“Julie is FABULOUS! She offered to do a Meet & Greet beforehand which I loved. She is super sweet and our foster pup immediately took to her! (He even tried to follow her out the door as she left.) She took excellent care of him, and I have no doubt she treats all her clients like her own. If we need someone again- Julie will be our go-to!”

“Dennise was a joy to work with. Our plans were a bit up in the air and Dennise was so easy to work with and accommodating with our ever changing schedule. I highly recommend her services.”

“Olivia was an absolute dream. She was so sweet and caring with my 2 fur babies. She was prompt and compassionate. The girls loved her. I highly recommend her to take care of your fur babies. We loved her!”

“Lauren was absolutely wonderful with Kash! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for her like she was her own. Kash took to her right away, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. Lauren made sure Kash got her walks, attention, and care, and everything went smoothly. I will definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter or dog walker!”

“Logan was prompt and professional at booking and he was respectful and kind when picking up and dropping off our dog. We enjoyed having his help and look forward to using him for walks in the future. Highly recommend!”

“I was new to Rover and nervous about someone walking my girls while I was at work. I’ve had an amazing experience with Chris, my pups LOVE her, she takes great care of them, and she’s very communicative. So glad we found her 🤍”

About: I was gifted a dog when I was younger that I grew up caring for up until she was older. Caring for her included washing, taking her to the groomers, and ensuring she had the best food and many toys to play with. At the end of the day, she was my dog and my responsibility to care for. I have always hung around pets due to my grandparents having dogs and my aunt & uncles owning cats & dogs. My friend has a cat that I will sometimes cat-sit when she is out of town. I currently am a student and have a mixture of online and in-person classes. So, when I am not at school I am studying, and I'm at home. I currently do not have any other job commitments at the moment. Caring for pets is essential for their well-being. I always ensure that my space brings a piece of comfort, safety, and playfulness. I will ensure they have plenty of potty breaks and walks to ensure no accidents and give them time to get their energy out before the night is over. If medication is needed, it is my essential duty to be on top of giving your pet the correct dose & at the correct time.
About: My step-dad is a vet and I worked with him at the animal hospital from ages 11 to 26. We have a 66lb Berniedoodle (Preemo) and a cat (Guru). We have a big yard to play with dogs outside. It’s not fenced so dogs only go outside when supervised. I also trained aggressive dogs in the mountains of Mexico (Guanajuato) so they could get adopted instead of put down. I work during the day Mon-Fri and my wife mainly works from home so our pets aren’t rarely alone. I prefer to spend all day outside or at the park so dogs will get plenty of exercise. Our dog and cat love each other and everyone they’ve ever met. Our house is big and we have a lot of property to play fetch and run around.
About: I have a wide range of pet sitting experience, from house sitting a small senior dog to walking a huge dog with lots of energy! I have a lot of free time in May and would love to take care of some pets! Availability is wide range and I don't mind last minute requests. I care for pets in their home by meeting their needs with exceptional care and attention to detail. I can evaluate how the pet is responding to me and whether they want space or cuddles.
About: The services I offer are dog walks and check ins. I am currently 26 years old and graduated from UNCC in May of 2022. I have always loved animals ever since I was a little girl. I started caring for family and friends animals when I was 12 years old and will often help out friends and family when they need me to. What sets me apart from other sitters and walkers is that I will take the time to love and care for your animal like it was my own. I always try to go above and beyond whatever my task is. I hope to one day be able to care and love your animal as if you were there. I work full time during the week but I am free all day during the weekends. I would be able to provide walks and daily care for your pet. I have two cats and one dog who are very loving to all humans and animals . I want your pet to feel comfortable while you are away.
“Sam is a dog charmer! She can easily handle a large difficult dog. My dog showed aggressive behavior towards her when they first met. Sam was so patient and sweet, my dog fell in love with her.”

About: My family has had dogs for 14 years and I've personally cared for my cat, Delilah, for 13 years. Throughout high school I regularly pet sat for family and friends, and today I'm the go-to sitter for my sister's cat and fish on an ongoing basis. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take pride in making sure animals feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I work a flexible schedule from home, which means I have plenty of availability throughout the week for walks and drop-in visits. I can accommodate morning, midday, and afternoon visits on most days, and I'm available for house sitting when owners are traveling. I'm reliable, communicative, and will always confirm scheduling details in advance so you never have to worry. I provide care in your pet's own home, which means they get to stay in the environment they know and love, no stress of a new place. I'm attentive to each pet's individual routine, dietary needs, and personality. I have 13 years of experience caring for my own senior cat, so I'm especially comfortable with pets that require extra attention or gentle handling. I always send updates and photos so you feel connected even when you're away.
About: I am an energized individual who enjoys runs and walks! I will frequently walk your pup/dog, show affection, attention, and play around! I used to have a dog for 7 years and I trained her, gave her bathes, took her on hikes/walks/runs, and cleaned after her. I’m a playful individual when it comes to animals and I enjoy being around them. Their energy and happiness is contagious. I’m very flexible with time as I work from home. I currently work remotely and am able to give your pet all the attention it needs! I’m an affectionate and energetic individual. I am able to take breaks throughout the days to give your dog walks or to just play around with your fur baby. I also have a fenced backyard. My puppy runs around all of the time. We do have a pool that is not fenced in. I have a fenced backyard but I do have a pool that is not fenced in. I can also walk your dog multiple times a day as I work from home. I also have a 9 month old puppy who is super playful.

“Halle has walked our dog several times. She communicates well and takes our pup for nice long walks. I had some initial hesitance using any dog walking service because our dog is large, strong, and can act aggressively toward other dogs - but Halle has confidently worked with her and made accommodations as needed. Highly recommended!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Harrisburg
I can’t say enough about Rachel and the great job she did taking care of our sweet chocolate lab Mik. He has a lot of energy and she took him for a long beautiful walk in a park. From the start, you could see she made an immediate connection with Mik and that made us comfortable too. So grateful for her and the way she communicated through regular texts and pics! She is definitely our go-to and highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a caring, friendly, kind-hearted person who will listen to your pets (and your) needs!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
