“Amy has been a life saver and absolutely wonderful with Remi over the last few months! She is close by the house and checks in with my girl a few times a week while I’m at the office. So glad I found her profile! I would recommend her to anyone!”

“LeNai was absolutly incredible. She watched our two dogs, five chickens and two ducks for a week and took away Any stress I had about leaving them. She was punctual, professional, easy to work with and you can see the genuine love for animals as she has. I received pictures and updates daily!”

“Kim T. is such a kind and genuine person. I feel at ease knowing she is taking care of my fur-child when I am away. Kim is trustworthy and pays attention to detail, even notices when something seems off about your pet. She is wonderful and my dog loves her! ❤️”

“Thank you Teresa for taking such great care of my bunnies. I absolutely loved all the pictures and updates she sent me. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing they were well taken care of. I loved how detailed the updates were and all the questions she asked to take the best care possible for them. Excellent service and I would recommend Teresa to everyone needing care for their pets.”

“This was our second time using Claire to watch our senior kitty, Honey. She is professional, very understanding of Honey’s quirks, and even brought in our packages and returned our trash can after trash day. Despite Honey’s ‘catitude’, she continued to try to make her more comfortable and kept a close eye on her while we were out of the country for 10 days. It’s such a relief to have someone we can count on to watch our 18yo girl when we travel! Highly recommend!!”

“While we were on a business trip, Halle did a terrific job caring for our cat Henry. She is a fantastic cat sitter who is responsive, compassionate, and meticulous. Halle is absolutely someone we'll ask for assistance from again.”

“Chelsea was flexible, asked all the questions to assure me she would be responsible in caring for my pet, provided GREAT notes on visits and was super responsive. Will definitely keep her in mind for my next out if town.”

“Anna was great- so communicative and took great care of June with drop in visits at our home. It was so helpful to have someone who was proactive with communication, letting me know exactly how each visit went so I didn’t have to ask or worry! We will definitely use her again.”

“Cristal took great care of our two cats while we were away. She’s consistent and compassionate, and we particularly liked the level of detail she included in the check-in cards. She clearly has a lot of experience with and love for animals!”

“Shin was amazing with both of my pups and super communicative throughout the entire process from booking to pet walks! I would highly recommend her services and use her again!”

“This was the first vacation where I felt comfortable leaving my pets! We really appreciate how much attention Elizabeth put into caring for our dog. She left great feedback about our her condition throughout the day and communicated any concerns she had immediately. My dog LOVES Elizabeth too! Halfway through our trip we began planning other ways Elizabeth could care for our dog in the future!”

“Thank you so much for caring for my fur babies and even willing to step in during a short notice emergency that worked out. I could not ask for better walkers.”

“Erica went above and beyond for my dogs. She took them in a long walk, hung out with them and was super attentive. She sent me pics and updates. We have already rebooked her for two other occasions. I high recommend her.”

“Jesse did drop-in visits twice a day for a week for my two cats while I was on vacation. He did an amazing job. He made sure that he had complete information on the cats and their routine at our meet and greet. The cats warmed up to him quickly. He did a thorough job of taking care of the cats, as well as looking after the house. His reports after each visit were complete and always included photos. Not having to worry about the cats or the house made my vacation even more enjoyable!”

“Highly recommend. I received pictures and a short note with every visit and a quick text with any additional questions through the visits. Alannah also was great in working with additional visits when we had a travel delay getting home. And the dogs seemed happy!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Allen. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
