About: I’ve always had pets, and started volunteering with a vet at 14 and continued until I left for college. For a time I worked as a ranch hand taking care of 8+ horses and a menagerie of other animals. I am also a fully trained dog groomer and currently work as a veterinary assistant. I am comfortable with my canine friends of all shapes, sizes, and life stages, including those with special needs including medication administration. I currently work 4 days weekly in Mount Pleasant, NC from 7:30am - 5:30pm with a one hour break mid-day and weekends off. My schedule allows me to see your pet at least twice daily (or up to three times depending on distance from my place of employment). I take care to establish a personal relationship with every pet that I meet. Every dog, cat, or fish have their own distinct personality and the better I know them, the more personalized care I can provide. I can feed, water, clean up after pets, administer medication, walk, groom (for an extra fee), and even work on any set training that you would like kept up. My biggest priority is keeping you and your pet happy and healthy.

About: I love all animals, but dogs most of all. I grew up around larger breeds - my parents had pit bulls, boxers, and German shepherds. In my adult life, I've had mostly shar-pei and beagles. I currently have four rescued beagle mixes, as well as three cats. My pets are like my children, and I believe everyone's babies deserve to be treated as well as I treat mine! My purpose in life is helping as many dogs as I can to live their best life. That help comes in different forms - I network, foster, and transport with local rescues, and pet sit for a few friends. I'm also a former trainer with a large pet store. The best part of my workday was getting to see all the dogs that come in the store each day. Whether I encountered them as students or casual customers, I always did my best to make sure the dogs always left with the best products and advice for their health and happiness. I also volunteered and was hired to work at Stanly County Animal Protective Services, and was responsible for the day to day care of all the animals in the shelter - including feeding, walking, socializing, and providing any medications needed. Helping a dog to be more comfortable in the sometimes stressful shelter environment was always my main goal. Unfortunately, I had to leave the job due to health reasons. I'm no longer able to work full time, so sitting and walking with Rover seems like the perfect part time job for me! If I can cause a tail to wag, I consider it a good day. 🐾 I'm currently hoping to find work a few days a week, walking dogs or keeping them company in the afternoons primarily. Weekdays are when I'm most available, but I would be happy to discuss occasional nights or weekends if that's what you need! If you need to go out of town and can't take your furry friends with you, I'm also able to do multiple check-ins per day, or even stay in your home with your pets if you wish. Your rules are my rules! I will care for your pets in whatever way you tell me they're used to. They will eat, walk, etc on the schedule you have them on. If you don't have a fenced yard, I'll never take them outside without a leash, and only walk on your approved routes. If you have any off limits areas in your house, I will ensure they don't have access to them. Any medications will be administered promptly on their existing schedule. I want your dog to feel like you're there, even when you're not!

About: For the past 4 years, I’ve provided loving, dependable care for cats, dogs, and birds through overnight stays, drop-in visits, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and walks. Cats are my specialty! I’m very experienced with feline behavior, shy cats and multi-cat households. I love making pets feel calm and comfortable while their owners are away. I also have experience caring for dogs with different energy levels and routines, including daily walks, companionship, and overnight care. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life from my own pets to pets of friends and family, which includes being responsible for them from time to time. I’ve even had prior experience staying overnight and caring for animals that include dogs, cats, and chickens. I am a full time student in law school so my schedule depends on my classes and my school obligations for the week. It was nice seeing our dogs snuggling up with her looking comfortable and relaxed. One of our pups was having some allergy issues while we were away. We received pics pretty quickly when she started looking a little rashy and asking us to confirm how we wanted her to handle it (as we had discussed before the trip). About: I grew up with having a dog around the house, so I have always loved being around pets. The last two summers I have pet sat for families while they were on vacation. Some of the dogs I have taken care of have had medical needs, so I am able to give dogs medication if needed. I have taken care of big and small dogs. I look forward to working and taking care of your pet! During the summer I have more availability outside of when I am on vacation. For house sitting services, I am happy to provide overnight care for your pet. There will be times I will leave the home to run errands, go to work, family time and etc. But I will make sure that your pet’s routine is kept in tact and that they get all the snuggles and love they need. I am a full time teacher so once the school year starts my availability will change. I will not be able to provide pet care in my home. But I can provide pet care in a clients home. I am able to provide walks, feed your pet, provide snuggles, and medication if needed. I will ensure the client home stays clean if I am booked for overnight pet care. If it is too hot outside I may limit the time for the walk. I will also bring a water bottle with a bowl to make sure your dog does not overheat.
