“Words and gratitude cannot express my support and love for Carol. We just met Carol and her husband and her daughter. At first sight, Marley was in love with them. At our meeting greet, there was a piece of calmness, kindness, love the filled their home. Each and every picture that I received Marley was smiling and I saw how much love through those pictures. Carol was sharing with him. She deserves 1 billion stars and she is a rockstar with caring for Marley my puppy. She is just an amazing Pet Sitter. She has a beautiful spirit and a beautiful heart too and her family is so delightful and so amazing and loving too. I highly recommend Carol and her family!”

“Dennise was great with my senior pup. Very patient and accommodating. Pretty Boy was very comfortable with her. We will definitely be back for another stay!”

“Kim S. Did such a fantastic job boarding our baby for 10 nights! I couldn’t be happier with her service! Our Mozzie was so well cared for and had so much fun with her other pups I was worried he wouldn’t want to come home 😉 Thank you Kim for loving our boy while we were gone. He can’t wait for us to go on another trip so he can stay with you!”

“Bri and her family love our dog, Cooper. We had an almost two week trip and we knew that Cooper was in great hands. We're already planning our next booking!”

About: I have spent my whole life around dogs. My dad was a dog trainer in Alaska so I was able to learn a lot from him over the years. Since then my family has had our own dog which sadly passed away a year ago after 12 sweet years together. We have dog sat for friends and family over the years as our home makes a great space for dog sitting, but have not professionally dog sat before until now. We work from home so your pup will rarely be on their own. We also have a fenced back yard so they can play outside safely! We have three daughters that love to play with dogs so they will keep them perfectly entertained. We enjoy family walks in our neighborhood that your pup would join us on! We currently have no other pets after our sweet dog passed away a year ago. We miss having a dog in our home but aren’t ready for a new permanent pup so Rover seemed like a wonderful idea for our family. Your dog will be treated as our own with our girls being able to play with your pup in our fenced back yard.
“Dana is just amazing as always. Smokey had a great time this weekend. Dana takes such great care of our baby. She definitely spoils him. Highly, highly recommend her.”

“Amazing sitter! Got a lot of updates which really eased my anxieties about leaving my puppy. She was super kind and made sure that I knew she was ok throughout my whole trip. She went above and beyond by brushing her and walking her multiple times a day. If you’re looking for a sitter I would recommend her any day.”

“Amanda was very communicative and helpful! She let me pick my boy up late after I had a long day of traveling but wanted to get him back rather than wait another day. I would love to use her services in the future and I highly recommend her. I'm always worried being away from my boy and hardly leave but I've now found someone safe for him. Thank you so much Amanda and family!!”

About: Hi! I'm a dependable and caring animal lover who treats every pet like they're my own. I've had a few pups of my own over the years, including my precious baby, Marlowe, who has taught me so much about patience, training, and the unconditional love our pets give us. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, my goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I'm attentive to each pet's unique personality and routine, and I'm happy to follow any special instructions, including medications, feeding schedules, and exercise needs. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member, and I would be honored to give them the same love, attention, and care l'd want for my own pets. I'm currently a stay-at-home wife, so I'm home most of the day and able to give your pet lots of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. Dogs in our care are rarely left alone for more than 2-4 hours. Cur home is a cozy, pet-friendly single-family home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and explore. We have a 2-bedroom, 1-bath home that's clean, comfortable, and designed with our own dog, Marlowe, in mind. Marlowe is an almost 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix who is incredibly friendly and loves meeting other dogs. We allow her on the furniture and bed because she's part of our family, but she usually chooses to sleep in her crate with the door open. We also take safety seriously by "Marlowe-proofing" areas of our home and limiting access to certain rooms when we're away. It's just my husband and me in the home, creating a calm, low-stress environment for visiting pets. While our neighborhood isn't ideal for long walks, we love taking dogs on walks in downtown areas for new sights, smells, and exercise. Whether your pup enjoys playtime in our fenced yard or relaxing indoors, they'll receive plenty of love, attention, and care while they're with us.
“Margaret took great care of our senior golden. He got to go for long walks and play with her sweet dog. I don’t think I he wanted to come home! We will gladly ask to to care for our pup again in the future.”

“Amy and Ross did a fantastic job taking care of our girl! The meeting ahead of time gave me peace of mind about where she would be and who she would be with. She warmed up to them quickly and I appreciated the photos and the video they shared while I was away! I would highly recommend their services to anyone.”

“Sandra is great! I could tell Mojo really enjoyed being there with her and I loved how she kept me updated on how things were going and providing photos a videos throughout his stay. She took him on long walks and let the kids play with him, which I know he soaked up every ounce of that extra love!”

“Leaving my dear baby is never easy, but sometimes it's necessary. Tara was quick to respond to my initial request for a boarding, and leaving my Bella with her gave me peace of mind, knowing she was in good hands and would be cared for as if she were at home. Tara’s friendly communication and update pictures reassured me of her professionalism and loving care. I will definitely reach out again for boarding in the future.”

“Angelique and her family are awesome! Gave Evita a wonderful greeting along with their fur baby Josie. I was given updates and photos daily. She was also Super accommodating with our schedule. Definitely recommend.”

“Celeste is the best. I had an unexpected delayed flight, and thankfully, Celeste was able to watch my dog longer than I had planned. I was updated regularly with pictures while on vacation that made my day. I knew my dog was in safe hands so I could enjoy my vacation. I definitely will use Celeste again.”

“Omg Shaunice saved me! I learned that my current sitter was leaving the state and couldn't keep Poundcake. I was worried I wouldn't find a sitter in enough time. She came through and was amazing with my pup. She was caring and sweet with him and sent tons of pics and videos. The pics were AMAZING. It was like Poundcake was having a photoshoot. He got to go to the dog park and make new fur friends. I am excited to have found my new pet sitter and will definitely book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Concord
We just moved to NC from PA and our dog is still adjusting. Shay was very kind and patient with Bella and walked her daily, which is Bella's favorite activity. She even bought her a name tag with our new address on it. I would definitely recommend Shay to take care of your dog!

Itzel was the best. Flexible when I was running late and had to have a friend do the pick up. Sent updates while he was there without me asking. Made sure he was comfortable and fed because my cat, EBJ is kind of skittish and had to warm up. He’s back and seems to be doing great. Thank you! Would be happy to leave him there again.

Deana was amazing with my almost 17-year-old dachshund mix, Duncan! She sent regular updates and the sweetest pictures, which really put me at ease while I was away. She even made sure Duncan got his meds exactly as prescribed, despite finding out she was allergic to them herself. That kind of care and dedication means so much. I’d absolutely trust her with Duncan again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
