About: I grew up around animals and have taken care of them as well. I help my friend with foster cats. I have experience with bottle feeding kittens and puppies. I'm currently currently unemployed so I'm currently available at any and all times. I can walk dogs, brush cats and dogs if needed. I can play with the pets as well to help keep them active and happy. I'm currently unemployed, keeping me available all the time. I do internship at a stables in the mornings, the timings vary. I'm available on the weekends too and can do overnights if needed. I make it my top priority to make sure all pets are safe, feel trusted, and comfortable. I will do whatever means necessary to provide safety and comfort to your furbabies.
“Jessye loved my boy so well! I got consistent updates and pictures of them playing, snuggling, and being outside. She was attentive and made Jax happy and comfortable. I would recommend Jessye to everyone!!! She kept the house so clean! Jax was loving her!!!”

“Thank you so much for caring and taking care of our cats!!! I really appreciate you caring about their safety and wellbeing as much as we do, and I genuinely appreciate all of the communications and pictures. We will definitely use you again!”

“I was dreading leaving Sophie for 7 whole days, but she did great with Caitlin! Sophie is an older kitty with IBD and has a particular schedule to follow to keep her stable, which makes me nervous to leave her. I’m so thankful Caitlin was willing to care for her, and also able to stay with her at night, as Sophie hates being alone. It really put my mind at ease knowing someone was there! Thanks again :)”

“Melanie and Taylor exceeded my expectations for my first experience with a pet and house sitter in many years. I tend to be quite neurotic about my fur babies and rarely leave them behind, but to say they were well cared for is an understatement. Melanie was the main caregiver this week, and her communication with me never made me worry or feel uneasy while we were away. My three little ones can be quite the handful, but she helped ease any stress by sending extremely detailed updates throughout the day with lots of photos. It was so wonderful! I will not hesitate to call on this lovely team of caring individuals again in the future! ♥️”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a little girl. I have experience bathing them, feeding them and walking them. I enjoy going for walks around the community so this would not be a problem. I have two children ages 8 and 9 and they would enjoy spending time with your dog(s). I was a teacher by training but now work from home and am flexible. I am originally from Boston, MA and relocated to Charlotte, NC in 2018. I live in the Pineville area and although I would have no problem meeting you in your home, it would be better to meet me instead. I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s) or cat(s). I currently work from from home so walking your dog every 3-4 hours is feasible with my schedule. I look forward to meeting your fury friend! I can also provide basic grooming such as a bath or brushing if needed for an additional fee. I look forward to caring for your fur baby!
“Amanda was an excellent house sitter! She was flexible with times, sent photos of how the dogs were doing and left the house perfectly like when she found it. The dogs enjoyed her company, and she was meticulous in giving medications. We are so happy to have found such a great sitter.”

“Breana did a great job house sitting for our animals. The animals were well taken care of and she left our house neater than she found it. I also really appreciated the daily updates and photos she sent.”

About: I’ve always had pets, and started volunteering with a vet at 14 and continued until I left for college. For a time I worked as a ranch hand taking care of 8+ horses and a menagerie of other animals. I am also a fully trained dog groomer and currently work as a veterinary assistant. I am comfortable with my canine friends of all shapes, sizes, and life stages, including those with special needs including medication administration. I currently work 4 days weekly in Mount Pleasant, NC from 7:30am - 5:30pm with a one hour break mid-day and weekends off. My schedule allows me to see your pet at least twice daily (or up to three times depending on distance from my place of employment). I take care to establish a personal relationship with every pet that I meet. Every dog, cat, or fish have their own distinct personality and the better I know them, the more personalized care I can provide. I can feed, water, clean up after pets, administer medication, walk, groom (for an extra fee), and even work on any set training that you would like kept up. My biggest priority is keeping you and your pet happy and healthy.
“Rachel is great with my dog Chance! We live out of town but visit Charlotte on occasion. She is my go to when im in charlotte. The first time I needed a caregiver for my furbaby, Rachel did a meet and greet. Chance loved her. She came by my hotel and gave Chance his dinner and evening walk while I was out enjoying Charlotte that week. she sent pictures of Chance on his walk-he looked happy. This time Chance and I needed her services for a 10 hour day. I knew Chance was well cared for. I trust Rachel with my Chance, my hotel room key, keeping a schedule, etc. Highly recommend Rachel!”

“Veronica did a fantastic job watching my two dogs. She sent videos and pictures and it was obvious my dogs love her! She also kept the house clean and brought in our mail. I will definitely be using her again to pet sit!”

About: Hi, I’m Anneliese! As a dog owner for over 13 years, I know firsthand that pets are truly family. I understand that every single pet has their own unique personality, quirks, and routine, and I pride myself on taking the time to truly understand what makes your furry friend feel safe and happy. Whether it’s matching the high energy of a spirited small dog, respecting the independent boundaries of a cat, or maintaining the peaceful routine of a senior pet, I’m here to provide dedicated, personalized care. I’ll treat your home with total respect and your pets like my own! My schedule is perfectly suited for house and pet sitting. I am a full-time student taking online classes, which means my 'desk' moves wherever I go! I’m highly flexible and will be spending most of my day right alongside your pet, keeping them company while I study. Your pet gets a dedicated buddy, and you get peace of mind knowing their routine won't be disrupted. To ensure the absolute best experience for your pet, I exclusively offer house sitting and pet care inside your home. At my own home, I have a happy family of four cats and one dog, so I know firsthand how stressful a crowded or unfamiliar environment can be for animals! By coming to your home, I ensure your pet gets to stay in their safe, comfortable haven with 100% of my undivided attention. My personal 'zoo' has taught me that every single animal has a distinct personality, boundary, and set of needs. I will treat your home with the utmoste respect while following your exact routine for feeding, playtime, and safety. Because my college classes are mostly online, I will be around your house for most of the day, keeping your pet company and sending you plenty of photo updates!
“She was amazing. She was in time stayed and did everything we asked. She took pictures everyday and gave us updates. By far one of the best on the site. Will be using her again”

“Lydia took wonderful care of my two dogs while staying with them over the weekend. From the moment we met her, it was clear that she genuinely loves animals. She followed their schedules and routines perfectly, spent plenty of time playing with them, and made sure they felt comfortable, happy, and loved while I was away. Knowing my dogs were in such caring and capable hands gave me complete peace of mind. When I returned home, they were relaxed, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed their time with her. I am so grateful for the pictures and videos she sent and the attention and affection she gave them. I would wholeheartedly recommend Lydia to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and compassionate dog sitter.”

About: For the past 4 years, I’ve provided loving, dependable care for cats, dogs, and birds through overnight stays, drop-in visits, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and walks. Cats are my specialty! I’m very experienced with feline behavior, shy cats and multi-cat households. I love making pets feel calm and comfortable while their owners are away. I also have experience caring for dogs with different energy levels and routines, including daily walks, companionship, and overnight care. In addition, I have hands on experience with tropical birds and understand the importance of patience, consistency and attention to detail when caring for exotic pets. What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give every animal! I take my time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and comfort needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I am reliable, communicative, and committed to making pet parents feel confident while they’re away through regular updates and attentive care. I am currently a part-time worker at a local pharmacy and a Full-Time college student looking to make extra money while doing what I love. I am free at least 3-4 days a week, the more notice the better I can work around your preferred schedule. My preference is afternoons, however if mornings or nights are needed I can accommodate! I am more free during week days but can make time on weekends around my work schedule as I typically only work 5-6 hour shifts. I currently can not offer my personal living quarters for care, however I am able to travel up to 40 miles to stay with or check on pets. If you are in need of someone urgently and live outside a 40 mile radius please message me directly and I may be able to still work with you! I will walk, feed, stay with, play with and care for various cats and dog breeds! I also have experience with tropical birds and fish if need be. I will clean up after all animals and leave your home tidy and neat, as well as provide updates at your desired time span i.e (Daily, Hourly, Etc.).
About: I have always been an animal lover, and a vegetarian because of that since I was 10 years old. While I do not have any pets of my own at this time, due to my job, I always get so excited and happy when I see and can be around animals of all kinds. I have been to cat cafes, several farms to pet the animals, and only attend zoos/wildlife sanctuaries that take in animals that have been injured and/or can’t survive in their natural habitat anymore. I’m a flight attendant who works 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. When I’m off, I’m home for the full 2 weeks and will have plenty of time to pet sit for those days. While I do not have any pets of my own due to my job, I thrive in being around animals and pets of all kinds. I treat animals like my own and put as much care into their needs as I would my own pet.
“Booked with Cameron for an evening away. He was very good with my three pups. He sent photos and asked questions that evening if he was unsure of something rather than assuming or guessing. I will be booking with Cameron again for longer trips away in the future.”

About: I started pet and house sitting in 2015 and have loved caring for furry, feathered, and even scale-y friends ever since. As a farm kid through and through, I'm comfortable with animals of all shapes and sizes and have experience caring for nearly every type of pet you can imagine. I don't shy away from big animals (or big messes!) I recently completed my graduate degree and became a nationally certified Physician Assistant. While my training is in human medicine, I have experience caring for pets with complex medical needs, including administering injections, medications, and subcutaneous fluids. I understand how important it is to have someone reliable and attentive caring for your pets, especially when they require extra support. At home, I share my life with two cats, Winston and Franklin, one of whom is an FIP survivor. That experience has given me a firsthand appreciation for the trust pet owners place in their caregivers and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your pets are in capable hands. If you're looking for a responsible, dependable professional to keep your pets happy, healthy, and loved while you're away, I'd be honored to help. Having recently completed graduate school, I currently have a very flexible schedule and can devote substantial time to caring for your pets. This allows me to provide attentive, personalized care and maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible. While I am currently unable to board pets, I am happy to provide care in the environment where your pet is most comfortable- their own home! I strive to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of companionship. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would my own, and I understand the trust involved in leaving both your pets and your home in someone else's hands. My goal is to ensure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, so you can travel with peace of mind.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mount Pleasant walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mount Pleasant maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mount Pleasant choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
