Hello and welcome! Our family loves to have extra pets around, and we’re excited to welcome your dog into our home. We’re a lively, loving household with kids ranging from ages 4 to 13, so there's always something happening here! With so many people around, your pup will never feel alone. We also have a dog, Stella, who we adopted in 2015 when she was just six weeks old—she's now a happy nine-year-old, and she'd love some new company. We also have a cat, so your pet will be in good company. Our home is smoke-free and kid-friendly, with a fully fenced-in backyard for your dog to play in as much as they like. I have experience walking dogs with Wag since I moved to the area in 2015, and I’ve always loved caring for animals. My cousin, who lives with us, is like a bonus parent and has a great way with both pets and kids, so rest assured, your pup will be well taken care of by a team of caring hands! I work in Matthews three days a week and from home in Concord two days a week, so there’s always someone here. You might drop off or pick up your dog with me, my husband James, or my cousin Meghan. If you're farther away, I'm happy to coordinate a convenient meet-up for drop-off or pick-up. Looking forward to meeting your furry friend!

Amanda and her family were a great fit for our little Chiweenie, Mavis. Communication before and during the stay was excellent! Mavis was with Amanda and her family for 5 nights and 6 days- we received pictures and video updates. Amands was flexible with scheduling- we were able to stay on our trip one more night and she was more than happy to take care of Mavis one more day. She also made choosing the extra night so easy to book on river-she set it up on rover on my behalf and sent me a link to approve an extra night. I didn’t even have to go into rover and try to figure it out! Allowing Mavis to stay an extra day was a bonus, she would’ve gotten 5 stars regardless! We are looking forward to working with Amanda again.

Schedule
We're happy to do whatever we can to make your pup comfortable. If you have a set feeding schedule please let me know. I feed my dog around 7am and 7pm.

Safety, trust & environment
The backyard is totally fenced in (the front is only partial). I treat each dog the way I would treat my own. My kids get excited about each new dog that arrives but generally keep to themselves. They like to play, but only when the dog initiates it. if a pup is more reserved, the kids will let them be.
Pets
A typical day
Depending on the season and weather we like to splash around in a kiddie pool in the back yard or play catch. Your pup is welcome to sniff out our yard and run around as much or as little as they would like.
