About: My name is Grace and I am 25 years old. I graduated N.C. State University, majoring in Psychology and Biology. I am currently finishing grad school for Occupational Therapy. I have always loved all animals growing up and have been pet sitting since around 10 years old. I have done various sorts of petsitting from weeks of overnight stays to just swinging by the house to play with the dogs and take them out/feed them. About: I am a dog lover and empath with 2 rescue pitbulls of my own. They’re favorite cousin is a chihuahua. I’ve loved and taken care of large and small dogs for most of my life. I’m a true introverted home-body. I work from home and so my availability is very flexible. I generally only leave the home for a few hours at a time and/or for short evening/weekend socializing I’m very sensitive to a dog’s mood and natural anxieties and so I don’t take unnecessary risks. About: Kitties are the cutest and oh so smart! They demand respect and love at their own pace. Through the years I have fostered cats of all ages and I am fairly aware of their body language. About: I raised my Shih Tzu from 3 months up until I lost him to kidney disease on 9/11/2024. I walked him on a regular basis except rainy days (he hated getting wet lol), he was potty trained and free to roam the house while I was not home. Everyone ( family, friends, neighbors) knew how much I loved and cared for him. When he was in his last days from kidney failure, I stayed by his side until the end. I kept his routine the same. I pushed him in his stroller when he could not walk anymore. Administered him an IV daily to keep him hydrated when he barely ate and drank. I laid with him and held him until he let me know it was time for him to go to that Rainbow Bridge. As a newly retired person, I have plenty of time to give your furry friend(s) all the love, walks, and attention they need and deserve. About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me.
