“This by far has been the best Rover experience my dog Gucci is super anxious around people and SINDHU made him feel so welcome. I’m so blessed to I found her and her family. “Baili is a plesent person. Got my puppies back, they were cold up on pick up, one had diarrhea, so he ate something he wasn't supposed too. She only gave updates when I asked for it, even tho I requested random updates. But I'm happy to have them back alive and for the most part well”

About: I got my first dog at 15 and have never gone without pets since. I have service dogs and I’m comfortable with working breeds and the training that is associated. I also have a cat, several reptiles, and some misfits critters. There’s really not much I won’t be able to handle given enough information concerning your pet. I’m also a former medic and have plenty knowledge for special needs animals and identifying emergencies. Pet care is the start and end of my day, a lot of my schedule revolves around my mini-zoo. I’m a part time worker with full control over my schedule which allows me to focus deeply on my animal’s needs. I care about my pets as if they are family. Their activity levels, training, affection, diet, and rest are an every day concern. Others pets would be seen the same way and given the same level of care. I have plenty alternative means of caring depending on the pet personality as well, I.e. kennels, separate or same rooms, special walks and even some training thrown around in.
“Great experience! She was very flexible and took great care of William. He did very well on his extended visit and she was easy to communicate and work with would totally book this sitter again!”

“Usually when we leave our pup at the kennel he comes home and has an upset stomach. When he stayed with Morgan and her family he came home so normal and happy. Def booking again :)”

“Mike was great with Legend! This was our first time using Rover services, and Legends first time being with anyone other than family. I was unsure, and worried, but upon meeting Mike was cool & very knowledgeable, took great care of my baby. He sent updates with pictures, daily. He also kept him on the schedule, doing same routine as I, which is very much appreciated. I’ll definitely rebook with Mike, when needed in future!”

“Although I had to cancel, I was so impressed by Michelle’s wonderful personality and love for dogs that I will most definitely call on her in the event that I will need a boarding facility for my beloved Binky in the future.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better family to watch my dog, Moura, for five days. They always had someone at home, gave her constant attention, and treated her like part of their family. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such caring hands. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Granite Quarry
Kim was truly incredible from start to finish. I reached out for a last-minute overnight stay, and she responded right away and was able to accommodate us within just a couple of hours. That level of flexibility meant so much to me. She was so warm and gentle with Patrick, and he felt comfortable immediately which says everything. You can tell she genuinely cares and treats the dogs like her own. I’m beyond grateful for her help and the peace of mind she gave me. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to any owner looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
