“Lynann took such good care of my boy. She sent an abundance of videos and photos each day which made our vacation much more peaceful knowing he was in good hands. Do not hesitate to book with her! She is very responsive and will love your pet as if it was her own. We went to pick our boy up and he didn’t want to leave. Will be booking with her again in the near future.”

“We will absolutely be using Karen again After so many struggles to find a home away from home for our fur babies, this is absolutely the best. Every single morning, and multiple times throughout the day she took the time to send pictures. She even sent pictures of the little things that our dogs in particular love ( such as lap/snuggle time for our 70 l.b.) golden retriever. Our dogs are allowed on our furniture at home, so that was definitely an added plus that she allowed that as well. Despite how insanely energetic our pups are, they were completely exhausted by the time we picked them up! The price is well, well worth the peace of mind that comes with leaving your puppies with Karen.”
“Thank you so much for taking such good care of Kobe; he had a delightful time with you the past two days. It was a great help to me knowing he was in a good place having fun and getting special treatment. He will miss coming to your house.”

“My Golden Retriever stayed with Vedad and Karina for 2 days and they were great. Very easy to communicate and they sent pictures and updates. He was happy and not stressed when we pick him up. Great service and like to keep him with them again.”

About: With me your dog will have lots of wags and a friend to keep him/her busy while you are away. My motto is a “tired puppy is a happy puppy”, and that’s what I bring to every pet experience - a calm approach, energetic play, a lazy nap, or a mixture of all of it depending on your pets needs. Almost 10 years experience dog-sitting has taught me to be aware & respectful of a dog’s boundaries with other animals, and aware of a dog’s need for rest and play to stay happy! Dog’s in my care at my home will have a fenced in yard & will be kept clean, safe, and busy. The best care for your pet is a familiar face, so I hope to build long-term pet-sitter confidence. I work from home & I only take small dogs who are friendly towards other dogs. No cats or children in my home. I currently work fully remote & have a fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood so I have regular breaks to play with your pet outside. I have a 12lb doxie who loves other small dogs. As an experienced dog owner & sitter, I always introduce dogs outside for the first meeting. I listen to your dog’s specific care needs & requests. I always communicate on how your pet is doing & can answer questions as they come up so you can be at ease knowing your pet is receiving the best care in my home.
“Amy & Ross were great and helped me out last minute over the holiday! They sent daily pictures & updates of Artie and definitely made me feel comfortable that he was being cared for. They gave him lots of attention and exercise as well. I’ll definitely book with them again!”

“Arleen was very engaged and active with Loki from our first get to know you meeting to his week long stay. She was attentive to his dietary, sleeping and play needs. She walked Loki daily and took him on outings. He was well taken care of and we will definitely have her take care of Loki again! I think Loki has missed her since coming home!”

“Samantha was absolutely amazing with Bentley! I was out of the country during his stay, and she kept me updated the entire time with messages and videos, which really put my mind at ease. It meant so much to see how well he was doing and to know he was in such great hands. She is incredibly sweet, patient, and clearly cares about the pets she watches. My return flight ended up getting messed up and caused some scheduling issues for pickup, but Samantha was so understanding and worked with me while I figured everything out. She adjusted without any complaints and was very courteous about the whole situation. I truly appreciate her kindness and flexibility. I will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“Katherine kept us up to date on our puppy and sent us daily pictures. She was treated like part of the family and the drop off and pick up was seamless. Will definitely be a repeat customer!”

“I had an excellent experience booking with Mashawnda. She went above and beyond to accommodate me at the last minute. She sent daily updates, complete with photos and videos of my dog, which truly put my mind at ease. She also ensured my dog got his daily walks and followed all the care instructions I left for her. My pup returned extremely happy, and I'm definitely planning to book with her again soon. Thank you for taking such great care of my furry friend!”

“Our second time booking with Debora. She is our go to for when we need a dog sitter. She is amazing. We got lots of pictures and updates. I feel completely comfortable leaving our dog with Debora and would recommend to anyone considering using Rover.”

“Talia did an amazing job caring for Dino. She sent photos and descriptions of their time together, making him part of her family. Dog parks, long walk and playtime with her family’s pet were just part of their routine. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. And he smelled great when I picked him up! She bathed him (which is no easy task.)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
