward to working and taking care of your pet! During the summer I have more availability outside of when I am on vacation. For house sitting services, I am happy to provide overnight care for your pet. There will be times I will leave the home to run errands, go to work, family time and etc. But I will make sure that your pet’s routine is kept in tact and that they get all the snuggles and love they need. I am a full time teacher so once the school year starts my availability will change. I will not be able to provide pet care in my home. But I can provide pet care in a clients home. I am able to provide walks, feed your pet, provide snuggles, and medication if needed. I will ensure the client home stays clean if I am booked for overnight pet care. If it is too hot outside I may limit the time for the walk. I will also bring a water bottle with a bowl to make sure your dog does not overheat.

Tatiana stayed with our dogs for a few days while we were out of town and she did an amazing job! We have an adult rescue with anxiety and a rambunctious puppy, and she handled them wonderfully. She communicated quickly, did all the puppy-proofing things to keep him from destroying things, and left the house in perfect shape. We'll definitely hire her again.

Our whole family loves Victoria, especially Harlow and Aspen! She has been so helpful, communicative, professional, and loving with our boys. Even Harlow who can be a bit shy warmed up to her and loves when she visits. From walks, to indoor games, cuddles, training, and plenty of enrichment, Victoria was an incredible sitter. Seriously, you will not find a better person to take care of your fur babies. She’s THE BEST.

About: I’ve always been around animals and have worked professionally in dog and cat daycare and boarding. I love getting to know and taking care of people’s greatest companions! I have experience home sitting and daily drop in care. I also have experience administering medicines. I look forward to getting to know your furry family! Im currently a college student and have a part time job, both of which are very flexible and easy to work around. Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m generally unavailable from 10-11:30 am but am free beyond that! I’m more than willing and able to work around each of our schedules to make something work! I am happy to meet your pet where they are most comfortable in their own home, this tends to help the shyest of pets warm up to me so I can take the best care of them possible. If available, I also love having an initial meeting with you to go over your pets details and meet them while their safe person is still present! However, I’m also comfortable meeting them on my own if that is what works for your schedule. Your fur friends comfort and safety is my biggest priority!

FANTASTIC! Wonderful personality and my kitties and Lovebird just adored her! We were just gone overnight, but she stayed with them, sent us picks and updates, and even threw my comforter in the washer when our little girl threw up on it, which she didn’t have to do! I truly couldn’t recommend her more and we will definitely hire her again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Midland

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Midland on Rover is $29.93 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,815 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Midland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Midland walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Midland maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Midland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Midland. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
